Yesterday when the chopper was streaming from above the ranch, there was a large, very excited dog, under a tree, behind and to the right of the house. He was restrained in some way, but I couldn't tell if he was leashed, with a handler, or just tied out there, but he was not happy...

I wonder if the police chief and the other LE involved are starting to think about the baby's welfare now? That still bugs me. I would think the minute they decide to truck heavy digging equipment in is the same time they start to take steps to get a 15 month old child into a safer situation.

They only have 3 days but IF they find anything could they not get the search warrant extended??
I certainly would think so. If they have 3 full 24 hours days/nights, that would take them to Monday morning. And the weather is good, so that will not hinder the search.

Jmo but I don’t think they would be digging up his land without having had a dog or dogs indicate. That would be a lot of time and money just to “check”.

Hate to mention this...
Wouldn’t there be traces of body fluids in her home?

Ugh. Not only that possibility, but now I'm wondering if the baby was in the house when (and if) this was going down.

Would he really bury her on the family ranch? If so, this was a crime of passion, imo. He killed her, put her in the barn and then buried her on their property. Took off with her phone and purse - drove to Idaho and got rid of it there. He had to have help....all my opinion
Not sure about crime of passion, but the rest I agree.

Huge piece of equipment. IMO
Depends, they make little ones that are only about 5 feet wide that can fit it tight spaces Doubt that's what they'd bring on the property unless where they are digging is a tight space

I disagree. No one has suggested a prior lover of KB's might be responsible. There is, of course, a remote possibility of what you are suggesting, but PF, his lawyer, and no one in KB's family has made any mention of someone who might be obsessed with her. I think LE is searching PF's property because he said he saw her last and he heard from her last.

EVERYBODY has a least one prior love interest.

Sometimes we are not even aware.

KB, attractive, vivacious and at the age of 27, moved alone to Colorado.

We should be certain there was 1 or 2 love interests wherever she moved from.

This can not be taken off the table.

Nor taken lightly

Just the existence of a past lover, could have been enough to upset PF.

It is not outside reason that one of these interests could have contacted her ... and inspired her to rethink her life.

We are likely to discover emotions led to this tragedy ... quite likely that PF let emotions spiral ... and most likely related to old or new love interests.

I wonder: If there was a blood-less semi-struggle (she's only 5'3" and 110#?) in her home, he left with only the baby, went back after dark (which is around 5pm here) to get her and then did things and drove places.
MOO
I
can imagine the situation of her telling him something about spending the Thanksgiving with someone, and him shaking her neck, or something similar, not realizing the strength he had. I don't feel it was premeditated, if it happened. Rather, a domestic violence gone tragic situation. MOO

But leaving a corpse in the house is dangerous. Although during Thanksgiving, lots of things can happen.

what's the legalities on flying a drone over his property?
I believe it depends on the drone operator (commercial pilot, govt employee, or hobbyist) for which FAA rule applies, but I'm sure the property owner's consent is also required. I recall LE obtained Anadarko consent prior to flying drone when searching for S Watts. (near Greeley, Co).

1. It has been asked here if PF had access to a family cabin. What PF may have is access to and great familiarity with is range leases (large parcels, frequently Federal land) where cattle are "grown". That said the parcel where PF lives is too small and shows no evidence for a cattle operation either range or feedlot. But more likely PF is a cattle broker rather than a cattle producer.

2. In rural areas the large ranches may have a private airstrip. I don't think it would be that hard for flights of a small private plane to avoid documentation of travel. Refueling would be the most likely spot to find air traffic of this sort. Bet PF knows all sorts of people in the cattle business with small planes.

3. Is PF also a private pilot (but not commercial like KB)? Maybe PF lured KB with the idea of their having a Thanksgiving joy ride in a borrowed small plane?

4. PF is unbelievably stupid if KB is buried on his mother's property but authorities are busy digging today.

I didn’t see any record of PF having a pilot’s license of any kind

Cadaver dogs would alert to that

I am trying to find the original post.

Is it that he’s smart, or is it that he’s being advised by family members? Who better to advise you how to protect yourself when dealing with LE, than people who work in LE?

MOO. IMHO.

Yes, but you don't want to bring your family members down, either, especially since you might need LE's help later.

Where are you Kelsey? Give us a sign. Something, anything to go on. A shout out to all Le hard at work. Hopefully they find what they need for an arrest.

I considered the phone was ditched in a passing by truck/semi.

@Kelsey's Aunt we really appreciate your presence and availability on Websleuths. The previous thread was closed before I could reply...can you please clarify what your “no” was directed at? Another Bf? The trip? Or no you can’t clarify? Tyia

Any word from Kelseys Aunt? She breezed by quickly this morning but was only here for a short time. Maybe she knows more about what's going on. I hope we didn't scare her off.
