He felt under appreciated, like an outcast knowing nobody cared that he was leaving school. Felt anxiety

I'm wondering IF it wasn't just him saying he isn't suppose to talk to others..but got affirmations of that with his defence team telling him do NOT talk to other's ( jail/prison mates)...Defence Team doesn't want another cell mate to get confession of JH saying he manipulated them and the world..so KEEP TRAP SHUT..something he had no trouble complying with since he's always distanced himself for others throughout his life!

I'm getting it now..tho it's been a long a tedious road...JH throughout his life feels un-valued..but was unwilling to actually do the work to enter socially to gain true friendships or work towards gaining respect or work with anyone else to get some help with that...Instead..became cynical, defiant and began to HATE EVERYONE..so decided to create chaos and mayhem in order to gain VALUE....Sick for sure..BUT well thoughtout and rational ....

It's rational because he weighed the pros and cons..and understood the folkways and morays of society and CHOSE to create his OWN ANSWER to his situations.....YUP..Sick but not LEGALLY INSANE..

OUT DAM SPOT~~Shakespeare's MacBeth quote is how I understand Jh's purpose!!
