Does anyone find it extremely odd that KK's story is that she wanted to leave clues for LE in the town home and wanted LE to track her down via cell pings? Sorry but I think she made those mistakes because she made those mistakes. She took LE into the town home and said look, I left this blood here for you to find? I turned the phones on so you would know where to look for me? I wanted him to get caught? I wanted to be implicated in obstructing the investigation and possibly a conspiracy to commit murder? I tried to help? Are you kidding me? MOO

But yet at no time did she ever pick up the phone to inform anyone that Kelsey was in grave danger. Not when he wanted her to poison her, not when he called her continuously with dates to come back and try again, not when he called and said clean this mess, not on her 800 mile drives back and forth, not while she was intimate with him, not while she scrubbed a houseful of blood off the walls, baby toys, or a Holy Bible, not while she fished a tooth out of a vent, not while she looked at the pictures of K and Baby K in K's home, not while K's remains were still intact and could be used as evidence in this case, not while she watched PF burn K's remains, never. She is as black souled as he is. MOO

Okay, maybe the darkest of gray souls. I'm with GK on PF being the worst of this evil pair.

Maybe I’m reading into it too much, but his demand also tells me that KK was much more of a willing participant (in wanting KB dead) than she suggests.

Sure, PF probably regularly uses controlling language like this. But still, this referenced text just makes me wonder if KK encouraged PF to commit the crime just as much as he allegedly tried to get her to on previous occasions. MOO
When I read that ... I thought ... he’s calling KK to brag that he’s done it - finally - he was the MAN she wanted him to be ... it’s disgusting, evil and sickening but it sounds like he was proud of himself and if he was proving something ... we should ask WHY he thought he had to prove it to KK?

She has an alibi. Family Thanksgiving, her dad was there as well. Then she had a beer with her Aunt Kristi in idaho before leaving.
Actually I beleive it was stated that the beer with her aunt was when they made the visit in september to look at a horse trailer. I think you are confusing dates and times...MOO

Another question. How will the DA bring the evidence all together when they have no pictures of PF leaving the home with the body? Isn’t there a camera pointing at her front door from the neighbors home?

And Slater said he was seen in a white shirt with no blood on him.

There was so much confusion today, it makes your head spin.

The DA should be whipped for letting his own investigator keep repeating that PF and KK said that baby was abused.

I bet PF fights this to the very end.

Kelsey Berreth case: Patrick Frazee to stand trial for murdering Colorado mom, judge rules

2/19/19

Testimony during the daylong hearing centered on what Frazee's paramour, 32-year-old Krystal Jean Lee Kenney, told investigators during their probe into Frazee's disappearance. Colorado Bureau of Investigation Agent Gregg Slater testified that Kenney told police Frazee characterized Berreth as an alcoholic who had physically abused the couple's daughter, Kaylee. Slater said there was no evidence that was the case.

Slater testified that Frazee began trying to convince Kenney to kill Berreth in September of last year. Kenney told police Frazee suggested a number of methods to kill Berreth, including poisoning her coffee and beating her with a metal pipe or baseball bat. According to Slater, Kenney said she failed to follow through with Frazee's instructions, leading him to say at one point at the end of October: "I guess if you can't do it, I'm going to have to."
I thought KK said at one point that she herself came up with the idea of putting something in her coffee to "harm" her. I thought I read it in the last thread.

I'm guessing it was something she had personal access to ( ie. her own prescription). Then again, we are talking about a woman that picked up a tooth from a floor register and had lunch at sonic after.
whoa...where did y'all read about the tooth (OMG) and the ambien?

uh..she picked up a human tooth and then went to...Sonic..with the tooth and god knows what else in the car with her.
sorry I can just never forget that.

I am absolutely horrified at the details that have come out today. I knew it was going to be bad but I’m still shocked, horrified and dumbfounded. What a wicked evil monster he is the two of them are monsters and doing the murder with the little girl in the house makes things even worse. I still hope somehow he can be charged with desecration of Kelsey’s remains but I understand in a case without remains why they may not want to do so.

The accomplice should be looking at thirty years or more minimum for what she has done. She is an accessory to murder as well as destroying evidence even if she will help convict him. I don’t believe all her claims either. Why would you ever get involved in something as horrific as this crime? She was a nurse which is supposed to be a caring profession I am sure she will never work again.

His Mother should never see her Granddaughter ever again either I hope their is a legal avenue to prevent her from doing so.

Sorry for venting I know how angry you all must be tonight.

The thing that strikes me is this-

If I wanted to kill my girlfriend/fiance/wife at her condo, I would do it as quietly and cleanly as possible. This is Murder 101. I am not a "cowboy" or as big as PF but I have little doubt that I could strangle a woman (sorry) who had a sweater covering her face awaiting pleasant aromas.

This is not what PF wanted.

He wanted to use a baseball bat to inflict as much damage as possible with no concern for blood evidence. This is hard to fathom. He hated KB. He thought she deserved his punishment. His actions were not spontaneous, he thought this out and planned this method of execution. A baseball bat.

I can't even begin to understand this.

That’s horror movie type stuff, and although this does seem like a horror movie, I don’t for a second think she was tied up.

A sadistic killer, who takes pleasure in inflicting mental and physical torture, doesn’t solicit someone else to kill for him.

He wanted her dead, just like Chris Watts wanted his wife dead; this was a means to an end.

I do think he tricked her, and did it the way he said.
Yeah agree PF didn’t actually play the “guess the scent” game at all because he would have no patience or incentive to do so. And I don’t believe he tied her up. Why? Because he didn’t need to.

PF was a pragmatic killer. Not sophisticated, but pragmatic in the same way he might slaughter his cattle. Have big tool available, lure animal into position, distract them, then kill.

Then call assistant informing her “You have a mess to clean up.”

I have had company and just can’t catch up. Horrendous death for Kelsey. Breaks my heart. Can someone tell me why LE so badly fumbled this case? We know PF is guilty but good Lord, the defense has so much to work with. The bumbling investigation of blood in her apartment. The nurse being a horrible witness as she comes across as the planner of this crime and a murderer herself through today’s testimony.

And the prosecution did a bang up job of destroying The victim (KB) by having KK and PF’s words at every turn saying KB was an abuser, sick of mind, etc. this whole thing today made me sick. There was no organization of facts. There was bombshell after bombshell. Good grief, I think defense will destroy KK for sure and get PF off on a stupid technicality that LE screwed up.

In the meantime, we have six people that we know of at this moment who covered up a horrible crime. Ma Frazee, KK, PF, the R’s and MS. And maybe other of PF’s family and friends. Did they all agree murder was ok? I am just horrified that we may never see justice for Kelsey and Kaylee.

I am so angry. We saw how great CO did in the Watts case. I guess WPPD and the DA are just stupid.

I am guessing we will see PF get a reduced charge as a plea deal of some sort.

Nah, I keep thinking of the man, the bat and the tiny young woman. He's toast.

eta: You are correct she was not in Co. when the murder took place, but the beer with the aunt didn't happen on thanksgiving...

A lot of this sounds too “girly”, imo.
Good grief, KKL makes it sound like they were hosting a surprise party.
ETA: is Patrick even aware candles come in dif’ scents, lol!
I wonder how he got the bat into the condo. Did he just walk in with it or was it already there?
I’m still catching up on reading. Sorry if this has been addressed.
Moo

Maybe they do have that video and are saving it for the trial. Today, they only needed to present enough evidence to ensure that PF was bound over for trial.

Not a lawyer, but it seemed that perhaps the reason so much came out today was because the prosecution really wanted to give the judge every reason to deny bail and because if enough came out, it was possible that PF would reflect and decide to plead guilty and skip the trial.

I don't know how much PF knew before today about what KK had said in interviews, but hearing it in a closed room with your lawyer is a lot different from hearing it in front of your whole community.

F******g Disgusting. What a despicable monster.
Can't say more that's fit to be posted.
Wishing a punishment on PF , that would fit the crime. I wish that it could.

It would be nice to think the first blow to her head rendered her unconscious. But we'll probably never know.
Did she scream ? Did she call out for her baby, or her mom ?

I think there should be another arrest, for KK's participation in trying to 'erase' the murder scene. Isn't there a penalty for those actions ?

So sorry for the Berreth family !!
Kelsey did nothing but be kind to this garbage who cannot be called a 'human' (Not in my book, anyway).

As I shake my head, I wonder why God creates people like this. But as wonder, I am planning on dying with a legal pad full of questions for Him upon my death. Maybe then all questions will be answered.
God does not create people like this ... people choose to be like this ... by their own FREE will, though most blame someone else for their evil ways.

I believe she offered to supply the rx to drug the coffee drink. It was probably KK idea for the hoax thank you at the door for KB allegedly looking for fake lost dog. It's truly unbelievable the lengths PF and KK were willing to go to the rid themselves of KB. :(

I believe the darkened ground was at PF's property and the hay bale was in the barn where they left the black tote temporarily but there was such an information overload today, who knows?!
Yes, there were two areas with discoloration.

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
At Frazee’s property, Slater said something caught his eye. In Afghanistan, he says he was trained to detect where IEDs were. He noticed a distinct discoloration in an area that Kenney eventually pointed out as the burn area. The dirt was darker there than nearby. @KOAA

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
Slater said he didn’t see anything charred in the dirt there. He just noticed the discoloration. FBI evidence team was present. Kenney also pointed out a small red plastic gas can & totes similar to what she said Frazee used to transport Kelsey’s body. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
Slater says Arson Investigator jerry Meams came to the frazee property that day, Dec. 21. They excavated the area & found charred clumps of plastic. A test revealed there was accelerant in the debris. @KOAA #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth #KrystalKenney

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
Slater says a cadaver dog was brought to Nash Ranch eventually. It alerted to the specific discolored hay bale when positioned both underneath and above it. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

I think he was taking his frustration with KK and his anger at having to do his own evil work out on KB.
