Sam is the best. I love how he takes you through the whole day chronologically and in great detail.

Sam says KK called her herself "Cassie Johnson" when she was asking KB for a Playdate with their children :|

Sam notes..

Defense points out that instead of calling police about PF's first solicitation, KK felt the need to "build rapport" with KB by bringing her Starbucks. Used fake name and persona. "Cassie Johnson". Asked about having a playdate with KB and baby K. I believe it was KB who said, she would have to ask her fiancé.

2nd solicitation, KK drove all the way there, sat in a Walmart parking lot to "think about it." Called PF. He told her to drive to Florissant. Basically the defense is pointing out every op KK had to alert authorities, say something and she didn't.

KK drove down with a baseball bat. Defense attorney said, "She wasn't coming down to play in a softball tournament."

Sam notes...

Defense ran through questions very quickly. He started with her plea deal. Evidence tampering lowest level charge in Colorado. She didn't plead guilty for cleaning up blood. She didn't plead guilty to sending texts from KB's phone.

Defense ran through questions fast. Didn't even really wait for answers. Seemed to try to be putting pressure on her. KK was emotional. Went through the three solicitation attempts. Defense kept asking her if she knew what the sentences would be for all those charges. She kept saying no. He is hitting on the fact that her plea deal is considerably favorable to her given her role in this. She hasn't been in jail. Hasn't been ordered to stay in Colorado.

He pointed out she first talked to police on December 20. She claimed she wanted KB's family to know what happened, she never stepped forward until December 20.

BBM - I really wish she'd quit that justification. It rings so hollow. I worry about it alienating at least one juror. Ugh. Though, I do think there's enough evidence even if they write off KK, but this is point I start getting nervous.

Are jurors allowed to ask questions during the trial?

I wish there were a reporter who knew the lost art of shorthand. Then we'd have ALL of it, every day.
I know. Shorthand would certainly come in handy for times like this. Much faster, too, than trying to type on little phones. JMO Give me shorthand any day- faster and you have all the details in front of you.

Lol knowing what we now know I might have paid my own court reporter to sit there but the judge would probably have a fit - they aren’t that expensive (hourly rate here) it’s the transcription that costs a lot IMO

These trips where KK would come down involve 24 hours of driving. KK had family over, work, on call, etc, but dropped everything after that "you have a mess to clean up" call. For two days that mess sat there and KK didn't tell anyone. She brought hair net, cleaning supplies, etc, drove through the night for Patrick. Never stopped on the way down to call her family, husband, police. PF tells her at one point that there's a lot of blood. She still drove another six hours to get there.

KK told jury that "KB's family should never have to see this, but they should know what happened." And so.... she cleaned it up.

She talks about blood everywhere. Put a towel over kitchen window even though it had been uncovered since crime happened.

I believe Stein's interview indicated she knew what the creature had done because, remember, she claimed she told the creature not to go to Colorado?
Yeah, didn't Krystal borrow her car (to which her tag and registration was not current), the same car that had Stein's gun in it, to which when Krystal brought it back, she noticed that a bullet had been fired or was it missing?

Bombshell

UPDATE: Two young men, at least one of them a teenager, testify at the #PatrickFrazee trial that they unwittingly helped cover up a burn area at Frazee's ranch, where prosecutors say #KelseyBerreth's body was burned.

Sam notes..

Defense attorney tells her "you knew exactly what needed to be said" - to get her plea deal.

Defense pointing out the ridiculousness of all the times that KK didn't want to get caught, but then claims she turned on KB's phone to leave her breadcrumb clues.

When police showed up first time to talk to her, she lied. She didn't tell them about any of the solicitation attempts either. He notes again that KK is keeping this crime from everyone.

KK says abortion was her decision, that she lied to PF about a miscarriage.

Basically that KK lies, lies, lies and is lying to avoid prison. And that was end of cross examination. A little over an hour. Very tense. Very back and forth.

He’s done.

The two young men also testified that they helped #PatrickFrazee dispose of a metal trough that prosecutors say Frazee used to burn #KelseyBerreth's body. Frazee never told them anything other than wood and deer or elk antlers were burned in the fire.

@scdiv really well done thanks !

The trees were about 13 feet high where the burning was located for anyone wondering!

PF claimed that he burned deer antlers in the trough, and Sam believes this could have been used as a cover if the boys found any bones.
