Not totally impossible...but the phone stuff in ID throws me off in this kind of scenario.
Maybe the phone stuff was HER idea.
Her offer to come down there an remove some of the evidence, create a diversionary trail of phone messages.

They no doubt know their employee well and beleive what she has told them. I think they did the interview for the right reasons, although we all wish they had come forward sooner. But why are they doing these interviews? Money (are they being paid?), sway public opinion on the players?, get ahead of something nasty to come out? It really makes no sense to me that they would be speaking this way and it seems to me, to make KK and BFF appear naive and innocent - JMO.
This is the new reports from part 2: This would be from best friend reports to employers.
"KL was so scared, he was so angry that he said things that made KL think he had killed before. So of course, she's going to be terrified," JL said.
Asked what they heard PF's motive, PR said, "That he felt that KB was going to harm the child, that she was crazy."
Potential threat to KL's daughter:
"PF told KL that little girls go missing off the playground all the time," PR said.

You are probably right- book deal for friend brokered by lawyer employer.
But could KK"s attorney stop it? And maybe they thought it would generate sympathy or an understanding. Wrongo!
Makes for a good defense argument for PF, but if he wasn't involved he would have been very concerned for where KB was and been talking to LE, media etc. I could go on and on..
I completely agree...I try to initially give people the benefit of the doubt. But this with the Rs is just odd. They’re giving out third-hand information that they can’t possibly verify. Assigning a state of mind to someone they’ve never even met.
This is not how lawyers normally act.

If she wanted Thanksgiving off(KK) this might be the best time to put her request for it in at work. And what is it about September that starts this whole ball rolling?
LE is confident enough to charge HIM with the 3 X solicitation charges starting Sept 1.
What was happening then?
Aren't they "personal injury" lawyers = Ambulance chasers.
They're in this for the $$$ for media / publishing rights to at least BFF's story if they do not also have some hidden contract with KK
And CB can go after the whole of them in a wrongful death lawsuit, preventing them from profiting from KB's murder. That would be a civil trial, which doesn't have the same degree of certainty needed in a criminal proceeding.
I thought they were "wrongful death" attorneys, either way, UNETHICAL! imho
I am more convinced that these individuals should NOT be speaking out. This information appears strongly to benefit KL and I understand that but it really should be for the court. These two would understand the significance of their current public statements being used in court.
No prob. I’m only trying to think outside the box.
IMO, things are not adding up.
I’m not saying PF is innocent, either. I think there’s a whole lot more going on.
Like OLD/obsessive love disorder.
If you look at their website, criminal law is a little blurb at the end of the menu. Probably added on recently. Haha.I thought they were "wrongful death" attorneys, either way, UNETHICAL! imho
I am guessing that's why she may have seen through him, long-distance it's difficult to really "know" someone (IMO that's why a lot of narcs do the on-line dating thing). I bet once she got there and had the opportunity to see the real deal in action, she may have begun to pull away, and/or call him out on some stuff. If he is, in fact, a narc, that narc rage may be why she's gone. :-(
Narcs ALWAYS feed people what they want them to hear. The lies are truly astounding, and it's even more astounding that most of them believe their own lies to the point of being truly surprised when they are caught. They lie, and expect others to believe them, even when those lies are unbelievable. Some of the good ones can pass polygraph tests with no problem, because to them, they are not lying.
Many will go to counseling w/an SO and completely pull the wool over the counselor/therapist. It takes a specifically trained individual to fully smoke them out and understand what is happening.
These people are downright scary.
