This case seems pretty straightforward to me. Nothing strange about it when you compare it to hundreds of other cases where a woman went missing after seeing her spouse/boyfriend, who was the last person to actually see her. Add a pregnancy or a baby into the mix, the couple in some kind of limbo, and it's practically boilerplate Dateline.
There was no reason for Chris Watts to murder his wife who was still trying to save their marriage either. He could have walked away with his mistress and gotten a divorce. He chose to murder his pregnant wife and 2 daughters instead. Kelsey wasn't going away any time soon because they had a child together. Even if they broke up he would have to keep seeing her or if he allowed her to move out of state with the child, he would end up paying for her to raise their daughter. The one who doesn't want the relationship to continue has a motive to end it for good by drastic means if they feel "trapped" somehow by the very existence of the other person. It doesn't makes sense to most of us who are non-murderous individuals but there is a pattern of this type of thing happening. MOO.
These dogs are amazing. I did quite a bit of research about them during the Charli Scott case.
Not big enough for me to live with my mother in law...
This whole situation reminds me of him....Reminds me of Josh Powell
I'll never, ever understand why LE cannot question a POI. I imagine there are no POIs yet? Is LE allowed to question a suspect if they have evidence to support their suspicions, such as witnesses, location of body, etc. I really do not understand why someone can refuse to be questioned, at least.
I saw photos earlier today, and I'm looking around the 'net for them now. I'll post if I locate them.Does someone have a link so I can see that?
Whoa.. there is no evidence that KB family funded the purchase of her home. Using a family owned mortgage company does not represent her loan was not traditional financing -- lenders are highly regulated after last mortgage crisis. MOO
What happens to the baby if he is jailed? Do they just automatically put her parents in charge of the baby?
Almost a month later, can they pick up a scent?I imagine. Although we've just heard "dogs" as far as I know.
MOO

Here is search and rescue heading up to Patrick Frazee’s home, the fiancé of missing mother Kelsey Berreth. Teller County Sheriff’s Office says they will be searching the 34 acre area with dogs to try and pick up Kelsey’s sent, if there is one there

Tax records are not always indicative of ownership. He may have bought the home from his mother and did not change the name on his tax bill at the assessors office. I've owned my home for over 20 years and for privacy reasons I keep the tax bill in the name of the prior owner
I think so unless there's someone who contests that, and then it would be a bigger issue/decision.
sorry, catching up here.....The size of PF's house looks huge. Something up she wasn't living there with him and the kiddo. I got spoiled with the speed the CW case was resolved; this one's driving me crazy....
For what it is worth, the route to Sandpoint Idaho does not really go through Southern Idaho.
