Wow.... So much for the dirty looks, and staredowns. That's all gone. I especially liked when he got into the elevator and faced backward, towards the wall. No wait, my favorite part was actually when one of the reporters asked, "Where's Kelsey, Patrick? K wants to know".

Haaaa. I’m still waiting for an accused criminal to actually answer a question like that.

“You got a map?”

Exactly. And it is not only jurisdiction, the state of CO has legal custody of the baby. I think it benefits everyone to sort this out now as much as possible. The B's are stuck in CO, likely in a hotel. If they are to be permanent custodians per the court, then they can go home and settle into their new normal. There really isn't much reason for them to be in CO - if it were me, I would want to go home.

As for the F's, they must make their petitions now, while the child is in CO. I don't even understand the issues some people raise based on frothing emotionality instead of the law.

Do we know if Kelsey's townhouse was released as a crime scene? If the scene has been released, her family could be staying there. It would have all of Baby K's clothes and baby items and be a familiar environment for the baby at least.

right, and CB was even so careful as to not even say she wanted to see the baby on camera. She didn't want to make PF look like he wasn't cooperative. She's stronger than I.

It reminds me a bit of the Crystal Rogers case. She’s missing, presumed dead. Her boyfriend (baby’s dad) is a person of interest, but he’s never been arrested. The court denied Crystal’s mother visitation of the baby, who is in custody of the father/POI. In this case, Crystal’s mother was very outspoken in that she believes the boyfriend is guilty. I’m sure that spilled over in her interaction with the grandchild because it was deemed the visits were too disruptive. It’s especially sad in that Crystal’s mom is raising Crystal’s other children (previous relationship(s)) who must miss their sibling. Crystal has a thread here on WS.

Obviously Kelsey’s case is different in that LE believes she is decreased and PF has been arrested, but it occurred to me that Kelsey’s mom in her interviews seemed to go of her way to not speak negatively about PF.

We don’t know if it was released, but it still wouldn’t make any sense for them to stay there.

Who wants to live in the same house where their daughter was likely murdered?

I kinda hope they're staying somewhere with some security... :/

today is not the day for the murderer's mother to file for custody either, when the child's murdered mother's family has finally gotten some semblance of comfort. That SF would do this says it all to me.
Compare those two women. CB has not publically slammed PF or his family. She has class and grace in the face of the worst thing a mother could ever face. She has strength. Kelsey looked so much like her and most likely had many of her qualities. On the other hand there was no support for Kelsey and her family by the Frazee's, and before PF was even an announced suspect, they were denying the Berreth family a chance to see Baby K. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Cheryl Berreth and I pray Baby K gets to be raised by this family.

I don't think that I could stay in the house that my daughter was murdered in. I would never want my granddaughter who may have witnessed the violence to ever be in that house again.
I think that Kelsey's parents are quite affluent or they seem to be.

Right.. and with walls torn out..

This just bugs me. SF did not provide the majority of the baby's care - the baby's mother did. and maybe her father. until her father killed her mother. SF has no special rights to that baby just bc KB was killed and PF refused to let anyone else see the baby.

Colorado cares about best interest of the child. The baby is about 1.5 years old. Grandma Frazee may have provided the majority of care. She has every right to seek a slow transition to the Berreth family, so the baby isn’t confused.

As painful as it is for us adults to think of the mother of the possible murderer to continue care, it is that baby’s right not to be yanked away from what is familiar.

What a mess.

Agreed. Cheryl Berreth is truly exceptional, even amidst the most horrific of circumstances.

me too. PF set it up so that his family would have the baby, to make it more likely for them to keep the baby. and people seem to accept this carte blanche. thank goodness CB was awarded temp custody - hopefully permanent custody. There is no argument to be made that the baby is more familiar with SF.

While I respect your opinion that you find him not "bad looking", or "ugly or anything",

does the fact that he is "likely a killer" make him uglier to you?
Quoting you.

It makes him a horrible person, and proves that looks could be deceiving.

Earlier, before video emerged of SF leaving court, posters were wondering where she went. I half-expected her to be arrested. LE never offered an adequate explanation for that day when 5 police vehicles stormed up to the ranchette, saying it was "routine followup". I wondered if they had a SW for SF's phone.

Anyway, it's getting late toward Monday's criminal hearing, and no further arrests yet. Will Friday be another drop the hammer day?

Maybe not even walls torn out. Many years ago while trying to separate frozen thinks from each other with a carving knife, I lacerated the pad on my thumb which severed an artery. I waited a few hours to go to the doctor because I thought pressure would stop the bleeding. It did not and for weeks later I was finding spots of blood everywhere that I had been in my home. Even on the tops of kitchen cupboard doors that had been closed. This was a minor injury.

CB reminds me of the beautiful family of Shan'ann Watts.
During these horrid times, they showed such class.

I sure wouldn't want to live there, but on the other hand, I might want to be near my daughter's things. Perhaps it depends on where they are in their grief. I think staying there when I didn't know the details of the crime might be easier. After finding out how she died I probably could not stand to be there anymore. Technically, they may own the house when KB is declared deceased (KB transferred her loan to her family's LLC) and they will have to sell it eventually. Someone else will live there later. MOO.

It will be hard for them to sell or rent it in the near future.

Yeah. A violent homicide scene isn’t generally a good selling point.
