So PF told both boys that Sheila came outside during the fire, which corroborates what KK said as well.

Haaaaa. And his mommy DID yell at him, which I jokingly speculated about earlier:

“Patrick! What did I say about playing with Fire?! Put that fire out, and get to your room! You and I are going to have a little talk in the morning.”
AND, whose that hooker with you? :)

I wonder if she'll shock us all, like Patrick's brother did, and tell the truth. We all better alert our families as to where the smelling salts are located, in case they find us all on the floor, passed out from shock.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say NOPE.

Sam read a list of the questions that the jurors had for KK. I didn’t write them down, but they left me with the impression that the jury was mostly focused on obtaining clarity for how this all went down, as opposed to questioning KK’s story.

They seem to have pretty much taken her at face value, atleast based on the questions.

Maybe she can get a clerical job in the medical field...not front office. Maybe a driver who picks up blood/specimen samples for testing.
Transporting dog semen sounds like a good fit for her.

Patrick Frazee trial: Star witness stands ground under cross-examination, declaring, 'It's the truth'
[...]

“That’s the story that you had to tell those agents to get your plea deal, is that right?” asked Adam Steigerwald, a public defender.

“I had to tell them the truth,” Krystal Lee replied.

[...]

The attorney pointed out that the plea deal spared Lee from being charged with far more serious charges, including attempted murder and accessory to murder. Lee pleaded guilty in February to evidence tampering, and faces from three years in prison to just probation.

“So you were looking at essentially the rest of your life in prison, did you know that?” Steigerwald asked, his voice rising.

“I did not,” Lee replied quietly.

[...]

“Just in case it’s not, you brought a hairnet? You brought a box of rubber gloves? You brought shoe covers? You brought a full body suit? You brought bleach?” Steigerwald asked. “But you were hoping this was a trick?”

Each time, Lee replied, “Yes.”

[...]

For two days, Lee wept, dabbed her tears with tissues and occasionally sobbed as she recounted the killing and its cover-up.

[...]

Until Thursday afternoon, when prosecutor Jennifer Viehman asked Lee to point out the man who beat Berreth to death with a baseball bat.

Rising slightly, Lee turned right and pointed straight at Frazee. He stared back at her, sitting expressionless with his defense team in a blue striped button-up shirt and khakis.

[...]

Two teenagers later testified that they unwittingly helped cover up the burn area with dirt from near Frazee’s driveway, at Frazee’s request. They also said they helped dispose of the trough, and one of them helped load a trash can that apparently contained ashes from the fire.

Frazee never told them anything other than wood and deer or elk antlers were burned in the fire, the teens testified.

Lee said she left to drive back to Idaho while it was still burning.

[...]

Even as the onslaught of questions from Frazee’s attorney continued, Lee’s responses grew more confident — and at times, defiant.

Steigerwald asked: Is her story — her testimony over the last two days — going to keep her out of prison?

“It’s the truth,” Lee replied.

I’m hoping they are all like “most” of us. They see her for what she is, and it ain’t purdy, but the evidence is what it is and she has solidified the evidence. It gives me a nice fuzzy feeling about them.

Yeah. My overall feeling is that it went way better for her than expected. The defense didn’t land enough meaningful blows to discredit her.

I got the exact same impression from the questions from the jury that were posed to her..

this.

Basically they got out that yah she's a liar and yah she didn't come forward until a plea deal. But they couldn't and they didn't discredit any of the actual murder plot/cleanup whatever.

Edit to say: I thought the cross-exam on her would be a lot worse/harder on her than it was.

Agreed. Her testimony aligns with the evidence. The evidence cannot be denied. Steigerwald has a sinking ship. MOO

It gets harder and harder by the day for the defense to do anything.

The evidence is piling up, and there is corroboration on top of corroboration.

For instance, the account of the fire by KK. Today it was corroborated by two independent witnesses.

And we still haven’t heard about what the physical evidence shows.

I'm not surprised the cross was short. I was thinking this morning, I would HATE to be a defense attorney and have to come up with questions to ask her. You would have to be careful because you wouldn't want to have her repeat anything she said, or God forbid, remember more damning details. What could he do other than focus on the plea deal? There is at least some chance, however infinitesimal, that the jury could think she is completely unreliable due to the deal she got.

I mean you make good points but how on earth are they going to create the narrative that she killed Kelsey on another day elsewhere?

I can’t imagine dingbat PF testifying.

She said she told the truth now, because she finally felt safe enough to tell it. She also said the Berreth family deserved to know.

Do you think they'll bring that tote back (or leave it there) to prove a 100 pound woman could fit inside....by having one demonstrate?

Um not sure, I don't think they'd need to prove it. It's quite obvious by looking at it in person. We could probably stuff PF's tall 🤬🤬🤬 in there.

But just to make sure I'd imagine they'd show that?

It doesn't make it any easier to hear it in court, from the person who cleaned up their daughter's blood, threw away her Bible, her baby's things, etc and helped burn her. For all the world to hear and see after the reporters post it on Twitter and their stories after court.

Hearing it come from Krystal's mouth, that Patrick, their daughter's boyfriend, told her that their daughter/sister said "Please stop", her last words and plea to him, had to be just devastating.

Mr. Berreth broke down today when seeing the photo of his granddaughter holding her little arms up, as Krystal described the things that she threw away and helped burn of Baby K's, because there was blood on them. Obviously, if this man heard it before, it still doesn't take away that anguish and hell he's going through, hearing his daughter's last moments out of the words of a disgusting sidekick of the murderer.

How does a parent or sibling prepare for such emotions? Just because they may have heard it before, doesn't mean they won't have any emotional reaction hearing it again.

Add to that Patrick telling KK their smart, loving daughter was only good for doing his grunt work.

I despise him more with every word out of his despicable mouth.

Sam notes...

Viehman on redirect... Did PF kill KB... yes... Did PF tell KK that he killed KB... yes. Did you kill KB... no..

KK bought burner phone at PF's request.... she said she bought 2. She texted KB from a burner phone under her "Cassie Johnson" persona. She asked KB if she wanted to go for coffee. KB said NO!!!!!

Smart girl.
KK blames PF for everything which is no surprise. But why would PF request KK get a burner phone when he was contacting her via the ranch's landline? Her entire testimony seems to be total deflection and embellishment. I think the jury is going to have a very hard time trying to figure out what is true and what isn't.

I look forward to LE testimony about how much blood evidence the chemical analysis uncovered in the condo.

I don't know, but do folks usually tote tools in there?... or can they tote like Elk or deer when they hunt and stuff?
