Pros: You ask JH about his affect. You say he chuckles and he agrees. Says same as at grad school
Do you find that to be consistent that he was this was throughout?

Reid: more complicated but generally so
He presented in class fairly well, sometimes poorly. JH said when focus wasn’t on his he did better

Freezing issue: He is anxious and i believe that. 2 ways to deal:

1. Fight
2. Run away

Freezing is different

In JH that primitive way of dealing w. anger is close to surface and he’s conscious of it

Most of us wouldn’t be aware if it happens. JH is aware as it happens (saws).
This is not a lie. It’s how he perceives and uncomfortable to talk about

I still am struggling with why the Prosecution would think this is a good idea to play this entire interview of 22 hours long. It seems like so much of it can hurt the prosecution rather than help them.

It seems a much better approach would be to have just selected certain parts that benefit them.

Or just question the doctor on what they want to focus on.

I'm willing to bet that this guy rips him apart and is able to get him to tell the truth....sort of

Pros: Do you find there’s a guardedness w. anger?

Reid: Yes. Has to do w. guarding against things inside him from seeing
What’s inside him.
I don’t see it as guarding me from seeing something to help pros. or defense. Not a legalistic one
These are themes we will see in various contexts.

1. Intrusive thoughts is a specific psychiatric term?

A: It is. He’s a neuroscience major & has done research
Not unusal to me he would use that term

You ask abut GF and he was a virgin before her. Significance?
