are there other MS or FB pages you all are looking at?

PS- 12 is young for any boyfriend imo...i would think cops would be more interested...17 is way too old

I agree, however LE has more worries, at the moment.

i meant they need to clear him and any others, if they had not...

praying with all the fibers in my body that LE is continuing to work this around the clock. I have a really, really, really bad feeling that she stumbled into a horrible person...

I hope it isn't too late. Please God... don't let it be.

What does the age of her boyfriend have to do with finding her? I hope they would check him out thoroughly whether he is 17 or 13.

IMO, this is a HUGE issue. It says a lot about her lifestyle (i.e. who she hangs out with), it says a lot about her home dynamics (i.e. mom gives her lots of freedom), it says a lot about the friends of her brother (i.e. they prey on young girls), it says a lot about her state of mind (i.e. she thinks she is older than she is)

Bringing this forward - the only item Kayleah was known to be carrying - for those who would like to know what a red inhaler looks like - if you see one in the area, street, bushes etc. please call the police.

Are we (civilians) allowed to go out and search for it?

Okay, I understand now. I believe an earlier post said he was co-operating, then I just heard Jean on NG say it as well.

I am with Nurse, this is too long. Searching the dumpsters now, good grief that should have been done Monday. I think we should write a book on how LE should respond to this missing children reports. The Somer Thompson case was the best responding i think i ever read about.

i do worry about the fact that she looks so much older than 12, as i am sure she feels older too...i did when i was her age...and she may have been flattered by attention from older boys/young men...

again i do think what pat brown said had more to do with the usual preference of child molesters as they prey on children who look young for their age to feed their sick fantasies and also want someone small and light to handle easily and overpower...i don't think she was saying that her weight makes her unappealing, just a little less likely to be targeted as a rule...but SO's sometimes take any opportunity that comes their way...

My two cents....Her friends know where she is and I think she just checked in with her BFF.

could you send me the myspace?

IMO....the big difference is that a 17 year old would have access to a car, and be able to be out on his own for hours at a time with no one checking up too closely on his activities or location. HOPEFULLY, no 13 year old would have the same capacity to be involved in the disappearance to such an extent as would a 17 year old.

I definitely agree about Somer's case! But that did seem to be an entirely different scenario all the way around from what supposedly happened with Kayleah, including the possibility she just ran off. MOO

I think that is exactly what PB meant, it just didn't come off that way when she spoke. MOO

Yes, FL did a great job in that case...and yet it was still too late...that is what is so scary...
I hope Kayleah is just afraid to come home now, with FBI involved etc, the huge media and town reponse may be freaking her out...

Was Kayleah going to the library to use the computer or did she do that at home? Maybe theres myspace or facebook entrys we don't know about under a different account.

So did she show up on a surveillance camera or what??????

I agree, unless someone picked her up right where the underpass is.
There might be cameras that are hard to spot. Seems like that underpass would be a good place to put some, maybe even infrared for at night. Does anyone else think they are kind of acting like they might know she made it over to the other side of the highway?

Perhaps I need to revisit my position on this issue, since I seem to be in a minority here. I had boyfriends that old when I was 12. Yet, I am from a very respectable family with a very involved stay-at-home mom, was always an A student and never got into any trouble. I was just precocious.

I think they need to look at the boyfriend up, down and sideways, turn him over and shake him up and then look at him again. But, I think they need to do that with all aspects of her life.

I get a little concerned about what the 17-yr old is looking for with a 12-yr old, rather than her motive...all young girls like being admired by older boys...but he should probably have other interests, that is a big gap at that age. I agree, it was a bit different when i was young...i was 14 when my BF was 17...and it seemed very normal back then...
