Or him being out could have put the baby, the witnesses, the solicited, in danger. Or he could have been a danger to himself and potentially committed suicide. I think they got in front of all of the above.

An arrest could not be made until such time the DA agreed the evidence substantiated an arrest. IMO
He was under 24/7 surveillance (IMO), so he wasn’t going far.

Would it make sense to take her body out at night then? I'm under the assumption there's other neighbors...

Placing Kelsey in a suitcase, bag etc, and moving to the red truck, would not be that evident.
The red truck was parked side on, behind the other 2 cars.
A person could carry suitcase from the home, between the two cars, into the red truck and not be easily seen.
MOO.

I don't think they took their time. I think they were anxious to arrest him and did so as soon as they had the evidence. Imo
I was quite surprised that they arrested him so quickly and without first having found KB.

I’m curious if his ten day head start would have hindered the ability of cadaver dogs to pick up her scent there.

In the Watts case, at least one if not all of his victims were probably gone for over half an hour before he moved them out of the house. The dogs were there the next day and IIRC, one had hit on his car but the other didn’t. Were the dogs able to sniff inside his truck or just around it? Because he definitely had bodies in it for over an hour the day before when he was transporting them. I don’t think they hit at all in the house.
I do think if they have evidence to think she was killed in her townhome and are doing consumptive DNA testing, maybe indicating blood or tissue evidence, that would be enough for a dog to alert. IDK I'm not positive.

That's a good point. I keep forgetting he'd been planning this for months, so he may have had an area all ready for her.
Not to mention, he had 10 days to do what he did before anyone even began looking for KB.
What drove him to solicit her murder from so many people? He does seem to be very stupid or perhaps arrogant for not thinking any of those people would report his solicitation.
It does sound like he was desperate to have her murdered - but what would have induced that kind of desperation? A new gf who didn’t want to deal with his baby mama?
I’m wondering how long those townhomes stay on the market? If they sell quickly - and she was threatening a move - that might have made him feel desperate?
Could KB have been pregnant again? Second time mothers are not always as quick to rush to the doctor - especially if they are still not married after the first child - and having issues with father. If she told him in Sept - he started planning - and finally became desperate enough after she entered her 2nd trimester?
You would think with all the news about CW killing his pregnant wife and children in the news - that no man in Colorado would even consider doing the same thing. His actions scream desperation - but WHY? MOO.

It strikes me as odd that KB’s family has not released any videos of her that would give us insight into her personality. IMO it is good to “humanize” the victim (if that makes sense). Remembering Laci P. and the videos they put out of her smile and personality....
I think they lived pretty far away. They may not have many videos other then when she was a child or it could be that they just want to stay behind the scenes and stay away from the media. Imo

I’m behind.....has it been reported he solicited “many people”? Tia
I am not sure if he asked one X 3 or three X 1.

<snipped by me>

More like 2 days before he was arrested, is when he told people he'd broken up with Kelsey almost a year prior.

Sorry, I've been away and am trying to catch up. I either missed or forgot this: PF told people he'd broken up with Kelsey almost a year prior?? And this was 2 days before he was arrested? This has got to be the weirdest case I have ever followed.

@MassGuy cadaver dogs would have hit if her body had been there longer than a half hour or so. Did they not bring dogs in during either searches?
Cadaver dogs would have been standard practice.

Maybe they hit, maybe they didn’t, we just don’t know.

They’re not foolproof, and time and extensive cleaning can hamper their efforts.

I wouldn’t be surprised either way, in regards to if they hit or not.

If I understood the video correctly, there were 3 solicitation charges and that does not necessarily mean 3 different people. MOO

They haven’t said. He could have solicited more than one person or one person three times.

Yup. One person three times, would suffice.

I have wondered about this scenario as well. But if he was after insurance proceeds, then I would think he would WANT the body to be found and have tried to make it look like an accident or something. If she is just missing, an insurance company would be pretty suspicious.
I’m wondering IF that isn’t why he sent or had someone send that text to her work??? Not showing up could have terminated employment and possibly her life insurance policy. I really think that might have been the stupidest thing he did - and it’s why I thought he did it when I heard about that text to her employer - strangers who kill don’t text your boss
That text to employer didn’t buy him time - did it? Would her employer have reported her missing if she didn’t show up to work or called her parents?

It was reported here that she was a flight instructor in Washington. I haven't found a direct quote by the uncle, though. BBM

Fiancé of Missing Colorado Mom Kelsey Berreth Arrested on Murder Charge
"Berreth moved to Colorado in 2016 to be close to Frazee, her uncle told KOAA. Before moving, Berreth was a flight instructor in Washington state, where she grew up. It’s unclear how she met Frazee. “She’s a pilot. She knows a lot of people,” the uncle, Ed Stanfill, said. Stanfill added that Berreth didn’t move in with Frazee because he lives with his mother."

Thank you PommyMommy. Perhaps that is why I thought she has been a flight instructor longer than 2 years. :)

I think that it did buy him time, and her employer would have eventually asked for a welfare check to be performed, or reached out to her mom.

But yeah, strangers don’t do something like that, only people close to the victim do.

I wasn't sure what type of duties Kelsey might perform on a daily basis. Here is a recap of the job description for CFI:
  • Conducting training (ground and flight duties) in accordance with the applicable USAF Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Syllabus and FAA training requirements.
  • Providing ground instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures and other flight related subjects.
  • Training and screening pilot, combat system officer, remotely piloted aircraft pilot and international military student pilot candidates.
  • Conducting preflight/post flight-debriefings and providing in-flight instruction to ensure students have a thorough understanding and comprehension of the training materials.
  • Executing military-style flight training instruction, which consists of basic flight tasks and maneuvers including steep turns, slow flight, stalls, area emergency procedures, ground reference maneuvers, normal patterns, emergency patterns, clock-to-map-to-ground navigation, pilotage and dead reckoning.
  • Completing electronic gradebook entries to insure syllabus requirements are met.
Impressive! She really was a woman with a plan and a bright future IMO, too bad she ran across this 'thing'. I just can't call PF a man!

Yes. She has a very serious job with compliance with many required standards and protocols.

It’s something of a stretch for me to put this kind of person with the person that we see as PF.

i tend to think that depending on if PF has an iphone or android that either apple or google has a location history for his phone. i know google can map out your travels quite nicely for an android and expect possibly apple can for the iphone also. not sure how LE goes about getting the info. same thing goes with KB phone. some entity or entities should be able to show pretty much the exact path the phone took over the timeframe in question. and any calls made outgoing or incoming would be logged also. not to mention any browsing or other app communications that there would be records of. PF does not present as a person who would have the know how to avoid leaving a ton of electronic breadcrumbs marking his activities. although, maybe he does.

According to a friend of his whose granddaughter had play dates with K. I’m not sure how to post links, but this is from the CNN article:

“Two friends said Frazee told them that the relationship with Berreth ended months ago -- claims that contradict statements from Berreth's aunt, who wrote on Facebook that Berreth broke up with Frazee the same day she went missing.

"I still refuse to believe that he's done this until I see the evidence," said Tamra Freeman, whose granddaughter played with Frazee's daughter.

Freeman said that Frazee told her the relationship with Berreth ended on New Year's Day 2018, and the only contact they had was related to their daughter. Berreth's mother has not responded to CNN's requests for comment.

Frazee was at Freeman's home two days before his arrest, she said. She recalls him being concerned about what would happen to Kaylee if he was arrested, she said. Freeman said Frazee told her he felt "railroaded" by police, who he claimed seemed to be focused only on him.”

Edited for formatting, still not sure how to insert links properly but hopefully that works?

I don’t think anyone actually knows what was going on. Despite him living with his mom, I don’t think he actually discussed his comings & goings with her (doubt he spent much time inside), his personal life or anything else. With the distance between K & her family, they knew what she wanted them to know & nothing more. Kids grow up, do their own things. IMO
