Yes.
If KB were dead, he would get custody of the baby girl. He would have money coming in via baby girl's inheritance (KB's life insurance, house, etc). A lot of the inheritance would be in a trust fund that baby girl would inherit when she turned 21, but PF would still get money to support baby girl.

imo moo

Good Morning all,

I have to run out but want to put this out here.

If KB were dead yes he would have first rights to baby K but how do you see an inheritance.?

KB could have had her parents as beneficiaries on any financial assets because baby K is only a baby and then in later years her parents would designate it to her.
Also we have no idea if KB even had any money or life insurance etc.

<snipped by me for focus>

I also don’t think (now) that she in any way feared PF. I don’t believe either of them thought they would get caught. I think they thought they would outsmart everyone. I think she was there when he killed Kelsey.

I do agree my imagination is running wild. In my mind, everything was so neatly packaged. But now, after CW and this nut that kidnapped JC,
I think people are capable of doing just about anything. And it disturbs me.

More thoughts?
BBM
I absolutely see where you're coming from, but just can't make the leap that she was actually there, YET. Unless, they find her DNA in KB's home, or PF rolls over on her, but that might be suspect.

Back a bit, some where questioning HOW LE determined KB is dead. Obviously, they found enough evidence at KB's townhouse in way of blood or other tissue. Maybe something from PF's ranchette. BUT, could KK have seen KB's body. If she wasn't there for the actual deed, she may have seen the results and possibly been involved in the disposal. IF she told LE that, they are sure KB is gone.

In the end, I believe it will boil down to the circumstantial evidence more than what is said, either by PF or KK. They are both pathological liars, IMHO. It will be a "he said, she said," situation. Although, there could also be other independent first hand knowledge.

All MOO, and more MOO :)

This case is so shocking to me because it first seemed like a simple case of PF getting into some sort of argument over the baby.

Not in a million years did I think there were prior solicitations to find a hitwoman and what is ending up as some crazy elaborate plan involving at least one other person.

Most of us were blown away by the solicitations charges. Usually, these monsters work alone.

A new article ... out of Twin Falls. The media there trying to get some clarification on conflicting information and not getting any.

Colorado district court: Murder case is sealed

“At this moment, this case is not under investigation by the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office or the Twin Falls Police Department,” county prosecutor Grant Loebs told the Times-News on Thursday. That won’t change, “unless there is a tie to some crime committed in Idaho.”

The county will continue to help in the investigation as needed, Loebs said.

“But the last thing we would want is to do something that would interfere with the investigation,” he said. “Any time speculation and rumors that are not factual are released, and re-released on social media, it’s a bad thing for an investigation.”

The Times-News contacted Lee Richards, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office in Colorado Springs, on Friday to clarify some conflicting information reported by various news outlets. Richards told the Times-News the case was sealed.

“I can’t answer any questions,” she said.

Colorado district court: Murder case is sealed
Law enforcement agencies have released little information about Idaho’s connection to a Colorado mom’s disappearance and murder, as speculation and rumors swirl.

Meanwhile, discussion groups on Facebook devoted to the Berreth case grow daily. The Facebook group “Prayers for Kelsey Berreth” has more than 14,000 members. YouTube channels such as Woodland Park Underground continue to focus on the investigation.

The Times-News contacted Lee Richards, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office in Colorado Springs, on Friday to clarify some conflicting information reported by various news outlets. Richards told the Times-News the case was sealed.

“I can’t answer any questions,” she said.

Media who identified themselves as an NBC reporter, an ABC producer and a freelance photographer for the U.K.’s Daily Mail converged Jan. 4 at a home in Twin Falls County expecting to find the FBI serving a search warrant, they said. What they found were “no trespassing” signs and a heavy chain across the entrance to the property.

Since then, the district attorney’s office in Colorado asked the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office to not grant any more interviews, sheriff’s spokeswoman Lori Stewart said.

So yes, I would want to do that and make it look like an out of town trip as someone else said.

But no way, no how would I let it be anywhere near where I live or my friends live, especially if it travelled 800 miles, its too damning.

Whoever has the phone is involved. Ping, ping So why let it be anywhere near you?

To buy a couple of extra days by sending the texts- it's not worth it.

Why wouldn't they have ditched it off one of those huge cliffs on the side of the road.?
I'm late to the party on this so it might have been mentioned already.

I think "whoever" had KB's phone got nosey. The texts to DOSS and PF could have been sent earlier on the trip. I could envision "someone" wanting to sleuth KB, get into her email, friends texts and such getting to know more about her, unless PF had already "wiped" things clean. There's one person in particular that I think would do this :) MOO
Just to add, if someone had my phone and passcode or if it was not passcode protected, they could see all the emails I've kept over the last 10 years.

Welcome! So true.

Does anyone know if it costs money to do a court records search in CO? I created an account but it’s asking for a credit card before searches can be performed.

I've wondered what the chances are that a phone could be turned on accidentally, like if it were disposed of on a road and driven over, thrown over a cliff, or hit with a hammer. Pure speculation.

There are costs which depends on which vendor you use. LexisNexus is $5.00 a search for any county but Denver which is $2.00. I don't know if there are charges any documents which may be available.

Do we have written evidence that the three solicitation charges were all with the nurse? (mind must be going here for a reason)
We did - past tense. It was published in some article, and I think it has been changed. It was quoted in posts here on WS though that all 3 solicitations were to KK. iirc it was in the R's interviews. I'll check my posts to see which thread it was discussed. BBL

I am afraid LE cut a deal for immunity for her.

The reason I worry about this is because the only bargaining chip she had was her information and agreeing to testify against PF so surely she would have gotten a signed deal through her lawyer before she shared all she knows.

Otherwise if she would have told all she knew before getting a signed deal then LE could charge her with crimes and she would have no way to stop it. Which is why I think a deal was made before she shared all she knew.

I have seen in the movies (i know...LOL) where LE may do a deal like this but what they would do is have wording in the deal that so long as she wasnt the one that actually did the murder then the deal is valid. That is something LE may agree to and sign the deal without knowing her involvement up front. If they found out she actually did the murder then the deal would be off and she could be charged with murder.

I hope I am wrong about her getting full immunity through a deal already because I am thinking she is culpable at least helping after the fact and that should warrant some sort of penalty.
I am also concerned about them cutting a deal too early with KK. What I have seen is that deals are broken if the cooperating person is caught having lied about anything or omitted anything. It happens because people still want to downplay their participation. I won't give the example here because it will be repeated as fact.

Thanks, Jethro. I should have been more specific. I was referring to the cocourts.com site.
