well, it's very common for abusers to believe they love their children and yet do everything in their power to destroy the child's other parent. I'm not claiming PF is abusive, but this is the type of situation where you see this behavior - arranging everything to your benefit, hurting others and believing you are a good person. and being so arrogant that you believe no one else sees through it.

To be fair to the media and everyone questioning PF, it isn’t at all that he isn’t out in front of cameras giving his side that makes everyone look at him sideways. It is that he isn’t even giving the police his side. He isn’t talking to them or cooperating at all it seems. He apparently loves his kid so why won’t he help find her mom?

DH has a newer Tacoma and did not opt to get Safety Connect added to his truck. So I'm not sure if it's even on PF truck.
Whoa. That’s great info. How do you know this? (That he didn’t opt to get Safety Connect?)

Another thing we do not know is really what kind of mother KB was since only her mother has vouched for her , PF has not made a detailed statement one way or the other we really don’t know. MOO

Mothers (and fathers) with children , even small children, commit suicide. I’ve known two and even many years later everyone who knows them and still asks how could they have left their child(ren)??? Both cases they were well known to be very active parents too and completely in love with their kids. And both parents did it somewhere where it took a very long time to find their bodies.

Parents also have been known to disappear from their children out of the clear blue sky. Sometimes they resurface decades later alive and well. They just wanted a whole new life for whatever reason.

KB’s text from Idaho to PF and her employer may not have been buying a perpetrator time before the investigation started ....the texts could’ve been buying her time to start a new life. JMO

Yes statistically she probably did meet Foul play but there have been many, many cases where people just disappear. There was even a TV series about such cases. It was called Disappeared. I highly recommend it. (I’m sure many WS folks have seen it , discussed it prior )

My mind has not stopped thinking about this case for days. Today I’ve been thinking through all of the possible scenarios to see if there is a reasonable one, given the fact we know, that does not include PF. In the shower this morning I came up with one!

ASSUMPTIONS:

PF and KB really do have just a custody share arrangement. As many have pointed out based on timing it seems that she may have gotten pregnant early into their “relationship”. And perhaps she told her mom they were engaged for religious/reputation reasons.

SCENARIO POSSIBILITY:

As Thanksgiving was approaching, PF and KB discussed custody for the holiday weekend – as many couples do. (Many couples that share custody alternate holidays and it is usually for more than just one day). She said he could have her as she was making plans with someone else.

Someone else is a co-worker or associate from work. They make plans – she is making cinnamon rolls and getting recipes for him. Of course, she is very vague with her mom about maybe getting a tree, maybe having dinner plans. She is not going to tell her super religious mom that she has no plans to marry her baby daddy and in fact has a separate boyfriend/love interest!!

Co-worker/love interest picks her up, says lets go to dinner – or whatever – she grabs her purse and phone and gets in his car. He abducts her. They take off. She’s kidnapped or killed, either scenario could be possible. The kidnapper realizes that at the end of the holiday weekend – Sunday 11/25, people will start to wonder if they don’t hear from her or she doesn’t show up at work, so the kidnapper/work associate knows about her work – as that’s where he met her – and knows about her baby’s father, because he has been getting to know her. So, those are the two people he thinks will expect her Sunday night/Monday morning so he sends the texts to buy some time.

If this is what happened, this work associate may have also been off the following week or no showed or if it’s a contractor or student, the employer wouldn’t know if that person’s schedule was off. And she would be dead or alive in ID or there abouts.

WAYS THIS MAY NOT ADD UP:

Search warrant evidence – what evidence did the police use to be able to get a search warrant. Does that discount this theory?

Lack of PF’s cooperation – Is PF not cooperating fully because he just watched the Watts case go down and knows he’s the most likely suspect and doesn’t want to get entrapped? Also, what would his LE family advise him to do?

........Ok I'm off to prepare my house for our big holiday party, but I'll check in later and look forward to hearing some thoughts on this possibility.

true, but I perceive "come forward" as an implication of accountability - whether you are a witness with info or otherwise. to share what you know and/or take responsibility. they use come forward to address people they have not yet identified as witnesses. But to use it with a known person seems like a stronger statement than "pleading with PF to sit down and talk with them".

With all due respect, I have heard LE ask witnesses to “come forward” to share whatever they may know many times.

I do think it’s interesting that PF isn’t trying to control or defend himself in the public narrative. Certainly many in his own community—maybe even neighbors who are sharing photos of excavators entering his property—are probably concerned about him and his involvement and he is doing nothing to assure them.

Does he intend to continue living there under such a cloud of suspicion? Or does he really believe he will be cleared in time and is just waiting?

PHOTOS: The Disappearance of Kelsey Berreth

New information released on case of missing mother whose phone was last pinged in Idaho | East Idaho News
Wait, what?

Police contacted Berreth’s fiancé, Patrick Frazee, who said Berreth dropped off their daughter at his home on Nov. 22. The last time he says he heard from her was Nov. 25 and their child is still in his custody, according to detectives.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but did she drop the baby off or did PF pick her up?

Hey Sharon, both have been reported unfortunately, but the aunt who is a Verified Insider suggested that he picked the baby up. Now she may have gotten that info through Kelsey’s mom who got it from PF...

So until there is confirming testimony or video footage, I am not sure we know 100%. Most sources say he picked her up though.

That's the question of the year. Only two people know for sure. KB can't say anything at the moment and PF won't say anything.

Which leads me to wonder why? Would really be interested to see who exactly did the check, and what exactly is in the Report concerning that.
I'm not sure if that story was accurate. Just saw a post that said it was wrong. Maybe they are confusing the text messages with a welfare check? I would like to know what their source was.

I am hoping that if he and baby K have passports, that LE has taken posession of them.
Would they be able to legally do that? Last I heard he wasn't named even an official "person of interest." So I don't know if having served someone a search warrant for their property is enough to be able to take their passport. But I'm not a lawyer so I don't know the logistics and procedures of taking someone's government issued ID.

We only know (LE included) what he has told people. There seems to be two stories out there, but he apparently told LE that he picked up the baby from her.
I think that he has told two different versions and that is why suspicion has fallen on him.

B, C, and/or D
A,B,C,D.
If there was a crime committed.
IMO The original crime happened where baby was 'passed off', then the cover up would have began. Ie hiding things, body, purse, phone, sending messages, ( that crosses state lines) right there.
Moo.

Search at fiance’s home complete, no sign of Kesley Berreth
“We still have not found Kelsey,” De Young said in the latest press release from law enforcement.

The search, which at one point involved the help of a backhoe , was completed Saturday and the property was turned over to Frazee.

Investigators are continuing to conduct interviews as De Young stressed the case “remains our number one priority.”

Details about what investigators were searching for at the home have not been released.

I wonder if the family and LE just took PF's word for it? It would fit with his story that she took a 1 week trip that her phone pinged in Idaho. That would have been intentional to support the trip story. The phone could have traveled to Idaho unbeknownst to the driver if PF slipped it into a car or truck that he knew would be traveling a distance.
But has it been confirmed anywhere that PF's story is that she took a 1 one week trip? (I know Kelsey's aunt has said he told them she was going to Washington). But other than that, have we heard ANYTHING what PF said about where Kelsey could be, what she told him, what the text to him said??

I do feel he probably did tell her family something like this. And he gave his phone to LE. But has never sat down with them. I'm just trying to keep all the known facts straight for myself in this case, and I don't think we have ever heard that PF claimed she took a one week trip. What we have heard is that her work received a text on 11/25 advising that she wouldn't be at work the next week, and that Kelsey's aunt said that PF told her family that she said she was going to visit a relative in Washington. We don't know what the 11/25 text message from KB's phone to PF said.

(It could very well have said that she was traveling for the week.)

not sure if this is allowed, but is it me or is there something in his eyes that just makes your skin crawl? I know that's an obscure and vague way to evaluate someone, but there is something there that screams to me. I know it's a strange angle as the camera is above and they are looking up, but yikes - the creep factor!

Yes! If I was her family and or her aunt, I would want this photograph with him in it to be plastered and shared in the media. Folks may have not seen her, but they may have seen him.

I think people were confused early on because mom’s call on the 2nd is what prompted police to go back and search records and discover the ping on the 25th. The record of the ping might have been discovered the same day as she reported it, then, but the ping happened much earlier.

Mom didn’t ask for the welfare check until the second, according to the first presser and according to the timeline on the police flyer.

No, I can't see any creep factor there.

Is this going to end like the Kyron Horman case? His stepmother lawyered up and answered no questions. Now it's been years and she has gone on with her life. I don't get this.

Yes. Similar case to Michelle Parker too. Her husband, the last one to see her, made one quick statement and then stonewalled, legally. Sky Metallwa's [sp] abusive mother did the same thing.

I have no reason to believe he has told two different versions. Do you? (Not challenging you, just trying to find out which it is and where the two versions come from.)
