She seems really young to be a "true" runaway. I remember running away at that age. This entailed going around the block a few times and then coming back home.

I made it out to the street light (scared of the dark) with my pillow and an apple my father gave me incase I got hungry. LOL Lasted about 15 mins.

IMHO, LE will continue to make it sound like she is still alive until they find evidence that she is not. I do not think it means they have any reason to believe that she is alive, just that they have no evidence, such as blood, or a crime scene, to say that she is dead.
Also, they cannot exclude anyone entirely until they have evidence against someone specific.
This is all pretty much how all the cases I have followed go as far as the comments LE makes so I don't read much into what they have said so far in this case. I do think they have either her glasses, or some of her clothing, or both, but I may be reading too much into what they have said myself.

I am behind in reading... But I am having a CSI moment... So I am jumping in...

Please bear with me...

the Names of the streets of this intersection are Alpha and Andrew...

could they be clues from perp?...

Alpha = Alpha Male=Power

Andrew could be a First, Middle, or last name... Or nickname or alias?

Just thinking...

Wow. Good thinking. Everything has to be considered.

The meaning of the name Andrew is a strong man, warrior.

imo -- in regards to searching the open areas - if ya doing something you ought not to be doing. in a wide open area you can see people entering area most people just look where they're going - not scanning the horizens. also probly got escape routes worked out. any stray dog pack issues out there?

No, we do have foxes and coyotes in open space.

I hate to say it, but after LE found Sierra Lamar's backpack, didn't they make a statement about Sierra changing her clothes? IIRC, there were clothes at the scene that were neatly folded.

I am thinking the same thing....

Do you think it's possible that the perp had a grudge against the homeowner who's property the backpack was left on? You know...trying to make them look suspicious?

  • #271
Yes to what everyone is saying about the backpack.

To me, it's a really really bad sign. Not just because it's indicative of Jessica's probable fate :( but because it's a bit of psychological terrorism. I think the perp was offended that no one noticed his successful abduction until late evening. He wants everyone to know that he is watching and that he can strike anywhere at anytime.

If they don't catch him there will be more children.

I agree, IF this is really an abduction and not staged to look like one.

The upside is that if he is offended no one noticed and he's not getting "credit" he may very well lead them to Jessica.

We've seen that before and it sure would help. We want to find her, no matter her condition.

When I saw that streetsign, I admit I started thinking about old Agatha Christie stories, where the next piece of evidence would be found at Birch and Baker, Chestnut and Church, etc.

IIRC the bag was found on a sidewalk on a neighbor hood. the pictures i have seen of the area make me believe it was not on any ones property, but the public walkway

There is a person on Twitter who is adamant that she saw Jessica Saturday - @patriciagleso3 Seems she thinks no one in LE is listening to her:

Why not walk up and ask the girl if she's in a nail salon? I think Jessica resembles a lot of kids and there are going to be a lot of phantom sitings.

CBSDenver‏@CBSDenver

We've just posted to our website the 12:15pm briefing on #jessicaridgeway. Watch it here: http://cbsloc.al/SYHPnE

Thanks. I'm still trying to catch up this morning. He mentioned ICE had been brought in and their work in border investigations. Glad to see it covered, but a little speculation on her being taken to Mexico or Canada, imo. Also, in 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or trafficking. Sorry, hate to go there...but a possiblity. imo
