Not a lawyer, but agree that it’s bordering on violating his rights. He’s still innocent in terms of the law right now. He needs access to the arrest affidavit, in its entirety, to know why, specifically, he’s being held and charged. Imagine if you were accused of murder right now, and were actually totally innocent. You ask for the details as to why, and are told you aren’t allowed to know all of the details? That’s not right.
