So weird that her vehicles were home & not one neighbor found it odd to not see her or her cars moved, in ten days. I would notice if my neighbor didn’t move his cars. If I didn’t see him for a few days, I would knock on his door.

Tons of people come to CO for Thanksgiving holiday to ski or participate in other winter sports — often families w/members in multiple states meet here. Even if KK didn’t have family that lived here she may have been meeting them in CO, or friends. Then swung by to visit her local “friend” on the way home. If that’s the case her involvement may indeed be limited to phone disposal.

If she was planning to come visit PF for the whole holiday it changes things. It ups the odds PF planned for KB to be eliminated before Thanksgiving. If KK wasn’t a pre-planned accomplice seems like it would have been better for him to get rid of KB before she arrived. I think KK’s Thanksgiving plans/schedule could tell us a lot about the crime in general and her degree of involvement. Surely LE has that information by now.

I’m thinking if they have KK at Sonic, they have her in many other places.

The only thing that makes me question being beaten to death is the fact that there was the possibility of her screaming or loud noises as furniture was turned over or her body hit against walls.

Of course, he could have hit her from behind with an object the immediately knocked her out, and then beaten her to death while she was unconscious. I certainly think he would have gotten joy out of inflicting as much pain as possible and would have prefered this over strangulation.

The only problem I have with that theory, NanZ, is if you have the opportunity to do the kill yourself, you are full of rage. And wouldn't you want to hear every bit of hurt you were dishing out? I think PF was a cruel, cruel soul. And in his thinking, knocking her out, rendering her unconscious would quiet the very person he wanted so badly to hurt. Again, I don't know...purely speculation.
Geez Louise, this crime is psychological. Makes my head want to explode....which is NOT IMHO!

I posted that KK was NOT at Sonic on Thanksgiving (Nov 22nd).

The news station reporter and video showed that she was at Sonic on Nov 24th.

The cars. It’s like they just couldn’t find a way to deal with that one and so thought. ‘Oh well, hopefully people will think she was so distraught that she wasn’t in her right mind and started walking to Idaho.’

I wouldn’t, personally, notice if my neighbours’ cars weren’t moved for a month. Maybe it’s because in the South of England we try to avoid our neighbours, whereas in the US you guys are a little more sociable!

Sure wish we knew what it was that made them go back the second time.

Been following this case but haven’t posted before so hope I’m following the rules. And trying to learn the acronyms!

I believe LE went back to KB’s place 2nd time with clear purpose. It was right after PF dropped “stuff” at the dump. Possibly LE retrieved PF’s tools and/or paint cans from the dump, which helped connect important dots. PF doesn’t strike me as thoughtful person who can connect the dots, thus he would try and get rid of tools or other items that contain KB’s DNA.

Don’t want to think this, but it is possible any tools LE retrieved from the dump were used by PF for “cleaning up” and to cut body parts. These tools would then have DNA on them and would possibly suggest to LE where to look inside KB’s townhouse.
Of course this is MOO.

Nurses wear scrubs. A lot of them also wear Crocs.

Easy to wash off.

ETA: KK is a pre-op nurse per the DM, so PF knows she doesn't faint at the sight of blood.

I agree, in another love triangle case, the husband woke the wife up by stabbing her in the check and did multiple small wounds just because, before he slit her throat. Rage and hate filling their heads, not logical thinking about the best way to do it with as little noise and issues as possible.

I'm not suspicious about PF's dump run. After his property being searched, there was probably a lot of junk disturbed so rather than pile it back, he took that opportunity to dispose of it.

Unless some stuff was hidden somewhere away from the obvious property, then dumped to try make it look like it's just a normal dump run. They had to hide evidence somewhere. Then desperately try to get rid of it before they came sniffing around wherever it was hidden.
Something was in there that led them back to KB'S.
I have a feeling more arrest are coming.
