Apparently I am confused..... I thought the TMH Club hosted a trip up to Aspen. I didn't realize it was a local CC event. Sorry for the confusion!!

That's ok....lol Cripple Creek tries to do whatever they can to bring in money up there so they do Aspen Tours in September but they drive you through in small buses. It does not last long, usually by sometime in October they are getting their first snow and the summer residents and tourist are pretty much gone by then.

PF just did their feet is all.

What if a photo was taken by the contract killer to prove to PF that Kelsey was really dead in order for the killer to be paid the second half payment?

The more I see of PF, the more I think this wasn’t an attempt to hire a legitimate hit man, and was likely more him asking a friend, acquaintance, or even girlfriend to do it for him.

I can't equate a fully grown man who wants to get rid of the mother of his child and murders her with teenagers who lack full frontal lobe development and think it's fun to burn buildings and don't appreciate the consequences of that (due to the lack of frontal lobe development).

He didn't take pictures of the woman he murdered, IMO.

I don't know. I just don't think this case is as complicated as some might think? It just seems to me like a good ol' boy who wanted to get rid of the mother of his child and who asked for help accomplishing the "task" and getting rid of evidence after it was done.

Someone has talked. But there may also be accomplices not yet charged. Or not.
Since the arrest warrant is sealed due to the fact that unsealing it may put someone or some others at risk of harm, tells me there is some dangerous dude out there that has a stake in all this. Maybe this is the hold up to further arrest/arrests. They haven't located him yet.

Even if it turns out there is another woman in the picture, it does not change custody being the motive for me; in fact, even more likely, imo. Whatever his plans, he made sure the child was safely ensconced at him house, in his physical custody.

If he didn’t care so much about custody, imo, he could have killed her, or had her killed in what was meant to look like a home invasion, for example, or a kidnapping, and made a call to LE to do a welfare check the same day (knowing the child was not injured) so that the baby would be found quickly. But then he may not have been able to take her right away without a legal battle. All jmo

A legitimate hitman probably goes through with the hit.

Not sure that is soliciting so much as conspiring? But we shall see. I feel like the charge sounds very specific, as in offering money to do a crime. I guess that could be a friend...but sounds more like finding some shady 🤬🤬🤬🤬 who will do anything for money. But of course his internet history may show he browsed “hit men” for all we know.

New details are emerging in the case of a missing Colorado mom who police suspect was killed by her fiance around Thanksgiving.

Indeed, a cousin of 29-year old Kelsey Berreth tells Fox News that Berreth, a flight instructor, moved from Washington to Colorado for love of the man now accused of her murder.

The cousin, JoDee Garretson, says Berreth met 31-year-old cattle rancher Patrick Frazee online in early 2016, and moved from Warden, Washington, a few months later to be closer to him. They were ultimately engaged and while they lived in separate homes about 15 miles apart, they shared custody of a 1-year-old daughter, Kaylee.

Authorities have served multiple search warrants, processed numerous items, and conducted dozens of interviews. The evidence includes cellphone data, which indicate Berreth's phone was used near Gooding, Idaho, some 800 miles from her home.

Maybe. Could be. Or could be that they aren't sure yet and want to protect the investigation and witnesses. It's also a great way to forestall the release of information.

Is this the same WM facility?

Colorado Springs fire crews work to put out trailer fire at Waste Management

“COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Fire Department is working to put out a trailer fire at the Waste Management Colorado Springs Recycling Center.

Captain Brian Vaughan with CSFD tells us the trailer, located near East 4th and North Hancock, started to go up in flames around 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Capt. Vaughan says the fire was in a normal household garage stored in a semi-trailer at the recycling site. Crews used an aerial device or ladder truck to pour approximately 3,000 gallons of water into the interior of the trailer to extinguish it.

The cause of the fire has not been determined but it's been reported that the trailer was threatening a nearby power pole. There were no reports of the fire interrupting any service around the area.

No injuries were reported.

Check back to this article as more information becomes available.”

Can you link to that video?
Clayton Sandell on Twitter. Clayton Sandell (@Clayton_Sandell) on Twitter

I might be reading too much into his reaction but it was pause enough for me. I agree with pp that they’ll use his “love” for her to see if they can get him to speak, though I’m sure his atty and his brother were firm in conveying the importance of his right to remain silent.

A question for one of the lawyers here would be if giving out KBs schedule, key, etc. would be enough for the solicitation of murder charge. If it would, I would not rule out him asking a friend or family member vs a professional.

(and the drive from Divide to Cripple Creek is notorious for leaf peeping) its gorgeous. but if you are from out of town you dont really know where to go. So yes, an Aspen tour, of Aspen leaves, but not in Aspen Colorado, held by the 2 mile high club.
The 2 mile high club for who he was the farrier.

.....a rodeo friend, I think. Someone living transient like.

It really makes me sad because she seemed like such a sweet soul. She was obviously intelligent to be a pilot and teach pilots, but she seemed like such a modest person who did not need to be receiving attention, but possibly like someone who encouraged others instead.

I just watched, again, the Today Show story (Kelsey Berreth case: Parents of missing Colorado mom get custody of child.

There is a gentleman who was introduced as a "colleague" of PF with the Two Mile High Club/Cripple Creek. Searching the TMH Club, I see they are involved with donkeys and hold tours up to Aspen. Has anyone thought Aspen may be an area of interest to search. Years ago we drove from Denver to Aspen along the Continental Divide and let me tell you, I am not so sure I could do that again. The roadside drop up the CD was directly straight down in many spots. WAY DOWN.... Gorgeous but super scary.

I forget who was doing the sleuthing of the picture of KB and the donkey but I think they nailed it (maybe @margarita25 or @Gardener1850 ??) based on what I have read on the TMH Club... That is super sleuthing at it's finest!!!

Mods, feel free to delete if I am not allowed to mentioned the Two Mile High Club but since it was on national TV and there is a link, I thought it would be OK.

(Wasn’t me, I’m lurking with only one eye open here so I don’t read anything too graphic  )

I like that idea. She had just done some baking and was picking up groceries - it always struck me as odd that she was doing regular day to day things moments before her daughter was picked up rather than packing and preparing her daughter for a long visit with PF.

She returned home with groceries at about the same time that the red truck was seen parked at her house. It could have been an unplanned visit that escalated to murder.

Maybe PF told KB that he and the baby would go to get the tree, while KB prepared the meal for Thanksgiving? But that doesn't make sense because there would be more food in the kitchen than just the cinnamon rolls. But I can picture a scenario where he misled her about the plans for Thanksgiving day.

I'm thinking it's possible that there are more lies that were told to CB by PF as stalling tactics. But even if PF didn't tell CB any other lies-- she had talked to KB twice on Thanksgiving and may have assumed she was busy the rest of the long weekend with her plans with PF. Also, perhaps KB's work schedule after the Thanksgiving weekend was going to be busy. CB knew KB's work schedule according to the uncle. I got the impression she only called when she knew KB would be at home relaxing. Living out of state, she might have figured KB was too tired to call if she was working long shifts that week. I'm sure KB's mom has her own life and things to do that fill her time as well. By the time the next weekend came and she had not heard from her she might have only started seriously worrying then. She might have left messages and thought KB would call her when she had time. After a week of not hearing anything, though, it was reasonable to be concerned and ask for a well check. MOO.

Also, I think about what I was doing the week after Thanksgiving...I was decorating my house for Christmas, I was shopping for Christmas presents, etc. I like to decorate quite a bit for Christmas, so it’s a pretty busy week for me. I’d have also been cleaning if we’d had Thanksgiving guests at our house.

You put Kelsey’s busy work schedule on top of the stuff CB may have been doing, then add in any stories PF may have told CB when she called him, and it’s not necessarily that odd that so much time went by. The holidays are hectic.
