The teeth are the new cinnamon rolls.

Well she apparently claimed that she thought he had killed before. But I think that is pretty unreliable because its self-serving. She offered that as justification for being afraid of him and thus "had" to follow his plan. Honestly, I doubt he killed before. Based upon this botched killing, I don't think he could have gotten away with a prior killing.
I agree that it's self-serving and it's the way KK typically behaves, the "I'm just a sweet good person who is trying to do the right thing, but bad people make me do bad things". However, with the amount of planning, the fact that PF spent months telling stories to people so they'd believe KB was a horrible drug addict with mental problems, the way PF's family acted after KB went missing and then knowing his mother came out and viewed the bonfire, all makes me wonder if there is more than self-serving stories. I'm not convinced this is his first rodeo.

All the talk of "teeth" reminds me of news report I saw a couple years ago following the search for missing Dylan Redwine that Colorado was home to some of the best cadaver dogs & training in the country.

I found it interesting that dogs were trained to find human teeth apart from the victims. It was also noted that they used old teeth and bones to train the dogs. Any reports if PF worked with cadaver dogs/training?

MOO

I wondered what the dog that signaled next to her car was hitting on. Seems the scent they pick up on can be detected by them even if the body is there for less than 2 minutes. So was the hit by the dog at the car from KK's trash bags, or from the tote that PF set there before putting it in his truck?

Border Collies are used as cadaver dogs, so maybe PF did participate in training some cadaver dogs. All jmo

The white"crate" was seen in the back of PF's red truck caught on the furniture store camera, driving in the direction of KB's condo, LE stated this in their paperwork. I thought the white "crate" could be big, but apparently it was a milk crate, as seen on footage when LE was at the ranch. jmo

eta white crate
That milk crate might be the white box referenced, but I'm not sure. He was caught on camera with the white box in the bed driving in one direction, but it wasn't seen when he was caught later on camera driving the other direction. And instead there was some kind of 'crane' in the back of the truck? What's that about? There's some details here that haven't been looked into. Unknown if they are relevant to the case or not. IMO

Question for our attorneys, if PF had tried to break up with KB and had sought joint custody how would the previous child services issue affected that? In other words, could KB have been awarded sole custody with PF getting only supervised visitation?
The reason I ask is that they found paperwork for custody in the PF's home and I'm wondering if he may have seen an attorney and they told him his chances of joint custody or sole custody were fairly low. So he started spreading it around that KB was mentally unstable, had drug issues and routinely abandoned the child. But he found out that wasn't going to work either because her family knew better so he then decided to kill her.

Maybe somebody planted the teeth......

Ducks and covers

And I'm thinking either they were out in the open or there was an extensive professional search of that house. Must've FBI or CBI doing the search (snark, sorry, I've not been impressed with local LE so far). Like who leaves teeth out casually? I do collect teeth, but they're stored in art drawers, marked dog teeth (and yes, my couple of molars are mixed in there)....

Where did you see the words building a timeline? I have read and read and didn’t see that at all.

ETA it doesn’t really matter what was said or why he said he did it. It was stupid and he got caught moo
It's in the discussion with Bank Manager on Attach "A" of warrant -- "Timeline" is in quotes.

I also recall there was a hit on a sock with blood located inside KB's parked vehicle.

Me either. For many reasons...

I keep coming back to the medications for PF the night before the murder. KB's out there working with the livestock until all hours and then runs into town and back out to the ranch (not a close thing) to bring him medication. Kelsey was such a good person. Keeping up her end of the "partnership" with the overnight livestock care (did Patrick need an onerous task done at the livestock location and wanted one more work shift out of Kelsey? did Patrick think he could off her at the remote livestock location and chickened out?), taking care of Patrick's GI issues--no doubt brought on by his murderous intentions--then playing along with 'what's this scent.' I wonder if she was amazed that Patrick would partake in such a frivolous activity and was pleased with the kinda normal couple interaction right before he knocked her teeth out.
I have pondered that night before as well. I can't imagine what issue with the cattle in the wee hours that there could have been that he needed KB to help him with. I really think maybe he had something planned to kill her out there, but something went wrong and he couldn't do it. Then had to improvise the next day.

I bet he found out he had a snowballs chance in h*** of getting custody when he looked into it at his lawyers in August, so on to plan B starting in September.

Yes, So many false trails were in play, is hard to know which one is the real one!

I do as well wonder and think the same... I even add a thought or two to it...

But how did RS actually know the camera was there? Or am I the only one (even being hyper observant) who either would care if it was there or not look for it? IMHO
They probably thought LE Were lying in wait for PF to pick up package, and nab him then. So this Savant goes to get it that way they don't get PF, but just a friend who 'knows nothink'.
This way PF can flee while friend gets taken in for questioning. and explains he's knows nothink,he's Just a friend doing a favor, and gets released.

I also thought he would have had less to clean and move around if he had done the deed when they were checking the cows. Although if he had killed her out in the woods, he would have had a harder time telling his story of her heading out, seems he was fixated on this scenario from the beginning. Also, he would have been out there with her, so how does he explain that. I doubt she checked cows without him.

Shoot her, move the body as he did anyhow in the way he ended up killing her, have it taken to Idaho and dumped. Push the suicide theory. Just one possible scenario of many. Or body disappears... Etc.

ETA: I still think both guns play some role in this. Whether we will ever know, it is hard to say. The search warrants hint at it though as well...

That incident at the hospital, in and of itself, would not have really affected a custody/visitation order. It could be brought up, but I doubt a judge would have put much weight to it. If either PF or KB had filed for a custody/visitation order, they both would have been granted joint legal custody. Then the court would have either granted one of them primary physical custody and the other standard visitation OR granted shared custody. I don't see any reason that PF couldn't have made an excellent case to be awarded physical custody. Unless there is a breast feeding issue, mothers don't really get special consideration over fathers any more. With KB's travel/commute, and PF's mother being there to help, a judge could have favored PF in a custody case or given shared custody (no child support paid by either).

Those in the envelope could be the ones he picked up from KB home. The single tooth, the one KK picked up. I have no doubt that there are a few secrets she kept in her confession to LE.
Who goes through the effort to put a tooth in an envelope from a crime to keep? It is like the opposite of secrets. Tell everyone, ensure you are on camera, use an expired license plate, make sure to solicit multiple times, get the solicited to clean the crime scene, talk to the teller at the bank, tell her everything, lie about everything, get caught lying, write out a note of who can watch your child that you have no legal guardianship, leave off victim that is the guardian, sell victim's gun, use her phone, take it to a gorge, leave with it, burn in yard instead, on and on.
