I don't see the Rs and MS lying. They're just acting as KK's PR team and at the same time trying to justify their own inaction.

I'm thinking that perhaps only MS had the information about the solicitation and shared those thoughts with the R's. I'm not convinced that KK talked to them until after the authorities connected her to KB's disappearance. I think she then decided to "lawyer up"and talked to the R's. I believe that both PF and KB were certain they had a "foolproof" plan. When LE connected with KK she panicked. I think her family may have decided that the R's had insufficient criminal defense experience and then brought in the "bigshot lawyer". Now the R's are busy covering their own butts. After all, would you want to hire an attorney that allowed a murder to occur?? Oh wait, I forgot the forum we're on... there may quite a few people lurking who are interested in just that!!

I believe in the constitutional rights of all US citizens. PF deserves a fair trial.

That said, I want to see the documents and I want cameras in the courtroom!!

This one really bugs me and while it's been discussed, I don't think any explanation came up us to why M knew Kelsey was missing before it was officially reported. Occam's razor: KK told M that Kelsey had been murdered or was missing. If KK told her "missing", that would mean KK was hoping they'd get away with it and she wouldn't even tell M of her involvement in or knowledge of the murder. If KK told M that Kelsey was dead, them M lied to the Rs with the "missing" story, covering for KK and trying to make her look innocent.

IMO it wouldn't make sense for KK to tell MS on Nov 26 that Kelsey was missing. That was one day after the text were sent to make it look like she was away voluntarily. If KK told MS about her involvement, then it wouldn't make sense for MS to tell other people anything about it. All they had to do is wait. It is more likely that the Rs were notified on Dec 3, when there was probably aready a FB page set-up and the police made an appeal for information.

If whoever filed the motion for extended press knew how to file a motion it might have happened. They forgot to have all parties served. (DA May's office and PF's attorney) Simpleton's! But, I've been a simpleton before too.

I want to know if KB had a baby shower, was it a celebratory time, and was PF involved in the birth? (This is such a sad story and I think I really want to visualize some happy times for Kelsey.)

If it's true that the baby doesn't have PF's last name (any reasons why not?), then he probably wasn't present at birth.

I agree, I was saying that I think MS had heard about PF soliciting KK to commit murder long before Nov. 26. I just don't think she discussed what she knew with the R's until KK told her that she had KB's cellphone. At that point she talked to her employers (the R's). She may have been trying to find out whether she had any culpability for not coming forward. Regardless of what they say, I find it hard to believe that the R's would wait more than a day or 2, before contacting LE.

Reportedly, KK never talked to the R's.

KK confided in MS, employed by the R's -- probably hoping MS could get her some free, off record advice via MS. Mr. R responded to MS that KK needed to contact him, and he told us in his interview that she never did.

Had KK ever talked to Mr. R, he would have been bound not to speak publicly.

It's apparent KK made a good choice with her representation licensed to practice in Colorado!

Just because it seems that PF and KK's entire plan was to make it look as if KB took off for the week, hence the texts. So why would they already be telling people she was missing?

Perhaps it went like this:

Yes, KK sent the text to Kelsey's employer but knew it would only buy them time and, soon, Kelsey would be discovered as missing. So, she tells M that "that girl" is missing, figuring it's going to hit the news, soon, anyway - like a heads up, this is going to happen. We know KK talked to M, extensively. KK can't keep her trap shut. She's excited or agitated about what she's just taken part in. She's got to tell, at least, part or some version of the story to get it out and release the tension. M repeats the missing story to the Rs. Why the Rs make up the Facebook story, I dunno. It simply suffices to say what M told them. Nothing undigs the hole they put themselves in for not reporting a murder in the planning before it happened. I think they engaged in sloppy, half assed CYA.

I'd like an attorney answer on this one, IF all parties had been served in the motion for extended coverage, do you feel any of the other 3 reasons on the objection would have caused extended coverage to still be "not allowed?"

I’m referring to press coverage on the 19th. Whoever filed it (that page froze on me, it must be getting hit hard) forgot to serve the DA and Frazees attorney. So as of now no extended press coverage and the page won’t reload for me I’m assuming too much traffic

That's not why media coverage request was denied.

In criminal cases, expanded media coverage (EMC) is only allowed for Advisements and Arraignments. 2/19 is a preliminary hearing.
