Tree down ...

  • #682
The pics we saw last night the tree was down.

That's what I thought too. Wasn't it down? Is it not down now??

I'm assuming they may have cut it down to comb over it for any bit of evidence that may have been carried into it by scavenger birds.

There's a reason they're continuing the search for her, they don't have all of her yet. :( Sadly, after what I saw, I thought that last night. I'm honestly not sure if it was animals, I saw a black garbage bag around what appeared to be a torso.

I don't have a link but I'm pretty sure one of the news stories from last night mentioned the body was in a garbage bag.

Really wishing I had taken screenshots of those pix last night. Normally I am really good about that, was just so tired I lapsed. Need to figure this tree thing out.

This drives me nuts - we all heard the POI say that the body was not intact. But here is how it is now being reported:

http://www.9news.com/news/article/293899/71/Body-dismembered-still-unknown-if-its-Jessica

The body is referred to as dismembered. To me, that is something a little different than "not intact". Dismemberment sounds more like a deliberate act on someone's part, whereas "not intact" could mean the body was disturbed by predators or scavengers.

Does anybody else feel that dismembered is not the same as "not intact"??

Dismembered could be done by an animal or human being. So I find it pretty much the same meaning. Of course the police would try to say it as sterile as possible in the PC knowing the pain and suffering of the parents.

I think LE is talking to the media behind the scenes. They even mentioned yesterday they could talk more with their officers when they have questions.

So imo I think most likely the body was intentionally dismembered. This can mean one or two things. The perp knew Jessica and didnt want her IDd or another sadist pedo has struck again.

IMO

It appears to me as well that the tree was originally upright. Hmmm...

if it were animal activity, I would think they would find other parts very close by. I can only imagine this sick twist disposing of her body parts all over the place like he did the backpack. This is a game to him.

nevermind, I'm really slow!

if you look at Zola picture, there is a downed tree to the left.

  • #695
If I'm looking at it right, in the pictures posted by Zola, the tree is upright during daylight, near the small wooden fence where her body was located. In the pictures when it's dark, the tree is down, right by that same fence. At least that's what it looks like to me.

http://www.hlntv.com/video/2012/10/11/jessica-ridgeway-colorado-missing In this video this morning at 8:30am, the search in Westminster will cont, along with some additional open areas they're planning on working today. Maybe they're looking for other missing people's bodies if this is as bad as it appears. But I think the fact both PD depts are working together it is Jessica's body.

But the daytime picture is probably an old picture from bing or google maps, right?

tree:
if you look at this from the above view on google the tree is down.

https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=39.846801,-105.20916&spn=0.000611,0.000603&t=h&z=21

If you look at it from the street view it is still up.

The photo with the #3 is a different tree (the one with the firetruck)
Go to street view and go back up the road toward the building and you can see the second tree..

Not necessarily. Animals can carry things quite a ways if they need to.
