Between security cams, trail cams, highway cams, there are SO many video cameras these days. It seems like there's a decent chance Kelsey or her fiancé's moves were captured on some of them. Just hoping the police figure out which ones to check. All it takes is 1 appearance and the trail grows warm...

What was purchased at the store and where is it? (We haven't received that info yet) At first the news said she dropped her daughter off with her fiance/child's father. Tonight's news said he picked the child up. Then he would have been the last person (we are to suppose) to see her alive if she brought the little girl to him after the store or even if he picked the child up from Kelsey -- must be one of the two since she is on video in the store with her little girl. Her vehicles are home. Her purse is not home. Where are the car keys? House keys? What time did he pick up the child or what time was the child dropped off? How do those times sync with cell phone activity and store video? What is her historic cell phone usage? Did the cellphone go quiet at a certain point?

I am wondering what she purchased, where it is, what the timestamp on the receipt is. If she purchased food for her little girl where is it? Did she send it with the dad? If she purchased food for herself where is it? Why would she purchase food if she intended to leave (without informing anyone except employer -- so that is unlikely IMO). How long did the fiance/father plan to keep the little girl? We do not know yet if it was to be a week, a day or whatever. Did the little girl have an overnight bag (because no matter what anyone says about shared custody a child that age has things that need to be with the child on a daily basis such as fav blankets and toys). Lots of information lacking.

Wonder why KB moved to Colorado and how she met the fiance... She had only been there 2 years or so.. And the baby is 15 months. Seems a short time to meet someone and have a baby unless they knew each other prior.. Doesn't seem that she had many friends in the area. She was far from family with a very young baby... Maybe it was a career motivated move?
Or he may have been working where she was living when they met.

Kinda weird that after so many days, that wasn't done.

If she was recently estranged from a person, maybe she changed her key code on the door. Keep them out of her home.

I'm not entirely sure Kelsey's mom talked to the fiance on Nov 25. I thought at first she did and then waited a week before calling LE, but after listening to the press conference once again, it sounds like she called the fiance on Dec 2 and the fiance told her he last received a text on Nov 25. And after hearing that, she called the police.

I wish someone would listen, starting at 2:11 on this video to see if that is how you hear the info too. I think everything got rolling on Dec 2 when Kelsey's mom starting looking into where her daughter was:

I hear what you are questioning. It does seem like she contacted PF on Dec 2nd and he verified that he last heard from her via text on the 25th.

If we only knew what these text exchanges said??

Could she have texted him on the 25th to let him know she'd be gone (perhaps longer than expected) because he would now have the baby longer? Is that why he didnt report anything? Because he was originally going to have the baby over Thanksgiving and it turned into something longer?

But that because she got in touch with him, he felt that was acceptable?

It makes sense that they would mostly communicate via text if their relationship was rocky (or over)

Was the front door locked?

That's what it says. Short of transcribing it, I don't know how to make it any plainer. MOO

You would think that someone willing to travel to Idaho to create a false ping would also be willing to move one of her cars and pack a suitcase so it looks like she left on her own.

True. But sometimes the smarter move is to do very little. The more actions one takes, the more likely one messes up and leaves their footprints behind.

We don't know that one of her cars wasn't moved back to her place at some point as a misdirect. I have seen that in a few cases (ZuZu Verk case for one). But it's hard to move a car and leave it somewhere without getting seen on camera and without leaving evidence you were in the car. And then there is the problem of having an infant to care for while you move cars. I wonder how many car seats they owned and if the car seat Kelsey is seen carrying into Safeway was left inside one of her cars or if it is now in the possession of the fiance. JMO.

Yes, good question, as to the bolded, ^^^above. When I saw her carrying her 15month old in the infant carrier it seemed odd to me. All I could think was that she was giving him the car seat when they met up to exchange the child. Otherwise it makes no sense to transport a 15 month old baby like that. Those carriers are heavy and bulky and only necessary for a tiny child that cant sit up well, etc.

I did transcribe it! :)

That last little detail was still confusing - thanks for being another set of ears. The mom didn't call fiance on Nov 25. She called him on Dec 2 and he told her about the text he received from Kelsey's phone on Nov 25.

Of course. Good point.

I thought the same thing. Are we sure the baby is actually 15 months?

If someone really wanted to make it look like she'd left on her own, he'd then put the packed suitcase in the car along with her purse and cell phone, park it in an airport parking lot, and take a taxi/bus/train home - and pay cash.
That's a very old method to confuse a missing person investigation. Whoever disappeared Kelsey may have a newer method. Having her cell phone ping in the state where her mom lives was profession level deception, but the FBI and Colorado Bureau of Investigation won't be fooled.

For example, if someone were to send texts to a missing person's employer.

I did listen but the Chief seems to focus on a timeline that starts with her mom's Dec. 2 Missing Person report.

Her mom would have had to speak to PF on November 25 to know that he had the baby. That would mean only KB was missing. If PF didn't have the baby, this case would have immediately escalated as the Watts case did with quick FBI involvement. JMO

Unless the baby fell asleep in the car and she didn't want to wake her. Easier to shop with a sleeping baby.
