Fiance of missing Kelsey Berreth voluntarily releases cell phone, DNA sample to law enforcement
The statement said that Frazee has cooperated and will continue to cooperate with police but will not give any media interviews, “as he does not want to impede law enforcement’s investigation.”

He has numerous relatives connected to law enforcement. His brother, Sean, works for the Colorado Springs Police Department. A cousin has worked for the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, and an uncle, Forrest Frazee, is the retired Kiowa County sheriff.

Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said at Monday’s press conference that police had not searched Frazee’s home but said it was a possibility. De Young said police have not identified any suspects but also do not believe there is reason to think the community is in danger.

and I am guessing the brother provided the referral to the defense attorney he visited... JMO

They would have been as hard as a rock and/or have mold on them after 10 days out in the open.
We will have to do a forensic study of the progression of staleness on cinnamon rolls.

Yes, I understand that it wasn't posted on the police department's Facebook page. Somehow I was aware of it though, because I had a reminder set. I just don't have time to find it as it would involve going back through the thread for the day before and/or reading through all the articles for that day. Sorry. MOO
(Again, I haven't read all the post) however, LE would have given loved ones a call, because they would have wanted everyone there. LE said the PF was "invited" but then said if you want to know why he didn't come then you have to ask him.

We may have to conduct an experiment, lol. Who here can make cinnamon rolls and leave them on their counter for a week to 10 days? :p

The short notice may have been strategic as well
I think so.

Perhaps to see the reaction.

And the reaction was....more silence (at least in public) and a trip to a lawyer.

Law enforcement may have wanted to create the scene and motivate the media to hound him and write and air stories implicating him and chose to make it difficult to get there in time and appear before the media with no preparation (in terms of information) unlike all of the other participants speaking to the media.
Wow!

Do we know what kind of attorney options are available in Woodland Park and Floirassant? Is it possible the attorney that made a statement for PF is one of the only options available to him? Or the only option avaliable at that time? Or could PF and this attorney already know each other personally or professionally and this particular attorney is helping him out?

jmo
Florissant has around 100 people, not enough to support an attorney.

This research scientist would eat the whole pan long before the 10 days were up. ;-)

In this case, the couple is not living together and the mother is now missing. The question I have is whether PF automatically has custody or does he have to petition the court? I have no idea if he's on the birth certificate. I find it unusual that the couple are engaged but the baby doesn't carry his last name.

In Illinois and Ohio, an unmarried mother has sole legal and residential custody until the father petitions the court. Jake Wagner had to petition the court for custody after the mother of his child was found murdered. And two years later, Jake is now in jail for the murder and some of the custody filings are alleged to be fraudulent. JMO

He is the Dad..I am going to guess she put him in the birth certificate so there is no one disputing he's the Father.

Once Mom is "gone" he is it. To get custody of that baby would very difficult for anyone else who is not a parent unless he is dangerous, etc.

If they did in fact break up right before she left, I doubt there is any sort of custody arrangement.

It's possible he was working and had a schedule of appointments that he couldn't re-schedule.

I could see him not attending press conf., but not reporting KB missing has raised my eyebrows. Something stinks about this case.

Back to sitting on my hands in the corner and waiting for more info to be released.
PF whole actions "portray" that he doesn't want to be involved.
This begs the question: "Why portray yourself that way?"

It doesn't help Kelsey. And in the long run it doesn't help the baby.

I wish the baby could talk! Tell us what’s really going on. Moo

It’s just not a good look.

At all.

Sounds like he might be getting advice from his relatives. I wouldn't be surprised if he's being told by them not to give interviews or statements. It's not uncommon to hear LE state how rumors and SM has interfered with investigations. If he is being fully cooperative with LE it's not really any help for him to give public statement and interviews.

I'll take Day 1 and report back. Someone else will have to take Days 2-10.

KB's phone pinging hundreds of miles away is throwing everyone off.
It was either intentional or a big mistake.

Seems possibly red herringish?

But if you didn't do anything... why not help every way possible?

Police said when they searched her two cars and residence they found cold, recently baked cinnamon rolls, according to ABC News.
MYSTERY TEXT: Search intensifies for missing mom
Even if she went willingly she had every intention of coming back and taking care of these.

The fb page that is stated in the Press Conf. to use has alot of information from the admin in answering questions in posts (at the very beginning). If they are not there now, Idk. But, I found them holding tidbits of information. Like the fact she owned her own home.

Mods: I hope this was ok to post.

It’s human nature to want to do everything in your power to bring a loved one home.

It’s not so much the fact that one may be able to help or not by making public statements, it’s what the lack of these statements means in regards to the bigger picture.

This isn’t normal.

At the very least, it’s bad optics.
