My question is where are they getting their information to tell KK’s story? And by telling her story are they indirectly giving a backstory for their employee?
JMO and my imagination at work. :/

IMO they shouldn't be telling anyone's story.

Wouldn't they have had to call the cornoner or ME if they had found parts of human remains? I'm pretty sure the media was watching 24/7 while they were searching his place and we would've heard if they had called for a coroner.
I do think they would call the coroner if there was a intact body. Sadly I meant body parts or remains sent for analysis to confirm what they were.

Mine does that too- but only if you open the app- mail or text
But that’s incoming, not outgoing. So yes,you do have to hit resend. Iphone7

I have an iPhone 7. I also have to resend. Seems like texts sent from Idaho were planned.
Hmmm, now I'm questioning myself, so I just tried to do it (type, but not send, a text) on my iPhone SE, turn it off, turn it on again, and not only did it not seem to send the "typed but unsent" text, but the typed text was now completely gone. I wonder if this is a function of the iOS version rather than the iPhone type? (Should I go back and delete my earlier post?)

i agree LE got their guy but if other people are wondering if maybe someone else played a more leading role surely they can speculate without being made fun of- re sending love letters.

That is not funny if you are on the receiving end of it.

But do what you will.
Aw Jasper, it was a joke. A light hearted statement. No one made fun of anyone. No harm intended I’m sure. A lot worse has been posted here. It’s late. Maybe we all need some sleep.

Been thinking of a possible scenario of why the text messages may have been sent from Idaho near someone's home and maybe they didnt want that to happen.

Is it possible a person driving the car from Colorado meant to send the text from Colorado while out in the mountains and maybe there was no cell tower service available and so maybe the SMS text messages were bounced back or put in "standby" mode or something and then when the person got in range of their local tower near the house then maybe the text message finally went through.

Is it possible that something like this happened and the person tried to send it sooner while in Colorado? Or would a bounced back text not try to resend itself?

I guess I am wondering if it didnt go through would the phone keep trying to resend the same text periodically until it finally found a tower and went through?

Thinking something like this could explain that the person never wanted the text to be using a tower in their home town.

I too am pondering whether the ping and/or texts were entirely intentional, at least not the specific time/place of sending.

There is another case on WS now, about a Canadian hiker lost in the north coast mountains of California. And I'm pretty sure I read that he sent a text asking for help on Monday, but it wasn't received until late Wednesday. We don't know if he was able to hit 'resend' or if it happened automatically, nor what kind of phone he had. But it sounds like it may be possible.

And IMO, giving a backstory for themselves, and trying to justify why they waited so very, very long to contact LE. (Until LE was actually at KKL's house...)

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, I do NOT need to hit resend. My phone asks me if I want it to resend when available and I click yes, so it does.

Do we know what kind of phone Kelsey had?

I am falling asleep, by the way, I'm not so sure I will see tonight's grand finale... And given my profession, I won't be able to check in until tomorrow evening (sad face).

Oh wow. So different phones maybe do that and so maybe it is possible it was just a bad mistake that the Idaho tower was used. The person maybe never intended to have their own Idaho tower being used.

Very interesting. Thanks everyone for helping with the question I had about this.

The major problem is this is Kelsey's story. So all these other players can go to you know where.
MOO.
I can't imagine how Kelsey's family must feel, how is Baby K going to feel, once she's old enough to comprehend, that all these characters knew. Every last one, but her beloved Mommy.
Let that sink in.

Testing takes longer than a day or two, this isn't CSI/NCIS instant results. I don't know what their case load is for testing and which agency would be testing.

I’m sure a lot of phones are different. Could have happened either way.

Rampart Range Road, is a very remote (and dangerous in the winter) dirt road spanning from Woodland park to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.

Google Maps

Is it even open in winter? Or is this a spring thaw type road?

Amateur here, but I think in a case where the body is not intact, they call in an anthropologist, too, for the bones.

If L.e had found anything that might be human remains at PF’s...they would have been out there for days, with forensics and anthropologists etc...not just collect them and send to the lab. That did not happen imo.

Well, we know the R's are getting their info from their employee. It's PR work for KK and damage control for themselves and M. KK's definitely involved and likely more than just the phone. It's so difficult to know the exact dynamics of the relationships we're trying to understand with the little facts we actually know. KK has an attorney and she's cooperating. Now, is she REALLY cooperating or is she cooperating as per PF through his first attorney? We heard nothing from him and we're hearing nothing from KK, except of course, through the R's. Karla Holmolka cooperated too but she lied, BY OMISSION, conveniently leaving out the part that showed her fully participating in the crimes which were discovered AFTER the prosecution gave her a deal. Thankfully, she went to prison too, but not for long enough!
edit: discovered through videos found after the deal.

It's not about saying who is or is not innocent.

But right now, there's one person charged, but no publicly released evidence.

Anything else is at best second hand, if not further out. No other person has yet been charged.

I think it was intended to send from Idaho to make it look like she was there, on her journey to see family. I think these dimwits never imagined LE would make the connection to a girl in Idaho as an accomplice. They probably believed that LE would buy it hook, line and sinker that she took off and something must have happened to her on the road. Like maybe some really bad dude picked her up. These aren’t geniuses obviously.

iirc the Rs said they were speaking up primarily for their employee. Is that how you remember it from their video?
