I must say I’m very disappointed in all this secrecy with the trial. I wanted to listen to the opening arguments and watch the faces of the accused / family. I’ve been away from her thread for awhile following other DV murders but am anxious to follow as much as we are going to be allowed - KB needs justice IMO
It seems to me they will eventually have to publish a transcript of the trial
But I'm guessing

As to the bolded----I doubt that anyone who regularly posts on this thread knows any of the above mentioned.

I think people are taking sides according to the info, evidence and facts that we have heard so far.

Pretty hard to take PF's side, after hearing about various past actions, even before the alleged killing.

The timeline doesn't work for him either. KK was not in town in time for the murder.

Well, I'm on pins and needles anticipating testimony by the Teleportation expert.

BBM:

No, and there's only one way to find out:

You're going to need to call him and ask him where he got his information.

@Seattle1 is busy liaising with Sam...she can't do everything!

IIRC, You're the one who volunteered to go on "Spargo Watch" for the thread.

We're all counting on you. 1-800-GET-SPARGO.

And, if, stressing IF, this report is true, this is HUGE news.
PF's team, only calling 2 witnesses?
So telling.
So very, very telling.

JMO.
Only 2 witnesses.
I'm imagining the defense envisioning who they can call as a witness. Hmmm, got no one.
Wait that'll look really bad. We'd better call someone....

They will and you will most likely have to buy it. I am sure some media outlet will purchase it. Still no substitute for seeing the actual looks when KK and PF go eyeball to eyeball. Priceless !!

Does anyone have a fricken clue where legendary reporter, Chris Spargo, got this from? I get why the defense wouldn’t call his mom to the stand, but this makes it seem set in stone that they won’t call her.

The defendant meanwhile only plans to call two witnesses to the stand it seems, both of whom are investigators for the public defender's office.

Frazee will not call his mother to testify nor does it appear that he will take the stand in his own defense.

It is not surpise that Frazee would want to stay quiet as he previously asked that remarks he made to one official the day after Christmas be stricken from the record.

Spargo obviously got his information by misreading "Endorsement of Defenses and Witnesses PD" dated 9-18-2019. In it, Adam Steigerwald names two detectives of the Colorado Public Defenders Office AND "5. All witnesses endorsed by the prosecution in their various witness endorsements."
At last count, I believe the prosecution had named 255 potential witnesses. The defense is naming 257 potential witnesses, of which two are not shared. IMO

257 potential witnesses. Interesting!

Damn straight. A verdict of not guilty would likely carry the added blow of PF being able to accomplish exactly what he hoped to achieve.

Sole custody.

Ain't gonna happen though.
+1 to that d@mn straight

So I wanted to say something last night but I fell asleep on the couch instead.
As usual, PF did a poor job trying to accomplish something.

He wanted to erase KB from this world...but instead, he has made her famous.
He thought he could throw her away because he didn't care, instead more people care for her and her family that he could ever know.
He thought he could kill her spirit, but instead she lives on in the hearts of thousands of people across the world.
He thought she didn't matter...but she does.

And he has accomplished the opposite for himself.

Does anyone know if there is a list of the witnesses names? I'm curious....

In the case of the murdered McStay family, there was a boatload of evidence against the killer--much of it was cell ping data. Including the travels of the killer , placing him near the remote area the family was buried. And spending hours at various casinos, using stolen money from the victim.

The defence team spent a lot of time and money on various experts, who tried to debunk the cell ping data, and they tried to say it said something different from what the detectives said. It got very confusing and was basically high tech expert vs high tech expert ---which in the end, the jury ignored, in my opinion.

I think the defense here is going to do similar things against the state's theory of the cells moving together. And they will try to debunk the states theory that KB's cell left with PF on Thanksgiving day. JMO

I believe the you are correct that the defense intends to refute the conclusions of LE about the cell phone evidence, but "PEOPLE’S NOTICE OF INTENT TO INTRODUCE SELF-AUTHENTICATING DOCUMENTS (P-12)" dated 8-19-2019 was agreed upon by both legal teams in the hearing, and verbally approved by the judge. It states that the cell phone records will be introduced as self-authenticating documents, not requiring expert testimony to verify. IMO

Either legal team can call any endorsed witness. For tactical reasons that I don't understand, the prosecution chose to name every possible testifier as a prosecution witness. The hazard of this tactic is that it leaves the defense in a position in which they aren't required to identify which of those witnesses that they may call. The result is exactly what we see.........an enormous endorsement list, with neither side knowing who is going to be called by their opponent. IMO

Ha! Gotta give him credit for that. He closes every article with that same line:

She then went to eat at a nearby Sonic.

This is a surprise. First no cameras then no live reporting. And now no sketch artist. How can drawings of the defendant adversely affect a trial? #PatrickFrazee #kelseyberreth

This is actually a case of 1st Amendment vs 4th. Which had more clout Freedom of the Press or right to fair trial? @CoFOIC #patrickfrazee

The denial of EMC happens. The denial of a sketch artist & live-reporting seem excessive.
