All the use of deadly force by police by police these days is making my head spin.
Right now is just a tough time to be a cop. Acts of violence against them, national media scrutiny when using force. That's a tough gig.
It seems eye witness and police reports are contradicting each other here. However, in the case that the teen driver hit the officer or started to drive towards him and THEN he fired...totally justifiable.
Not so much if he simply fired numerous times at the vehicle and it lost control, hitting him.
I'm interested to see how this plays out.

I am not sure if that scenario is even possible. Here is why. The teen witness said that the cop that was hit, was trapped between the car and a fence.
So IF a cop shot the driver, and she then ran into the cop, I think she would have had to already be aiming the car towards the cop before she was shot.
I think that was why she was shot in the first place. The cops were most likely screaming STOP THE CAR, as it was heading towards the cop and the fence.
I don't see any way that the car was facing in a totally different direction, and then after being shot, the driver turned and went towards the cop.
