I do think there’s quite a bit left to find.

I think we’ll come to learn that they do have solid evidence that Kelsey’s body was disposed of at the landfill.

I don’t think they are searching on a whim.

I'll state it more strongly than that: there's no way they're searching that landfill on a whim.

This search is incredibly costly, and requires a lot of expertise and painstaking effort.

They absolutely have some type of evidence to support that she's in that landfill; otherwise, that search never would have been approved. Too expensive.

JMO.

Let's say the two got away with the murder. Would PF have the guts to dump KK afterwards? How often do partners in a serious crime separate? Wouldn't he prefer to keep her close and their secret contained?
IMO it wouldn't have been very long until KK met with an unfortunate accident.

Thinking of the burn site, does anyone remember the case where Fred Grabbe murdered his wife Charlotte Grabbe and he burned her body in a barrel fueled with diesel underneath a maple tree. The tree showed evidence of the fire. His gf helped. It took two whole nights to burn up the body. I think there was no body ever found, but the tree supported the gf's story. There was evidence of the heat damage to the tree as well as damage to the roots from the diesel.

Totally agree on that !
And she knows it, too. That's why she's squealing.

Yes, I do remember that case and wondered if it would be worthwhile to see if the nearby trees were affected. But here we don't know if the burning was close enough to the trees to affect their growth. Or how close the burning would have to be to affect the trees.

Yeah, I remember that one from Forensic Files.

In this case, KK’s account is supported by visual evidence, and the presence of an accelerant in the soil.

Melted plastic was also found, which helps.

I have not been reading Kelsey’s thread as often...it seems every time I check in, more horrific details have come to light...beyond any imaginings when she first was missing.

Though I admit, from the first day, I felt she was deceased, as her disappearance seemed too unusual for her lifestyle. Still...no one could ever imagine what we have since learned...not sure I can recall a case where someone was more horribly betrayed in so many ways. Jmo

True. Supposedly, the flames got pretty high. I know there were some trees around the house, but I don't know if there were any close enough to the burn site to be affected. But, it took FG (them) two whole nights to burn the body. The first morning after burning, FG took the barrel back home (?), then at sundown, took it back to the same spot and burned it again, then dumped the remains in the river. That's why I'm sure there is a very good chance of LE recovering some of KB's remains. Similar fire, similar fuel, barrel was more closed in, not as open as the trough, so the trough probably didn't retain the heat nearly as well as the barrel, probably never got as hot as in the barrel. Just speculating. Edited for clarity

Yep, I had considered the same thing, especially since the fire was supposed to have attracted SF's attention because it was so high.

I believe he has a court appearance on the 5th of April to make his plea. That’s less than two weeks. Not long until the thread blows up again.
Yeah. If only...

It’s far too serious for anyone to laugh but that would be a great moment for anyone recording it. Will it be televised?

What happens next?

Frazee will face a murder trial in the death of Berreth at an unknown date.

A motions hearing has been scheduled for March 4 and an arraignment was set for April 8 5 at 8:30 a.m., which will give Frazee’s defense attorneys time to go through the more than 3,300 pages of evidence in the case.

Frazee is expected to enter a plea in the case at his arraignment.
Affidavit details events leading up to Berreth’s death

ETA: Judge rescheduled Frazee's criminal arraignment for April 5, (previously April 8) --that's when Frazee will enter a plea and get a trial date.

Although no EMC requests appear on docket for April 5 at this time, "criminal arraignment" is eligible for the Court's consideration for expanded media coverage (EMC).

Keep checking for updates on 2018CR330 The People of the State of Colorado v. Patrick Frazee page....

Found this, for your perusal: Urban Dictionary: hoosegow

ETA: @Kapua beat me to it!
I googled it also PF could be in the hoosegow, pokey, slammer, crossbar hotel, the calaboose and about 20 more.
I wonder if he has earned trustee status or if his charge will keep in reading, coloring and watching tv.

Not sleuthing CC but it doesn't follow that he would have ever employed KK, a nurse.

Also, if KK was still pining over PF as reported, I don't believe she did not know about KB and/or their child until only recently! I believe KK had moles in place keeping tabs on PF for her for years. MOO
I agree , anybody that has a old flame smoldering makes it their business to know what is going on in their lives by hook and by crook.

Sounds like it would be something unpleasant that you might step in while wearing your new snakeskin cowboy boots.
Oh I bet you cannot darken the door without wearing roach kickers. PF feet are going to hurt if he ever gets to wear boots again after wearing those little cheap clod hoppers the jail furnishes.

MG, I am still wondering what his motive was. We have both believed from the beginning it was custody. But I still can’t get over a baseball bat death. How horrifying. Even though he planned this for months, and even though it has been revealed how stupid he is, why use a baseball bat? That speaks to a lot of anger. Why not push someone off a cliff? Or use a gun? Why a baseball bat?
I hope that is one question that the DA asks PF. "Why was your weapon of choice a baseball bat ?"

Don't forget the clink, Hatch! That's a personal favorite.

LNF, I totally agree with you that he's probably had the impulse to kill in the past, but we have to remember:

This is PF we're talking about here.

There is no way, absolutely, positively, no way whatsoever, that PF would have gotten away with killing someone prior to KB without being caught. As we've seen in this case, he's incapable of going undetected.

<modsnipped> I mean that sincerely.

JMO.
I see him more of a slit the trailer tires of competition, give his competitions horse some Bute right before a performance , or perhaps whacking a leg with a tire tool to cripple them before a roping. I think he hides in the dark and does his dirty deeds.

I also have wondered if the pine trees was discolored from the heat of the fire! Or sooted up. If he used diesel and oil it has to have sooted the trees up.

Be nice if we had a tap on the phone calls coming in and out the Franch. Hoping maybe somebody with authority does. I contacted a local and asked if there was much talk about town, they said everything is quite as a mouse. No talk you talk around town or anything.
Sonic reports there sales are down since KK has not been down as often.

I believe PF's first thoughts of killing KB included bludgeoning and I would bet that was the first idea he floated past KK.

I suspect KK, as much as she wanted KB out of the picture, didn't feel the rage that a beating required so she suggested the more passive poisoned Starbucks.

I still think she actually put drugs in the coffee but KB was smart enough not to drink something offered by a stranger at the door. <modsnipped>

Then PF started talking up the bludgeoning again.

MOO
Perhaps they will run across that Starbucks cup while digging.
