"Berreth was a regular customer at Paradise Spirits, a liquor store next door to Safeway, said owner Lon Rust.

She would come in after work, in her flight suit, he said. Berreth worked as a flight instructor at Doss Aviation in Pueblo.

“We talked about her being a pilot,” he said. “She was just a real sweet girl, really friendly.”

When he saw news reports that she had gone missing, Rust said he was “shocked.”

“I thought, ‘I know that girl,’” he said."

Probably going in to buy beer for Frazee.

May be of no relevance here, but I noticed today that I went to send a text, (still had my phone on airplane mode by accident) that it didn’t actually send. Once I took it off and power cycled my phone the two text messages I had been trying to send two hours before FINALLY sent. It made me think, what if he typed those messages, immediately shut the phone off, and put it in someone’s luggage or car. They get to Idaho notice a phone that’s not theirs, power it on and the messages send. Now who “they” are and why the phone hasn’t been found is a whole new thought I’ve yet to fully brainstorm as to how this scenario could play out, but it definitely is plausible.
Wouldn't they have to have the passcode?

LE don't tell us everything.
im leaning towards a new love interest for KB could be up their sleeve?

Sometimes, I think, we never know the true motive. A prosecutor can weave a story together from evidence. Even they don’t know if it’s the true motive. As long as the jury buys it, it suffices. Nancy Grace is phenomenal at creating motives. IMO
We never know the complete back story of these crimes. What did these people argue about from day to day? For all I know, they mutually agreed to parent together and not be a couple. Again, IMO, it’d be more unusual for her to share intimate details with her mom than to not. With many miles between them K was able to only share what she wanted her mom to know.
MOO

I am curious about the Gooding, Idaho cell phone ping. Her parents live in Sandpoint, Idaho which is a full days drive from Gooding. She had connections in Moses Lake, Washington but I didn't see anything about PK having connections anywhere in Idaho or Washington. Would he have gone that far for work (ie: Rodeo or farrier related)?

Hi all. I haven’t posted in months, but have been trying to keep up here. I have a question. It seems a well accepted assumption that KB & PF had a rocky relationship at best, with most believing they were broken up. Why is that the general consensus? Because of what the Aunt said? Because of the living arrangements? Because of PF saying they had a custody exchange? IMO, while I agree is a very valid possibility, I don’t see it being the most likely situation necessarily. There are plenty of families with alternative living arrangements & lifestyles. It is quite possible that that KB was happy living eternally “engaged” and having separate living arrangements. Maybe she loved him & the baby but still needed her alone time. While I don’t think this is as likely, I don’t think it can be dismissed.

I’m also confused by the assumption that CB was in the dark about KB’s life...regardless of what it is. Again, IMO, she strikes me as just being a private person who does not want KB’s privacy exposed.
First clue, the child doesn’t have his last name. (No judgement)

I would cry real tears!
I know it can be hard, but it does help so that we don't get too caught up in rumors. You can post something as an opinion if you read it elsewhere, but you can't post it as fact unless LE or MSM has put it out there. In the years I've been here I will say that most of the rumors that I've read on other sites have not panned out.

She would be exposed to many men in her field, with more ambition and interests in common with her. Jealousy could play a role here, imo. If she decided to move on that would be a huge threat to the dynamic they had and child care arrangements. IMO
I have thought the same thing. She was a beautiful young lady and most likely had many men intersted in her.

Actually I am not thinking of a dump. I don't even know if WP or Divide has its own dump as it might just be a transfer station so you put it there and it gets transferred to a regular dump. But I totally agree the needle in the haystack.
I do feel strongly that unless PF talks, which I seriously doubt he will, or if an accomplice talks the only other possible way of locating her is if one of the phones can give a clue as to her whereabouts. After that the only way I see her being located is somebody like a hiker, climber, backpacker or hunter stumbling upon her. Thinking logically I would think he would do what is most comfortable to him. He is obviously very comfortable around horses and riding them so my first guess would be he took a ride. He probably used a horse trailer to go less than 20 miles then took her out up to another 20 miles after that. Just speculation on my part as I think that would be the least risky and the most comfortable to him and very hard to locate a person doing that. The lazy way would be to just push the body of the side of a cliff on the road. Much of the road like CO 67, towards Cripple Creek has no shoulder so you can't stop in the road during the day as other cars would be coming and it is only a narrow 2 lane with no shoulder. But you could stop on the road at night long enough to do what you need to do then keep going. I am not talking about the places where there is a pullout on the side I am talking about the road when it is over 1000 feet straight down off the side of the road and there is no shoulder to pull over on. So if you stop there you are stopping in the actual lane of traffic. But I think he took a horse ride. MOO

I meant just shoving her in trash somewhere and she ends up at the dump.

But anything is possible. No clue. Going to places he's familiar with seems logical.

I wonder the same. With his work, the possibilities are endless. Imo

Same here.

I've been tempted on cases now and then to check out what is happening on social media, and it's easy to get caught up into thinking "something is happening!" When....most of the time....it's a big bunch of nothing and a whole lot of bad grammar.

I can't think of one time when it was worth my time to peak at SM discussions of cases.

I scurry back to WS, full of gratitude for our rules and awesome posts.

No. That doesn't mean she drinks. Not close. I get gum and the occasional lotto ticket at liquor stores. Sometimes a bottle of water or nuts if I don't want to deal with the supermarket.

I wouldn't go to a liquor store for actual liquor typically because it's too expensive.

If KB started having suspicions, this could very well prompt her to start looking for another job and a move. KB bought a house to provide her child a normal life with both parents, but if the father was frolicking around, this would be not something KB, or any other mom, would want her growing baby to see.
Or more likely it may have prompted her to file for sole custody of the child. If she really loved her job that much, I'm not sure she would have uprooted her life because he was promiscuous. By having sole, or primary custody, she would have had some control over the situation. If she suspected that he was bringing another woman around the child she could have denied him from seeing her. Imo

I don't see anything wrong if she chooses to have a nice glass of wine after the baby's tucked in bed. It's perfectly fine in my mind and doesn't change any thoughts I might have toward her.

I think she may have moved closer to her work at some point in the future. Her commute sounds exhausting.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Very, very often what they accuse the other person of is what they are guilty of themselves. I could definitely see PF having alcohol and/or drug issues. That could explain his lack of motivation in setting up a life. Many alcoholics are "functional alcoholics." They have such a high tolerance for alcohol that you cannot tell that they live their life drunk. When they do not have it, is when you can tell.
Never saw him at my PF the local taverns, not thunderbird or russes in divide. Know a lot of previous bar tenders since 15 and nobody knows him.

I agree-- I've thought this too.A LOT of steep roads on the wavy toCripple Creek. Those roads are narrow and scary and steep.
Beautiful day here today in CO as I washed my cars. Most of the week looks cold and some snow but if it warms up the end of the week like it is forecast to I will take my drones up there and just film a lot of this area so people can see what we are talking about. Then will post the pics and vids in my Microsoft cloud space for anybody to view if they want to. Like I said it will probably be the end of the week at the earliest.

Sometimes alcoholics don't frequent bars.
