It was Shannon Brinias on KRDO KRDO.com | Colorado Springs and Pueblo breaking news, weather, traffic and sports | KRDO NewsChannel 13 | Colorado news - KRDO

During the segment on Sonic, she also said KK was the nurse in Canon City. The whole thing was bungled.

A few days before the Sonic news, she posted a teaser on twitter that cause a lot of confusion.

What is going on with the news reports of late? Especially the local ones. You would think they would get their act together.

Why would they want the reward if it’s their money?
Hey, any publicity is good publicity, imo
I haven't seen it stated anywhere they would get reward money.
It's just a hunch anyway. I think they feel genuinely bad about not checking things out further from the start, and they want to help anyway they can now,and posting a reward certainly could help things along.
I could be wrong.

It sure seems like there's a hidden agenda - the big question is whether this the agenda of people who could have prevented this, or someone else.

If it's some sort of absolution agenda on behalf of those who should have had the courage to make a difference, it should stop. They should be silenced.

I can understand that they are not bound by a confidentiality agreement in relation to the trial. The woman who was asked to help with the murder is the witness, not the friend's employer. This couple should step away from the microphone and let justice take its' course.
I’m hoping this whole interview was done with LE to serve a purpose otherwise I feel it’s pretty despicable of them trying to gain fame and attention for something that may have been prevented IMO

Excuse me if this question was already asked. I’ve seen different variations of commenting on this but not a legal answer., If KK is the one that was solicited to help with the murderer, one of the charges PF was charged with… Why no arrest of her?

What is the reward for? It can't be for finding her alive. Is it for finding her body?

Why would the employer of a woman who lacks common sense put up a large reward?

I think it must serve a purpose. I can’t imagine anyone wanting THIS kind of attention. A lot of folks are awfully angry.

I do wonder if KK was just as duplicitous as we think PF was and started creating a false narrative before the murder. If she did, it might be why the story of KK being terrified for her life is coming out, but doesn't feel like it rings true. MOO
I don't think so. KK is not that smart. Remember that she used her credit card in Woodland Park sometime on the weekend of the murder allowing police to verify that she was in Woodland Park. She also (very likely) took Kelsey's stolen phone to within 30 minutes of her house and then turned it on to ping.

Being solicited isn’t a crime. Solicitation is.

The question now, is what specifically did she do to help him?

It's either an attorney/client relationship or it's not. An employee can be in that relationship without formally hiring or paying the person.

Regardless, it either is or isn't.

You're talking about two totally separate things. One you just brought up is whether they have a privileged relationship (doctor/patient, pastor/penitent, attorney/client) at all. If they didn't and do not they can talk about whatever they want at any time. But if they had such a relationship, they could not tell anything confidential at any time, UNLESS:
1. They had specific information about a crime, AND;
2. This information was about a crime that was going to be committed in the future, AND;
3. The crime would likely result in death or great bodily injury.

That is the only way they can break the privilege and reveal confidential information.

The other thing that you previously brought up is whether they would be breaking the law by failing to reveal information related to a crime they now realize has occurred, but at the time they heard it, it was only speculation. The answer is no. In fact, they would be breaking their ethical duties to the client as could get in trouble with the state bar, for revealing such information.

Just knowing about a crime and keeping silent is never criminal unless it's abuse and you're a mandatory reporter, or you assist the perp in getting rid of evidence, or creating an alibi, that kind of thing.

So it sounds like you are saying, in either instance (attorney/client, or not) that it should have been reported. It was about a crime (solicitation for murder), it was about a potential future crime, and one that would result in death. So attorney/client privilege wouldn’t be there to stop them from reporting it. And, as a/any responsible citizen, it should have been reported, even if the employee wasn’t a client....

I'll go out on a limb and ask what did she do to be with him? imo

Specific info is required, is my read on G’s post.

Of course, Silly question really. Should’ve thought about that before I typed it.

I mean...”Patrick asked my best friend and wanted my best friend to kill his baby’s mother” with enough emotion to be visibly upset is good enough for me, IMO. I don’t think most criminals will give a time and place in their details. I actually think these people all had more information than most would otherwise have.

I'm sure that investigators and the prosecutor are listening very carefully with an eye to charging this couple with some sort of related offense. Indeed, it may not be possible, but the information they share will benefit the prosecution's position regarding premeditated murder.

However, that information could have waited until trial, and there is no good reason for this information to be shared today unless this couple has been exposed and they want to defend their decision to do nothing.

She or anyone can be arrested at any moment.

If their employee was questioned by police, she may have brought their names up.....maybe?

I think I just keep assuming that we know for a fact she had the phone, that she disposed of the phone, and with that would come an arrest. But how much do we know really? Seems the only thing her involvement has done so far is affected him, with a charge of solicitation. In theory, maybe, allegedly.

I’m wondering if the October timeframe mentioned by the R’s also matches up with CB visiting KB and baby K? I’m thinking I read there was a visit and the beautiful picture of the 3 of them was taken??
