Huge amount of leads in this case, and need to be tracked down. FBI agent Dave Jolly out of Denver, Kayleah did not have cell phone. How did Kayleah carry little inhaler? prob in her pocket. No amber alert issued.

A Greeley girl who is a good friend of missing Kayleah Wilson said today the girl had never talked about running away or going to California to see her father.

Wilson, 12, lives in south Greeley, and left her home last Sunday afternoon to walk to a friend's birthday party. She never arrived at the party and never returned home.

Dozens of Greeley police officers and FBI agents have been working the case, interviewing and re-interviewing friends and relatives. No trace of the girl has yet been found, although that also means investigators haven't found any evidence of foul play.

Some family members have speculated that Kayleah may have run off to California to see her father.

Jessica Thompson, 12, attends a different school than Kayleah, but they attend church together at Abundant Life Fellowship. “She's a great friend,” Jessica said this morning. “She's a lot of fun to hang out with at the mall or go to movies. I was going to ask her to spend the night at my house, but then...” Jessica's voice trailed off when she spoke of her friend's disappearance.

Jessica said she found out about her missing friend early this week when a police officer came to Heath Middle School with a picture. “I asked him, ‘Is that Kayleah?'” and he said it was, and asked some questions about her.”

Kaylea's father is in California and hasn't seen his daughter for several years. Some family members speculated she may have gone to California to see him, but police have been in constant touch with the father and he denies knowing anything about the disappearance.

Kayleah apparently had a boyfriend who may be 17 years old, but Jessica Thompson said Kayleah never said anything to her about a boyfriend.

Please forgive me as I'm playing catch up here - just learned of this case watching NG, then I found this thread. I'm a little confused (nothing new); Based on this article, why is Kaylea's friend Jessica only learning/hearing about her friend's disappearance from LE? I understand that they didn't attend the same school but did attend church together - my question is, why wouldn't Kaylea's parents have called all of her friends that she was known to hang out with ("go to the mall or movies") and ask them if they've seen her, in particular this friend? Something does not feel right here IMO... Prayers for Kaylea.

I also just heard of the case while watching NG's show tonight and I'm confused about a couple of other things ~ such as the 17 y/o boyfriend to start with and a question about her not carrying a birthday present for the friend whose party she was supposed to be going to. I guess my question is ~ was she even intending to go to the party or could she have possibly met up with the b/f? :waitasec: I haven't had a chance to read back on the case yet.

On Thursday FBI agents were back at Wilson's apartment. They told CBS4 they were gathering what might be considered useful evidence if criminal charges might wind up being filed in the case.

I really dont like the idea that they are gathering evidence at the house.....and the comment someone posted about did they know if something had happened at the house.......and their reply was "nothing we can talk about today".....

hmm....something suss here.....once again has it been confirmed that there was a birthday party????

my line of thought.......of course...thought only......is that maybe her and mum had a fight.....and she maybe left the house and hid somewhere .....or is hiding at someones place......just think something may have happened at the house prior to her leaving...

Bringing this forward - the only item Kayleah was known to be carrying - for those who would like to know what a red inhaler looks like - if you see one in the area, street, bushes etc. please call the police.

2)did not hear mention of comp
3)no confirmation on birthday party, and reporter did not know if she carried a gift, never met up with her friend at 4 pm, LE said window of opportunity was 3:40 to 4:10 pm
