I'm thankful they did the interview at a station with video and audio recording.

There will be no wondering what took place.

Cool.

It would certainly be more cost effective to interview her in CS rather than drive her to Woodland Park.

Same for the FBI agents.

Everybody's trying to operate within a budget. MOO

Missed it before I posted, First I’ve seen this clip.
I definitely know nothing about rodeo.

Pole bending? Ummmm
I could Splain pole bending but it is not relevant to KB case.
Adding: search it on You Tube

Gosh @MassGuy you have no knowledge of rodeo queens ?
You are correct in assuming it is likened to Prom Queen.
Haaaaaa. I don’t think we have such a thing in Massachusetts, Hatch.

I promise you this, every time I hear the words “rodeo queen,” I will think of KK.

That’s not a good thing.

Being a Rodeo Queen in my part of the world does not count for anything accept getting to wear the banner in a particular rodeo, it is usually voted on by the rodeo crowd and they pick this one this year because she has never been chosen.
No Big Deal In Texas !
With that said , it is most likely very important to the one chosen as Queen, but a short lived reign.
If being Rodeo Queen is all KK has in her Easter basket
well then Bless Her Heart ! She needs a life skills course
and to get her S--- together ! She is approaching middle age get it together !

So, Hatch, it sounds like you may actually know the answer to the all-important question:

Does the rodeo queen get to wear a tiara with the banner, or is it just the banner?

I don't know anybody who'd want to be named queen just for some dumb paper banner.

The tiara is the critical accoutrement.

JMO.

KK would be more popular in Twin falls than Julia Roberts per KK friend.....:rolleyes:

Well @MassGuy if you see a gal on a horse wearing a banner and a shiny hat ! Run for your life ! We know how KK turned out. Not to take away from the honor other girls that have been chosen at various rodeos and events, some actually earn the title.

I know for a fact agents from the Denver FBI office did not drive to Frederick for every interview w/Watts witnesses. On at least one occasion they interviewed local witnesses at a location midway b/w Denver and Frederick. And as records show LE (CBI?) drove to Boulder to interview NUA at her workplace when she couldn’t be excused.

It made logistical sense from both KK and FBI’s standpoint to have that interview in CO Springs. I suspect she had a police escort from the airport and I would have been a bit surprised if everyone caravaned up to Woodland Park for that conversation. And gobsmacked x 10 if PF’s brother had an iota of influence on the location for her interview.

Usually a western hat with an array of bling on the front. Some I have seen are shaped sort of like a tiara but lay flat to the hat. The one chosen usually has been top in her events and made a lot of rodeos. Most are upstanding hard working ladies.

Puke ! Pommy's little green puke monster .

I dunno. It may be relevant.

Suppose it just depends on whose doing the bending and what poles we're talking about.

Sure seems like KK's bent her fair share of poles.

JMO.
You made me laugh out loud !

I really doubt there is any way to MAKE PF cooperative. He's an island unto himself :) I also doubt a sick, paranoid, angry man cares much about anyone especially the sibling he's estranged from. He might care about his momma, but I'm not convinced of that either. Maybe some of that "anger" is directed at her. JMO

Is he really estranged from them? I think the word is misleading. At least one sister appeared in court, right? And from what I understand, he is not alienated from them.

He cares about himself. 100%. So, there is a way to negotiate with him. He goes to prison for sure. Probably for life. He does not have the choice of the place, but given that he has so many relatives in LE, what kind of a prison do you think he will choose if given a choice? He is a coward. And the more public money is spent on uncovering his deeds, the longer it lasts, the more angry the state of Colorado should feel about the guy.

Yep, I recall that one of NK's interviews took place in Thornton. There are at least three CS locations, I believe. PF's brother worked/works at the Sand Creek Division and I'm pretty sure that was NOT where KK's interview took place. I am more than pretty sure; in fact, I am POSITIVE that SF2 did not instruct, suggest, or influence the FBI in any way as to where to conduct their interview. MOO

The Law of Parties is a concept where you can be held responsible for crimes committed by another if you were part of a conspiracy to commit any crime. For example you and a friend decide to rob a store. You are the look out at the door and your partner goes in to rob it. He ends up shooting the clerk and kills him. You yourself can be found guilty of murder, even though you didn't pull the trigger or even contemplate any violence being committed. Colorado does not have that law specifically, but has other laws that sort of do the same thing. Conspiracy to ....., etc. Typically, under conspiracy or law of parties, capital punishment is not available unless you are the one that actually committed the murder.

Yes, and this is the exact illustration of how it was used in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma man killed three teen home intruders using AR-15 rifle

Thank you for this. It helps me understand the discussion of why she wasn’t interviewed in WP. I don’t know much about CO.
