Would love to know when he hired his lawyer, timing is important in this case, imo.

Especially with a small child.

I’m also curious who is funding the lawyer. In a past thread, someone mentioned that he’s a pretty well known lawyer? So I can’t imagine he’s cheap...

The aunt definitely made the statement. It was posted here on Websleuths early on by her (and removed) and then also posted in a public Facebook group for truckers, which she confirmed posting, here for us.
Yes, I saw that this morning and asked some questions about the nature of their relationship and how she came to learn about the breakup and the potential travelling plans. I hope she drops in soon to answer some questions for us!

Curiosity ...I wonder if KB has a family cabin in one of these areas? Could she have been extremely upset over the break-up? Drove to a remote location (where there is no cell service) and that is the reason for the cell phone being last located in or near Gooding?

If so, how'd she get there since her vehicles are still at her house.

If so, wouldn't family have checked this cabin to make sure she wasn't there before sounding the alarm?

It doesn't seem likely, IMO.

Mommy probably.

I agree.

Plus it’s just not good logic to say “I wouldn’t do that” so x wouldn’t. Every person is different.

And in extreme circumstances, under threat or fear—for example, people do things even they wouldn’t normally do.

Perfect example: if there were two cold cinnamon rolls left at my house, they would probably be left on the stove for anyone to pick at and then eventually we’d throw them out at the next meal. Does that mean if you stopped by my house mid-day any number of Saturday’s this year that you would think an emergency must have unfolded?:)
And I wouldn't go for a 12-hour drive to send text messages from someone else's phone to establish an alibi.

Wait—isn’t a fourth scenario that she sent them herself? I know the most likely scenario is foul play closer to home, but we don’t even have evidence of a struggle at this point.
As I see it, I only see the three scenarios and the police are indicating that due to the many days she is missing, something bad has happened (not their exact words)

She and the baby had them for breakfast by some reports and just because a person lives alone does not mean that they do not cook for themselves and their child.

BTW, it could be the version of Seventh-Day-Adventists' diet, much different from what one would expect from regular cinnamon rolls. Much lighter.

(I am not a vegetarian but I would never eat cinnamon rolls, it is calories and fat).

But maybe KB made the lighter version of them?

This Heavy article says she had ties to Kansas. I don't know what ties there are, if any, and I don't remember Kansas being mentioned anywhere else. This would be better answered by our VI, @Kelsey's Aunt.

"Kelsey has ties to the Pacific Northwest as well as Kansas."

On a site that I subscribe to for background checks, it has a Kansas address and phone number associated with KB, as a prior address of hers

I was wondering that too, about the cinnamon buns. Would she plan to give them to him to take to his family, when he came to drop off the baby? Or maybe take them there herself, if she was going to dinner with them?
Heck all this talk about cinnamon rolls. Probably just a tube of them!!!

Mommy probably.
He claims he is the top two of 1,000 lawyers, but his law offices look like he is not spending much on housing.

May the Lord be close to KB

There surely are other players.

These are two attractive vibrant young people.

Each surely has prior loves .... everybody does

There is a reason KB did not get closer in the relationship to PF ... In 95% of relationships, there is always this 1-off love.

Whether she broke up or not ... there surely was the lurking nature of prior loves, for both.

Holidays are when these issues are confronted ... all over the US.

We must assume, like a fact, there are one or more unnamed "players" in this disappearance.

This opens the possibility that someone other than PF or KB made the texts in Idaho.

A girlfriend trying to get KB out of the picture ... could have harmed her.

A boyfriend from washington, could have visited Colorado and harmed KB.

Maybe PF did it from jealousy ... maybe to be with the other woman.

This is winter. If a body was on the ranch, it would have been found by now ... disturbed winter turf talks.

This body is likely far away.

PF may know ... or have no clue.

LE should forget the search warrant.

There surely is one or more other players here.

They locate the other love interests to these two .... and it will lead direct to KB

I pray for KB

Is she a Mormon?

Right! And again......what would be her mode of travel?

At this point, I don't think I would be surprised if KB suddenly reappeared saying she had been abducted by aliens and then rescued by Space Force. None of this makes a lot of sense, and I know it's likely because LE can't release certain information that may compromise the investigation, but it's still frustrating.

Exactly. Even if you could come up with one, hitchhiking for example, it doesn’t explain LE being unable to track her movements for the three day period after Thanksgiving.

If one leaves willingly, it would be spectacularly odd for their phone to be off for that amount of time, only to send a couple text messages and go dark again.

If you’re planning to harm yourself, you don’t send text messages to work and your “fiancé” and no one else. You also don’t do this after a mysterious time gap.

This had to have been staged.

I don’t think there’s any rules for what a fragile person in a vulnerable state does or doesn’t do.

If you’re hightailing it out of town spontaneously bc you need a break, you just might turn off your phone and give yourself some space. Then when you start to realize you can’t stay gone too much longer without an explanation, you just might send one.

I tend to think she came into foul play, and more likely with PF than anyone else we know of, but I still don’t want to make assumptions. We could all rule out the ping as a false ping or a set up and find out we ruled out the one piece most connected to her whereabouts.

Welcome to Websleuths, jillianelaine. :)

Kelsey's brother said she made the cinnamon rolls for breakfast. She has a 15-month-old daughter, so she's at least a family of two. ♥ I would imagine she planned to eat the rest of them at a later time. Perhaps as snacks?
MOO

I would have totally had them all for breakfast. And any leftovers for the following morning. They are delicious

Agreed. It’s probably not best to look at any situation and think about it in terms of what we would do.

When I look at a case like this, I think about what most people would do.

What is the standard behavior from someone who is innocent, as opposed to someone who has committed a crime?

We can learn a lot from past events and crimes.

I'd throw in "false ping" to cover all bases, although I don't want to revive the discussion regarding how technically possible that might be.
I'm still waiting for an answer on that. It was explained very well by a tech expert in another case but I can't remember what was said. I want to assume it's accurate but when the police commander makes a statement about the possibility of it being a false ping, it tends to cast some doubt.

Ok, why should LE forget the search warrant?

Has there been any contact of PF's parents? Are they on a trip? Maybe they're the ones taking the phone to be pinged remotely? Maybe KB was going to take the baby since they're broken up and all three of the PF family members reacted.
