KB's mom CB finally can open up and explain the situation. as hard as this is i think it might also be a release she has needed for nearly a year. i wonder though if she is opening a credibility issue though because back when this happened i remember her saying something to the effect of that they loved each other and had some issues between them, like all couples do, that they were working out, but no hint of what she now claims. and on the stand, at least as much as i've read, seems to paint a picture of a relationship that lacked love from the PF family side from the beginning. i hope i'm not coming across as adverse to CB because i'm criticizing CB just trying to understand if her testimony jives with what she has said before.
She was playing a game.

She had to play nice in order to retain access to baby K, as PF was the gatekeeper.

Her coming out and blasting him in the media would have been the worst thing she could do. She couldn’t predict when law enforcement would figure this out, and she had to bide her time.

Plus, she’s way too classy to come out firing anyways. She’s doing it on the stand, just by answering truthfully.

I think the reason that CB was careful in the very beginning not to bring up the negative things she knew about PF and his family and how they treated KB can be explained very easily:

At that time, he still had custody of Baby K. Baby K. was still at the franch, and PF was not letting the B's have any access to her whatsoever.

I think CB didn't want to say anything that would cause PF and the rest of the clan that would alert them to just how much she knew about PF and KB's problems.

She knew, as we all do, how vindictive and violent PF is when he doesn't get his way.
She was in the delivery room when Baby K. was born.
She saw him lose control and go off.

We now know CB had her suspicions almost right away that PF was responsible for KB's disappearance, and that he'd harmed KB.

But suspicions aren't proof, and Baby K. was with PF.
There was no guarantee whatsoever that she and KB's dad were going to be awarded custody at that point.
She had to think of the baby and the baby's safety first.

JMO.
Exactly! And...it was fresh on her mind and heavy on her heart that her daughter's blood was found around the home.

Now, add the fact that CB may have been told about all the blood behind the cushions, something we only found out about yesterday.

PF cannot walk out of this situation and get custody of Baby K! No!

KK can have her "walk", as long as PF goes away forever.

It was basically a hit and run. Kelsey is unstable, the police aren’t doing anything, the media is lying, Patrick is a loving father, help get the word out, blah blah blah.

I politely asked her why her family wasn’t helping in the search efforts, to which she responded something to the effect of “pray for Kelsey.”

She also said that all this attention would make Kelsey scared to return home.

The best was the pleading “Until then Kelsey we know you need help and your baby is being taken care of. We can promise you that.”

“Please God bring Kelsey home!”

Remember, this was likely the one who made her stay on the porch when she was there.

Yes, a game. Chess.... She had to be strategic.

It could have crossed her mind PF did this, but, after we heard how MaF and daughter emotionally abused KB, it could have crossed her mind that these women did this. They had baby K... She had to be strategic.

I think what CB said to the cops was probably very different from what we heard her say to the media and in those media interviews. JMOO . . ..but PF still had the baby during that time and after seeing his angry outbursts at the hospital when the baby was born, she was probably having to be very cautious with her words to keep the baby safe and in hopes of KB's safe return. Can't imagine how hard that was for her. Keep up the good work CB. You're a good mom!

I'm sure we can all use that extra hour of sleep tonight after the busy, eventful week we've had here on Kelsey's thread...and we're going to need to rest up for the upcoming weeks left in the trial.

BBM.
We concluded a few pages back that pine box would be too good for PF. After prison hell is unleashed on PF for the rest of his life, votes were:

PF’s body to be thrown in stinky swamp (credit to @Steelslady)
Or thrown in volcano (credit to @GordianKnot)

Then PF spends eternity in “The most select place in Hell reserved for men who hurt women and children." (Again, credit to @GordianKnot)
I'm partial to GK's volcano suggestion. Hell on earth :)

The public (like the media) is allowed in if seats are available after both families are seated, so yes you could.
6:28 PM - 2 Nov 2019

(In response to the questions, "Is anybody allowed to go into the courtroom? Like if I was to drive up there would I be allowed to go sit in the courtroom?")

Agreed. She had one law enforcement officer's cell number---cause she texted pictures of blood to him. So you know there was heavier conversations with LE.

I understand your thoughts on this, but as others have stated, CB was walking a very thin line during the time frame around the press conference she spoke at.

CB exhibited the same grace and restraint under pressure as Laura Wallen's parents did as they sat beside LW's fiancé Tyler Tessier ( when LW was missing as they pleaded publicly for help finding her), who was later arrested for her murder and committed suicide right before his trial started, IIRC Found Deceased - MD - Laura Wallen, 31, pregnant, Olney, 3 Sept 2017 #1 *Arrest*

CB knew much more than she let on during that press conference, and I'm sure LE guided her and advised her on what to say at that critical time.

Now the awful truth will come out during PF's trial.

ETA: CB, IMO, was absolutely crucial in getting LE back to KB's condo once she arrived there and noticed things missing, out of place, and then found blood on the toilet. I cannot imagine what she and CB2 (and Mr. B) have gone through.

Would he run with the child? Would he hurt the child? LE as well as CB were not risking anything.....
I have always believed that the day he was arrested at shortly after 7a.m., that he and mommy dearest were making a run for it with baby K. Unless LE tell me otherwise, that was and is my gut feeling. THEY were not going to relinquish baby K to CB under any circumstances. Luckily, it was not their choice.

I'm not up on the situation of the arrest. I know temporarily MaF was handcuffed. But did they have the baby with them??

I’ve thought a lot about KB and her mom today - her grace is astounding and admirable to me - through the absolute worst weeks of her life she put the baby first - I don’t know that I could have held back.
I still believe the only family the baby should know is CB’s

Ya know many months ago I was visiting a friend whose mother went into the hospital. I would stay up late taking care of things. Several nights I was on here. I remember thinking at the time "lady you are rude and crazy." I was talking about PF's sister.

Little did I know.....

I'm sure we can all use that extra hour of sleep tonight after the busy, eventful week we've had here on Kelsey's thread...and we're going to need to rest up for the upcoming weeks left in the trial.

We're all on Colorado time now.
Time for justice!
Time for the Frazees to suffer the humiliation and the sense of loss Kelsey and her family felt.
Time to hear the evil words spoken in that wretched franch outed in front of their community and the world.
Time for the Berreths to know they did everything for Kelsey and Baby K they could, then to go home and live the happiest life possible.
Time for our heartfelt prayers.

Guys & Gals, Who do you think the prosecution will call to the stand after CB? Will they continue along establishing who Kelsey is or do you think they'll start into LE aspect?

  • #1,479
Wasn't mentioned, but CB basically confirmed that they bought the condo for KB so wouldn't be odd that they had keys.

Edit: oops I quoted the wrong person, but you get the point.

SF noticed when she was pregnant with Kaylee.
This is how it got brought up.
CB was talking about SF finding out KB was pregnant
Viehman: Pregnant with Kaylee, correct?
CB: Yes, but KB was pregnant the year before but lost it around Thanksgiving.
No mention if SF knew about first pregnancy.
Thank you. I wonder if MaF knew about the first pregnancy. I bet if she did, she blew a gasket (cripes, I almost wrote casket.....jeebus) both times.
