Wow! So KK can testify of the death occurring on 11/22/18. I can understand wanting her to be a witness since she was also solicited but if the defense can show these two had a romantic relationship; this might be difficult to convince a jury of her non-involvement and non-self-interest.

Right now here’s what we know #KelseyBerreth phone was moved by Krystal Kenney. We don’t know what exactly was done.

Krystal Lee was NOT arrested. She received a felony summons instead. That is a Colorado law. @KKTV11News

Yes, he clarified that today in the press conference.

He said that she received a felony summons because over the past three years, there was a change in Colorado law and Colorado class 5 and class 6 felonies you can give a summons rather than arrest someone. She has been fingerprinted and a photograph was taken as we know already.

Well played by LE.

All court rooms have terrible sound, I'm thinking the reason is the type of microphone they use. I believe a uni directional mic pics up sound spoken/sang directly in the mic and doesn't pick up background noise. They probably use cheap omni directional mics which will pick up every noise in the room.
In the PC, DA May addressed this issue. The courthouse is a historical building and that court room has poor acoustics.

They’d have two things to overcome:

Discount any evidence of his involvement.

Prove that KK could have been in the area at the time of the murder.

They will certainly be able to point to a motive, but if she wasn’t in Colorado when this happened, then they are in big trouble.

They need means and opportunity.

I thought I heard the DA also mention a particular halfway house.... which I thought was odd in a case like this! I could be wrong.... will have to go back and listen again!
Yes, so much in this case Nudgee has been odd and wrong and we aren't even near the actual trial yet.

A reported asked about the search of the landfill site at the very end of the press conference.

Dan May started questioning whether it had been released into public domain. It had not.

Which means the landfill site search was real. My interpretation of it and how it was the only question he wavered on was there was still info to be released . I don't think they have done the landfill search yet, they are probably still planning it and gathering resources- staff etc.
Ethically, DA cannot be the source of that information unless it's already public and he comments on what's already been published.

After confirming , he referred the reporter to the police department/investigators. I did not construe his "no comment" to suggest any truth to yesterday's HLN's media chatter! MOO

If I learn she spent intimate time with PF during her stay in Woodland Park, I'll scream. She knew he'd just killed KB.

Are jurors allowed to ask questions in the state of Colorado to people that are on the stand?

Video of KK walking into court room holding her coat in front of her body. hmmmm..... Motive?
Haaa. Good catch!

If preggers, I don't think she'd be the first wanting to use her condition for leniency at sentencing.

And I can't even let my brain go the motive route....

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Ma F's house today. Just sayin' ;) Wonder what's being thought now?

..and KKL's house and in-laws.

And collateral to her death, What she has done to her children and her ex-husband etc., SMH

Hey KKL, was it worth it?

Ok, I just found the post, one person said it was from a few years ago and someone else came back and said it was from yesterday, that she had to be fingerprinted . So I really don't know.
DA May spoke to his assistant (curly hair and glasses female) during the presser. KKL was fingerprinted and photographed at Colorado Springs PD yesterday. They were the ones to release her photo to the press and public via twitter this morning. hth

You are misinterpreting what I was saying. The DA made it very clear it was against the ethics of his role to release any information that was not already in public domain.

And I wasn't referencing any rumors from yesterday, it took me a few minutes to figure out what you were talking about.

I just think they actually haven't done the landfill search yet.

I am sure if she has to testify the defense will destroy her. And I don’t think the DA cares one bit as long as they have PF. If they have good evidence on PF, they won’t care.

Which makes me believe the DA is going to ask for the death penalty. Yes I know no one there has been put to death in CO in years. But PF isn’t going to give up anything so why shouldn’t the DA ask for death row? If the jury says yes, he spends his days on death row, if they say no, he will spend his life in prison anyway. I see this as a win win for the DA.

And they don’t need PF’s assistance anymore. If he wants to be hard nosed and not tell them where Kelsey is, so be it. I wouldn’t waste my time on him.

I don’t see them going for the death penalty here.

Death penalty cases are rare in Colorado, and a no-body death penalty case is rare (if not unprecedented) across the United States.

Even if this was in Texas, I couldn’t see them going that route.

The alleged due date would certainly be interesting.

Now they have her fingerprints : LE may be checking them against prints taken in and around KB town home. That might be a telling factor IMO
Smart! I like your thinking.

I am no fan of KK, but take a mugshot of the vast majority of us and people could come up that same interpretation. She has a resting face where her mouth is down-turned, so it doesn't appear happy. That's genes...

Let's hope she can turn her anger into helping the prosecution get justice for Kelsey's family. She did not have to say "I learned PF committed a homicide" this morning in order to admit what she did. I think she is going to help them out a lot. MOO
