ARS left his DNA on the backpack as a slap in the face for LE. He knew he wasn't in the system for any DNA match. He thought he wouldn't get caught and played cat and mouse with LE. He didn't expect the voluntary DNA sampling.

There have been several unsolved violent attacks in Boulder over the last year. (I will try to link) I'm under the impression he is being looked at for those.

IMO

Isn't it possible that moms vehicle was already at the police station where she was with Austin at the time they started the investigation on the house?? What if RS bought him the jeep?? Just my ideas...

Eta: how do I get that little thumbs down icon off my post?? I accidentally skimmed over it w/my thumb and didn't realize it posted... I'm on my smartphone

Can't help you with the thumbs ... but Austin contacted police from home.

Thank you so much for a map with all the locations marked!

One comment ... Clear Creek and the 22 year old on June 29, 2011 are the same, with the address of 10400 W. 44th Ave. Also, the last news about the case was that investigators were waiting for toxicology reports ... so that could be completely unrelated.

There were no missing hands, head and feet. That is a wild rumor based on speculation about what "not intact" meant. There is nothing more to it.

News reports are that her torso was found at the open space, and additional remains were found in his mother's crawl space.

Do you have a link that describes this?

I don't have a link describing that hands, feet and head were not missing ... as there is no link about them missing. That was simply speculation regarding the meaning of "not intact". Regarding the remains that have been found, I thought quite a few links about this had already been posted. Did you do a search for "torso" and "Jessica Ridgeway" in google?

"Sigg reportedly told his mother that he was responsible for the murder of the 10-year-old who was abducted while walking to school. Part of her dismembered remains were found five days later in a field at a park. The torso was reportedly found on Oct. 10."

"Police came to the home and Sigg, 17, told police in great detail about what happened to Jessica. He also told them that human remains were inside a crawl space under the home."

IMO he is responsible for this one. Her sister said she had a run in with a creepy dude on Craigslist. When you think of CREEPY ARS fits.

When he turns 18 will the LE unseal some things?
If he had a juvie record, will they let that come out?

In most states, juvie records are sealed automatically and permanently. I can not say what the case for CO is though as I have never lived there and am not familiar with their laws. Sometimes if the person continues to have criminal offenses though the juvie record isn't expunged. So that may be the case with AS.

There are two cases. One is a woman in her 40s that put an ad on Craig's list for a room mate and who was afraid because she had been contacted by a creepy guy. She was parked on the side of the road when a police officer stopped to see if she was okay. She said that she was fine, so he left. Later, her vehicle was found abandoned and she is missing. The other case involves a 22 year old that was found in the creek. Toxicology reports were being done, and that's the last thing we heard.

:great:
I'm behind on posts, but I just had to thank you for taking the awesome responsibility seriously!

I've seen many cats traumatized when they lose their "furever" homes and wind up in rescue because of a new boyfriend, new job, new apartment, etc.

OT, but I have recently moved from Seattle (and previously SF) where the shelters have a 90% save rate, to Larimer county, CO, where the shelter has a 75% save rate. and some antiquated systems. it's really hard. 75% isn't that bad, except when you know it can be 90% and that the shelter isn't doing everything it can to reach that goal. it feels a little backwards sometimes here.

there's lots of creepy guys on CL, but I thought it was said that the person who placed the ad was AS? did he used to have roommates and moved back home? or was it a fake ad altogether?

I'm not making any connections between those reddish marks, other reddish marks in the image and anything else.

Could that be blood?

Could that be blood?

I don't think so. I think it's fall colors. I used photoshop to push the red and lighten the surrounding areas.

IMO, LE is still looking for more items connected to JR.

I have an acquaintance who goes to Standley Lake every day. He said that when JR went missing, WPD began seriously searching through all the marshy areas. He told me this week that they are STILL out there searching, every other day or so, several times a day.

The link below shows some pictures of the area around the lake. Standley Lake is about a mile away from Ketner lake, and 1.5 miles from Witt Elementary School.
