Yeah, I find the last part of your post especially odd.

You’d think that there would be a lot of people coming out of the woodwork to plead for her safe return. Local friends, coworkers and acquaintances. Something.

It’s been pretty quiet. Perhaps she was a private person. It explains why there wasn’t a great deal of concern early on.

She has friends and a cousin on FB begging for her return. If you look at some of her FB photos and click on people in the photos, you'll see this. Her facebook page hasn't been posted on for years, so I can't check coworkers.

Yet, Mollie's boyfriend showed up a the press conferences. He stood with her family, despite scrutiny on him. Of course, he knew he was innocent.

I cannot believe I forgot her name. But this reminds me of the lovely hairdresser, who dropped her young twins off to her abusive ex. ....she was never to be seen again....And her family tried to get custody for years and never were allowed to even see the children after that.

Michelle (Shelly) Parker has been missing since November 17, 2011. She dropped off her twins with their father, who she is not married to and no one has seen her since.
She last had contact with her brother on November 17, around 4:30pm. It was a text she was in Waterford. A search is underway. Her cellphone powered off at 8:08pm 11/17.

I bring up this case because it is somewhat similar. The ex stops by to drop off the children, and 'vanishes' after sending a few texts to family. Never to be seen or heard from afterwards, and the ex husband would not fully cooperate or allow her family to see the children, ever again.

The media keeps asking that question and so far, no answer. My guess is that PF erased it which is what Mollie Tibbetts' boyfriend did and it immediately made everyone suspicious. JMO

speaking of MT boyfriend he didn't erase it. It was on snapchat, they erased immediately at the time. (now it has been changed to 24 hours then they are erased)

Yeah that is how I'm reading it too. 10 days before her mother checks on her does not seem like they had a close relationship where they talked everyday. Perhaps Kelsey only talked to her mom once or twice a week? Some families are not as close as others. Or if someone has a job where they work a lot of long hours (like a flight instructor may) they might only call on their days off. JMO.

My daughter and I are quite close, but I would not be alarmed if I did not hear from her for a week. Any longer than that I would try to ring her and then ring her neighbour or one of her friends to check on her before I rang LE.

Yeah. The scrutiny there was especially unfair, especially considering the fact that LE had publicly cleared him.

He didn’t care though, he just wanted his girlfriend home.

No, you aren't alone with that. The moment boyfriend & brothers were cleared by LE, speculation was prohibited on WS. I don't see that happening in this case. The Chief's terse, "you'll have to ask him" in response to a reporter's question is an indication that LE has asked and aren't satisfied with answers. JMO

I kinda wondered about that being the purpose of the press conference too. After all, the press conference was yet another week after she was first reported missing. Everything is slow motion....or no motion at all.

I finally watched the press release....one thing I found interesting which I haven’t seen be brought up here yet is, the Chief mentioned the daughter, K, has the last name Berreth, not the fathers last name.

Don't believe everything that might be reported in a hastily-called press conference. Little details like that might be wrong.

Something is off here, wouldn't you be with family members or friends on Thanksgiving? (Unless you were me, and worked for the double pay).

I did tell my boyfriend that if I don't show up for 10 days, he better call the police! Wouldn't someone have noticed her missing? Especially on a holiday? Wonder why she was not spending it with her BF?
