I love that cameras were part of the undoing of both these creeps.

I'll never forget the clip of CW seeing video of himself at the neighbor's house. Oops!
Haha the way he put his hands on his head like he was ready to get cuffed.

I tell you, if Ann Rule were alive, this would be the book she would write, so many twists and turns. Could someone tell me who texted KB's employer and said she would not be coming in. Was it PF?

  • #343
I think LE believed her in the beginning, but I'm wondering if they have doubt now I know I sure do.
The things she told them, the things that were material to the case against PF, they were able to verify.

I’m sure that they do believe she is saving face in some areas, but they clearly believe her in regards to how this all went down.

She took them to the location where KB’s body was stored. They found evidence on the hay that corroborated it.

She took them to the burn site, in which they were also able to find evidence that supported her account.

She also pointed them to blood evidence in specific locations within KB’s house.

I’m sure that cell phone records and witness statements, also supported her story.

So yes, they may have some suspicions in regards to lies, but not big ones that affect the case.

I know this is sexist, but IMO she is eviler than him. She is a woman and a mother. I find her too be a monster!
Yes, it is sexist. The one who did the maximum amount of evil here is being considered less evil, based solely on his gender.

It was KK, but at the direction of PF

Perhaps but she did say a dump or a river. Dump could send them on a wild goose chase while she disposed of the remains in a river in Idaho. She said she refused to take the body buts she didn't say anything about cremated remains.
Can cadaver dogs pick up scent from charred bones?

I have to think CB texted or called KB's phone daily, from 11/23 onward.

Mom would know what wasn't right. Despite the text sent from KB's phone, Mom CB would not be put off, knowing that KB didn't usually go without contact, especially about Baby K.

I bet she sent a package as a test and when there was no response, she had to contact PF to go check the house. Do we know when she sent the package? Do we know when it arrived?

I think she was getting really worried on Monday, Nov 26.

And who was the "friend of PF" that picked up the package? When did this friend pick it up? What did this friend do with it? What was the response from PF to CB>

I thought since it was holiday time, she might have been sending some gift for the baby or for KB, especially since KB was not home for Thanksgiving.

It’s entirely possible that he used drugs, but drug use is not a requirement.

Lots of people have anger issues.

Lots of people keep weird hours.

This guy had a plan, and he was dedicated to carrying it out.

I think he was awake all night Wednesday, because he planned to kill Kelsey in some sort of shooting event.

Something changed, and he ultimately decided to kill her on Thanksgiving.

He was too busy to sleep.
And doesn’t his known mistreatment of animals go back to at least high school? This guy didn’t need drugs. I think this has been the way he ticks for a very long time.

Exactly. This guy doesn’t have anger issues because he was kicked in the head by a horse.

He has anger issues that caused him to be kicked in the head by a horse.

Clearly he didn’t come out of it any brighter though.

did I spell it correctly? I'm a terrible typist...

...but a wordsmith, nonetheless! (Now I've impressed myself with "nonetheless"!)

Who is this friend? Who is a defendant that showed at Ma Frazee's on Thanksgiving?if A defendant refers to PF why not state his/her name? Could this why PF called Ma Frazee after the murder? " Hey Ma can I bring So,and so to dinner"? Is this why the two different options of PF killing her himself,or with other person/s.
I've been wondering how PF could drive, and make calls between his,and KB's phones while traveling to Cripple Creek area without crashing.
MOO

I just imagine PF telling SF that he was on his way. He might have been late - the brother apparently arrived at 2:30 and PF was calling about 2 hrs after that, but we do not know what time SF was serving dinner.

  • KK brought gloves, a hair net, two trash bags, bleach, a white body suit (to keep things off her person) and booties (shoe covers). She brought those supplies from home, Slater says, because she recently moved into a new home and had them from painting her home. She said the hospital had the suit.
Ok, the only items that KK brought that I would use when painting my house are the trash bags and MAYBE the shoe covers (though I never have used those).

I have never used gloves, a hairnet, or bleach when painting. Anyone else?
Nope. I use “paint clothes” like most everyone else. No hair net. And bleach? What for? To add more noxious fumes to the paint fumes in the house?

Your best post of the day!

It does seem sexist. He spent how long fooling her into thinking they might have a future? He had a child with her. He beat her brains in while pretending she was going to guess candle scents. As her baby was nearby in another room.

I think of the innocence and vulnerability of KB. No family around. No friends nearby. Hopefully waiting and being strung along, thinking he really was her fiancée and they would make their family "official".

Probably being gaslighted. Having to go to a hospital for anxiety and depression as her dreams never materialized and she realized the trap of being away from friends and family in the state of a man who probably didn't love her, raising their child together. Likely not being accepted by his family. Definitely not his mother.

And yet she still hopes. She is alone on Thanskgiving morning with her baby. She gamely makes some cinnamon buns. Perhaps in an effort to be festive. Or hopeful that she will be invited to the family dinner.

But PF says they will celebrate together. So she at least won't be alone. She buys flowers, though, that afternoon. Still thinking she might have an opportunity to win over his recalcitrant mother, for whom I'm betting no woman is good enough for her baby boy.

He comes over. Asks her to play a fun game. She agrees. Allows herself to be blindfolded. Thinks it might be fun. And as she stands there with the father of her child nearby and her baby down the hall and waits for a scent that never comes, she suddenly experiences something very different. The man she hoped to marry and raise a family with just beat her head in with a blunt object. No candle scent. No fun. Just pain.

PF did that. Not KK. He did that to the mother of his child. To a woman who thought she was his fiancée.

The person who helped him clean up the scene and cover up the crime doesn't rise to the level of the evil of a person who betrayed the trust and took advantage of the vulnerability of the woman he knew and bore a child with.

I do think sexism is partially to blame for the steadfast determination to find KK guilty of murder.
Well said. Great reality check. Thank you for that!

Agree. She is evil for fully, and willingly going along with it,and manipulating others into helping her help him kill kelsey.
Then not giving up the ghost until she lawyered up,and got a deal just to save her own backside,Because their equal stupidity lead to her door.
I do believe she wanted Kelsey out of the picture as much as PF. This was equal opportunity evil.
MOO

KK texted on KB's phone from Idaho.

Especially in view of the fact that all the data we currently have point to him being the murderer.

Just when I thought I couldn't feel more sad for Kelsey, you have broken my heart anew, gitana.

Remembering that this was a vulnerable, depressed young mother away from family on a holiday is heartbreaking.

Her hope for more magnifies the pain.

First he murdered her emotionally, then physically.

I truly believe these types are evil. Not just screwed up, but evil.

It is weird. They also don't have PF hauling a huge tote out of the house. I guess it's either that the surveillance video is intermittent or sketchy, or they do have such video and just haven't made it public.

unclear if the video covers the whole doorway- maybe it picks up PF because he is 6'2", but a shorter person or what PF might be dragging at his feet is cut out of the video? One of the videos supposedly did show PF, KB and little K. Not sure if the video is clear after sunset. Also, we were told previously that since this is a free video service, the "subscriber" only gets a certain number of videos per week. Unclear if there is still more video available to LE on demand. Presumably it is focused on the neighbor's door, so it only peripherally picks up KB's door.
