Here’s my 2 cents. Cause I know y’all wanna know my 2 cents.

The R’s kept this information to themselves in October 2018. IMO should NOT be giving an interview now. Nope.

What if the R's notifying FBI after seeing Kelsey's mom on TV is what actually alerted them to KK? They were there investigating the phone ping we know, but did they even know at that time that KK even existed? It may have been that call that will ultimately put PF (and possibly KK) away forever.

They can speak out of someone tells an attorney abcrike is about to be committed. But it has to specific.

So if I understand correctly they could only do that prior to the crime if they were hired. And after the crime, they would not be able to go on television and say all this is that correct.

"Woodland Park Police Department said the $25,000 reward is for information that leads to the location or safe return of Berreth."

I don't understand. How would the R's be eligible for the reward? Do posters think the R's know where Kelsey's body is?
No way they know.

I question their reasoning for the interview as well. It’ll be interesting to hear the entirety of it to try and figure out what their motive was/is.

They stated the BFF has been being harassed.....I wonder if they are representing her for some reason and trying to redirect the narritive as it involves the BFF, or maybe they want to try and clear her name. Maybe they also wanted some recognition or are being harassed themselves. Something seems off to me. MOO

I just tried to do a multi quote and it failed. I don't think they were hired as they would not be speaking after the fact,if they were her attorney , like they are.

I just watched again CB's interview and noticed an edit at the 5:40 mark when she is discussing KB and PF's relationship. Wonder what they were discussing about the relationship that lead to that edit. My heart goes out to CB. You can tell in the interview that she is trying so hard to be strong.
On another thought . . . I don't understand why the IN and the BFF didn't RUN IMMEDIATELY to KB and have a sit down talk woman to woman and let her know what PF was plotting??? MOO . . .

This is horrible. I wish the best/strength to her /family because the process might take a while. And I also wish CB and her husband are awarded permanent custody of baby K. It is only fair.

What can LE do? The “boyfriend” in your situation would lie & deny, if the police did question him, imo.
He can lie all he wants, but being questioned by LE would be a huge deterrence in carrying out the murder. If you already know you are being suspected, you are less likely to follow through. It would also have given Kelsey notice to be more aware of the situation.

It doesnt matter. Missing the point that even if LE just questioned either KK or PF then it likely would have scared them enough to not murder KB.

Yes, but it would also give him the heads up. IF I do something now, they'll be coming to my door :)

No way they know.

Exactly! The reward is a moot point in regards to the R's. Let's leave baseless speculation to the snake pit.

Does the BFF know PF?

If KK and BFF are best friends, would they both be associated with the rodeo world?

If there has been a long-standing “friendship” of KK and PF and KK refers to PF as her boyfriend to BFF, wouldn’t BFF have known who he was, and that is why she would be “visibly upset” when talking to employers?

Because she KNOWS PF and knows he is a real person, not just some random unknown KK has been seeing? BFF knows the story of KB, and probably knows he is capable of this?

AND, if so, do employers then know that BFF knows PF?

Hindsight is 20/20. But, in theory, they could have contacted Twin Falls Police and told them the name of their employee and what she told them. In turn, Twin Falls police could talk to the employee and she could tell them the name (KK) and then they could talk to KK asking her who Patrick is, who the mother of his child is. After that, if police thought there was something to look into they could have contacted Teller County Sheriff's office and/or Woodland Park, police. So, it isn't as if they had to learn who Patrick was to do something.

But like I said, hindsight is 20/20.

Exactly. I get they didn't have details of names, etc. I assume they are telling the truth here. But they were interested/concerned enough to pass on a message to KK, through their employee. But you at least give LE the information you were provided, as a concerned citizen. Then let them decide how to proceed. The ball would have been in LE court.

I can't sit here and say it would have absolutely saved KB life, but maybe it would have. I personally don't know LE to be incompetent as a whole. Maybe they would have had an upset employee who felt betrayed, oh well at the end of the day.

It appears to me the couple just assumed what LE would or would not do. They are not responsible for KB's death but I'm still so disappointed. KB deserved to have someone looking out for her, as she seemed to be completely unaware that her murder was being planned.

And what a surprise it *might have* been to KK and the BFF when on the news it was announced that she was Patrick's fiance.

Shades of Christopher Watts girlfriend learning that he was still with his wife through media reports?

Yeah...no.

Based on what I've read here, in the news, and on FB...they both knew, and they knew others knew. As did NK.

The employer had KK’s name as well as Patrick’s?
TIA
Yes. Their employee, who informed the R's of the solicitation, was friends with KK.

LE would have informed Kelsey...let her be aware of what they heard. Even if they had no details...jmo

This is part of what confounds me. At what point does a "visibly upset" employee who claims knowledge of an upcoming murder, not become a situation to report? There should be no guessing going on, just report what you've heard, it does no real harm, and it may save someone's life.

At the very least, they should have (maybe they did and we don't know it yet?) asked for P's last name, the potential victims name...and if they couldn't get that out of their employee, then go to local LE with what you they did have IMMEDIATELY.

Depends on how often the employee is "visibly upset".

Imagine. The employee tends to run late/not show up and tells dramatic stories to explain her performance. After a while, she might be viewed as "the boy who cried wolf". Then one day she comes in late and tells this story. All the employers say is, "OK, have her come to us". Then after a while, the employee says, "she said, forget it". What would the employer think? "Oh, surely..."

This is one possible scenario. Maybe the BFF is the epitome of punctuality and not dramatic at all.

MOO

So the reward info came out the 15th and they went to FBI on the 17th.
There's a $25,000 reward only for information leading to the whereabouts of Kelsey Berreth.

I’m guessing many of us have dealt (professionally) with threats, I have. Those of us reporting threats to LE know how “seriously” they DON’T take things. IMO, particularly things they deem to be nothing more than personality disputes. MOO
