yes... if you recall, in the later camera recording of PF, they say the person "looks like PF" and seems to be wearing a clean white shirt. if the camera is that far away, the images could be less distinct. (just occurred to me- did he get himself a new shirt at Walmart? the killer always returns to the scene of the crime ...to change clothing.... would be dumb.)
Maybe PF was wearing the tshirt under another his sweater or shirt that got bloody?

In the arrest affidavit, Paragraph 11 talks about him being *identified* at Walmart,

paragraph 12 talks about him at 1:34 pm as " matching the physical description", and

paragraph 13 at 3:36 p.m. refers to "matching the physical description".

I wonder if in all three of them he was wearing a white T-shirt.

In this picture which was just posted, the are two white devices mounted on the wall of the unit next to KB's, that weren't there in the May 2018 Zillow photo. Could one be the ARLO 1 Camera and the other be an ARLO LIGHT security light?

good Q but all we know is that they are supposed to be Arlos, right? cameras keep getting smaller and easier to hide- they do not even have to be mounted outside. As to KK, maybe there are videos of her but they just confirm what she said so LE did not mention them at this point in the case (icing on the cake but not necessary).

That KK took KB's gun and then really did give it to a friend is EXTREMELY stupid. The ATF would have entered that gun's serial number in a database and as soon as that friend tried to sell or pawn that gun or for some reason got stopped by police and they checked the serial number...boom, nailed! The friend would have instantly told LE how he got it.

FWIW one of the reports said that the friend was a "gun dealer," and that KK told him the gun was "her aunt's" and that she "wanted to get rid of it." I imagine that gun dealers are somewhat sophisticated and that they come across stolen, counterfeit, unregistered guns.

Yes, she is his sister. Other family members may live in CO, too.

Speaking of the poison coffee, I have wondered if KK didn't really poison the coffee, but KB was just smart enough not to drink it. I feel KK really did poison it; otherwise, why buy it and deliver it? There is no way for us to know.

to superficially comply with PF's order. KB might have even mentioned this event to PF thereby giving KK "points for effort." Also KK gave her the phone # to set up a play date- so she was establishing some seemingly neutral connection to KB to possibly exploit later. (this makes me think that KB had not seen pictures of KK or met her at a rodeo before this but of course we do not know if KB thought KK looked familiar or was suspicious about this.).

This has probably been discussed but wouldn't a person be chilly in a light t-shirt when the temperature is a high of 51 degrees with 15 mph winds as it was there on Thanksgiving Day?

Yes, it appears that PF had certainly shed some bloody layers.

Edited to confirm that I agree with girlhasnoname.

Blood found in KB's bathroom = PF showered and changed clothes at her place, IMO.

does anyone remember when PF told CB that he gave KB back her keys and her gun? Because he still has the keys (supposedly) to hand over to KK on 11/23? So, another lie? Does anyone think that he did not keep a set of keys to KB's condo?

in an 800 mi trip, KK needs to stop for gas. is she always paying cash? some folks have suggested that she might have been in CO for Thanksgiving, gone back to ID, and come back to CO again, but if she is with others, she is leaving the family gathering and has to be picked up/dropped off, etc. that is complicated and would create events that people would remember.

The VW Passat is rated 36 mpg hwy and has an 18.5 gal tank. If KKL started the 800 mile trip with a full tank, gas would only have to be filled once, with a wide range of place options. There would be plenty of gas left to make the run to Nash ranch. The arrest affidavit says KKL filled in Divide, so again she would only have to stop once on the return. IMO

Jurors are typically instructed to consider only what is presented in court. The most recent time that I was on a jury ~2 1/2 years ago, we were specifically instructed not to research the case on our own.

Totally correct! Which means you canNOT wave lime green pool noodles around your livingroom pretending the noodle is a bat.

So while she may have made more stops ,she certainly did not have to. Thanks for doing the math Dave.

This has always bothered me. How in the heck can KK see a lump and PRESUME it was a body? The tote was plastic. Wouldn't it just melt? Or buckle and melt? In other words, I can't imagine a melting tote taking on a lump big enough for it to be considered a body.

  • PF collected wood and begin to start a fire and begin to burn that black tote. The remains of KB were allegedly placed. KK says she never saw KB inside the tote but when the fire began to burn she saw a lump.
  • Slater: KB’s body was burned while it was inside the tote

If he was anything like my sweetie, he could have had a couple of clean shirts and a pair of jeans there already. IMHO

Originally I had the impression that the description was that when the tote began to *MELT*, that's when the lump inside the tote became visible. However, now seeing that that's not actually what the phrasing is, I don't know what to think.

A average size human female is 55% water, everything in and including the tote would have melted and burned hours before a body. My thought is KK did see KB after all the other items had burned away from around her as heinous as it is to imagine watching the burn take place.

people have been saying Passat, but it's a Jetta
(mpg- 30-40; 14.5 gal tank)
para #43

[my error: should say para#46]

the essence of the math is the same though- not a lot of fill ups needed

As graphic as it is, what I was picturing was the rigid plastic of the tote becoming flexible as it heated up/started to burn, and sort of drooping/draped itself over the contents inside, making the lump shape.

I googled both types of cars and the first thought for both of them was.....plain.

In which case, could then the melted plastic balls contain DNA particles? Like when an oyster makes a pearl? Make sense? Just asking...
