Curious to see if they move him out of state for prison like Watts. I’m just getting out of the Midwest right now. Darn cold up there. Assuming he is a “Colorado Native” , I am hoping he is banished somewhere with harsh , overcast winters (even though he won’t see much daylight anyway). You know, I've been wondering about this too. How could SO MANY people have known SO much and not one came forward to protect KB. I think it's speaks loudly of the morals of the area or at least the morals of those who PF surrounded himself with.

“Well, exactly”! I also heard recaps for more than one friend of PF say they didn’t say anything because they didn’t want to betray his confidential conversations. I believe these people have their mores all skewed.

I think he was already starting to see little kb as an inconvenience. He's starting to want to date again. And I wouldn't doubt if he would have planned an accident for her as well....

We will all have certain take-aways from this case that we wont soon forget. For me, one of the things I wont ever forget is how he so carelessly handled the child as he was getting in his red truck. To me, he was treating her like a rag doll with no care for the well being of the child.

I can only imagine some of the bad parenting things he may have done while trying to be the child's parent.

And I honestly do think the child's life was in danger until KB's Mom was finally able to take her away. That was a huge sigh of relief when the B's were able to take her into safety.

We have seen too many cases where someone will kill with the ole "if I cant have her then nobody will" excuse and I honestly feel that PF was a risk to harm that child.

Thankfully the baby should be safe from now on.

That's what I am thinking, too.

I don't think he wanted custody of her- just bragging rights that "poor me, I have to take care of the baby because her mother emotionally doesn't want to or can't". I think this was all an act on his part to look like a decent father, looking out for his daughter. He no more wanted custody of Baby K then we all want to walk into a poisonous snake pit. He never filed the papers, after having a lawyer help him fill them out.

His mother trying to get custody is also a head scratcher. I remember watching her walk on video, she could barely walk across a room and certainly didn't appear fit enough to have sole custody of a toddler, while her son is in prison. To my knowledge, just her and Patrick lived at the ranch, who was going to chase Baby K around once she started running around, like a normal child? With a stove in the middle of the kitchen area or living room, with no gate around it? Come on. This was all an act on their part.

I never believed this was a custody issue. Patrick was done with both Kelsey and Krystal. His only undoing was that he couldn't convince Krystal to take Kelsey's body with her back to Idaho, although she sure did get rid of Kelsey's phone after she made a few texts on it on the way to Idaho, and her gun. He was killing one woman while trying to frame the other woman.

I don't understand why someone would murder someone for power, and would like to see an example. But in researching this, I find the quote: "all homicides spring from financial greed, lust, or pursuit of power". To me, homicides of financial greed and lust also involve power, but I still wonder if "power" is the single motive of a homicide. Drunk drivers probably kill 10,000 per year and doesn't make the list.

Power would include being able to control one’s children.

I'm guessing the defense is staking everything on the closing argument. In the opening argument, defense argued that the facts didn't add up to the prosecution's interpretation. There doesn't appear to have been any serious attempt to cast doubt on the facts or the experts' testimony. I wonder what the defense's alternate interpretation of the facts is going to be.

I admit I'm biased, but I just don't see a whole lot of wiggle room here.

Odds on PF deciding to testify? Will he, in his arrogance, believe that he can dupe the jury the way he duped so many folks in and around Florissant?

Odds on an appeal being filed if the jury does (please, please) find him guilty?

He won’t testify and he will appeal. 99.999% on both of those IMO.

I agree. I think it was Sam or Lance that said her Dad looked up and listened when they were talking about Kelsey. He needed that, and I know Cheryl will need to hear that when Mr. Berreth is able to talk to her after court today.

All that they have heard so far is the negative things PF said to all these people he worked for. It's high time they heard that someone from Colorado thought highly of their daughter, as she was surrounded by so much animosity and hate by the people in Patrick's life.

Right now, the prosecution is likely presenting the forensic evidence, which would be one hell of a way to close.

The jury is now aware of the entire picture, and already knows what the forensic evidence will mean, and why it is significant.

My questions are what the forensics say about the following:

What was found in Kelsey’s condo?

What was found inside the Franch?

What was found in that barn at Nash?

What was found in the burn area?

What was found on PF’s clothing, to include his boots?

What was found inside PF’s vehicle?

I don’t anticipate that we’ll hear damning results as to all of these locations/items, but the prosecution only needs a few.

ETA: I’d love for there to be a break right now so we can get a feel for what’s going on. Otherwise, we’ll have to wait a few hours.

Some great defense there, ha ha! Their best line to date- "there was no blood on his clothing". Did someone pay them to not even bother to argue on his behalf- just sit there for several days while the prosecution's witnesses demolish him, one by one?

Of course, I don't believe that- just sarcasm folks.

Haha...They're doing the best with what they've got...a very guilty client! They can't enter evidence that doesn't exist to show KK as the murderer and they can't present some of the fantastical theories we've heard on social media based on nothing more than speculation.

They can poke holes til PF's cows come home and it's not going to matter...PF is going down. MOO

What she has testified to has been completely backed up by evidence, to include numerous witnesses.

It’s easy to see, unless you are willing to close your eyes, stick your fingers in your ears, and hum loudly. Unless you hate her so much that all logic goes out the window.

Which is actually happening in some parts. Let’s just hope it doesn’t happen in the jury room.

Then the other little things like: she killed KB and cleaned up and removed the body (without being seen on camera) between the times he was seen going in with KB and then leaving with the baby. So did he not wonder why the baby was home alone? Wonder where KB was? And why didn’t he text KB to ask her?

Yeah and all the other things, phones, totes, Nash ranch, hay bales, troughs, friends bearing witness against him, the weirdness with the bank...

I would love to see and listen to the investigators when they broke the case and brought him in. Maybe one day. But I imagine it went like this.,,

I agree that was my first red flag ! In nearly every picture he is just more or less dangling her .
