We don't really know that, do we?

I recall CB said she called her for a recipe. And it doesnt sound like it was for cinnamon rolls.

I'll bet KB mentioned some T-Day and holiday plans to her mother. As PF was picking up the baby, was there something else KB was going to do?

From her info I see that she is very physically active: biking, hiking, running, kayaking. If she did not have Baby K that weekend by "pre-arrangement" with PF, was there something else she was going to do that would put her out of contact with her family for the 4 -day holiday?

Did anyone text or call? Idk
Thinking of the 10 day head start her murderer had.

Does PF have a history of DUIs? Tysm
Also, your quote is in reference to a Maryland officer or does it apply in CO?

I didn't see any police records of DUI's for PF

99% sure it was on a live broadcast that has since been recorded over.
Yeah, it was on the KRDO livestream earlier today. Unfortunately they haven’t posted the segment to their website so far.

But do we know if he really was supposed to have the baby that weekend? He's the one who said he last saw KB when he went to pick up Baby K, but it could be KB had never agreed to handing her over that day or for the holiday weekend.

If family or friends were calling or texting...and she was not replying...I can’t imagine why she was not reported missing until 12/2. That still astonishes me. No matter what PF may or may not have told them, what could it have been that no one felt it extremely amiss to not be able to get a reply from Kelsey for up to 11 days?

I live alone and keep to myself...and still, at least four people would call for a welfare check after two days of no response, at most. And Kelsey has a baby. I just don’t understand.

Ditto. The pink handcuff link is for the state of Maryland.

Sad horr
I agree, in another love triangle case, the husband woke the wife up by stabbing her in the check and did multiple small wounds just because, before he slit her throat. Rage and hate filling their heads, not logical thinking about the best way to do it with as little noise and issues as possible.
So horrific... Rage is a scary thing. The horror to awaken to that and know someone you love is going to end your life.

Same here. I guess MAYBE she didn’t socialize a lot. Everyone is dif’. All I can think. I’m not a big phone lover but after a few days someone would wonder. Especially if they drove by and noticed my cars. I wonder if any of her neighbors are in her age range with kids & maybe they walked together from time to time or if K stayed in. Maybe she didn’t socialize with anyone in her immediate area.

AoA, you think the dump run precipitated the second search? I don’t. I think a more thorough search was in the works based on info from a witness. Jmo
Based off LE getting informed he was at the dump, then going and checking it out, and after that they went to KB'S place then determined that she was no longer living.

Maybe she was not as close to her family/mother as we think (for whatever reasons) and it was normal to go a week or so without communication. moo

No, there’s no way we will ever know, IMO. Other than he evidently knew he would have the baby as her mom would be murdered.
Another thought~if he was eager to have KB gone, it had to be done soon or a dif’ Plan. Once snow fell, that would have been a big issue, imo? Thinking tracks, tracks & more tracks.

And this would go along with the time planning that the texts to DOSS and PF gave him an extra week or so to clean up/ get organized / prepare alibis before CB got alarmed and KB was determined to be missing.

Remember KK was essential in this, by taking that phone to Gooding, ID

The one thing that PF couldn't anticipate or control is when KB would be reported missing. IMO, he had to assume that she could be reported missing at any time...so there would be some urgency to getting the clean-up completed and the phone on its way to ID.
IMO, the cleanup commenced immediately and with a pair of *nameless* helping hands to help expedite the process. JMO.

ETA: Sorry, did I actually just say, "The one thing PF couldn't anticipate..."

BBM. Yes, there's that.

You're right. He doesn't appear to be very bright.

He could have easily made it appear she was abducted by a sexual predator. He could have lured her out to a rural area with no security cameras by using a burner phone and asking her to pick him up because he had a flat tire. Once she was at the location, he could have strangled her, threw her body into his truck, punctured her car tire to make it appear she had a flat, and then driven off.

Geez....I've spent way too much time on Websleuths.

Ha! I hope I never piss you off!!

Do we have a definitive date for when Kelsey’s brother made the trip to check out her house? I remember thinking at the time, it wasn’t specified.

She could’ve been told they would recommend lesser charges to the DA. They can never guarantee anything and we’re the ones who file the formal ones. It does seem to have been taking some time though, if she’s been talking since before Christmas. Hopefully we’ll know more soon but I’m not holding my breath either.

Because the phone was potentially taken across state lines, would this mean federal charges? And if so, would this change how soon charges would be announced publicly?

I believe she purchased her condo in June? That was 3 months before the alleged Sept - Nov documented murder plannings. I have to wonder if the condo purchase (and all that that meant) was a trigger for him.
It was purchased and closed in May.
