I view SF as an old apple tree with at least one apple laying up next to her trunk. I'd love to feel sorry for her as a fellow mom. But I can't. As a nurse, she most likely had signs of the cruelty of her son. But there are just some people who just close their eyes and it goes away. It's easier. MOO, MOO

or maybe it was easier to be a nurse if she was not really empathetic... just an idea, IMO

Something tells me this might not be the last time we hear something about PF. With his propensity for violence and abuse, it wouldn’t surprise me if he beats someone up in prison...inmate, guard...unless he’s in solitary confinement. Maybe not...I’m just thinking about Watts, and how that day when he was sentenced, I figured that was the last we’d hear about him. But no, he kept creeping up like an infected wound that just wouldn’t go away. Maybe this will be different with PF. I wonder if investigators will visit him later on down the road to see if he feels like talking...

Meh... Unless he's being housed with eager-to-please, or-eager-to-'save' women, he'll be more likely on the receiving end of any beatings. I don't think he has the cajones to pick on someone his own size.

ETA: For the record, I'm not demeaning women who are somehow compelled to 'save' men with compromised or non-existent morals ~ my own daughter fit that description for several years, in fact, and I actually have nothing but the utmost respect for her, despite our historical disagreements. She's ended up with a pretty good guy now, I think. Others seem to fall into these traps over and over and over again, and just can't find their way out. But there's likely more to their stories, and we can only wish safety and protection upon them until they're ready to chose differently, IMO.

Please tell me Sam didn't say that KB couldn't get her nails done because PF said only 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 do that. ?

Did you hear that @MassGuy? MOO
Well, here we go again with Mommy Dearest's influence. That sounds like something MaF would say, doesn't it?

That’s what @susiQ said too.

No. That’s a huge distinction, and was one of the requirements of her plea deal.

If she helped, there was no deal. There is no evidence that she knew the murder was imminent, or that she helped pull off the actual killing.

She helped him get away with it, but that’s not what we’re talking about.

Everyone knows she could have stopped this, and saved Kelsey’s life. And no one is happy that she’s getting off light.

But again, that’s not the discussion.
I'm aware of the terms of the plea deal and that is not what I meant by 'helping'. I'm not going to comment on this further.

I agree @MassGuy I think we just saw the thin outer layer of PF peeled back. He is a deviant monster .
Agreed!
He needs to be away from society.
No one is safe with him on the streets

Well, I'm more inclined to think someone's going to beat him up. He's just a tad arrogant and he may think he's some kinda gangsta but he's WAY out of his league. He may have felt tough beating a poor, defenceless 110 lb. woman to death, but he's no match for what's inside of max. prison. It won't be anything like the county jail. If we hear about him I'm guessing he's going to be the one on the receiving end of the violence, unless of course they give him protection. That would irk me because he doesn't deserve any. JMHO
You made a good point!!

Well if you don’t want to clarify, that’s fine. But the fact remains, there is no evidence that KK “helped” with the murder itself.

Just one more thing to add to the long list of sick things this jerk did. Can you imagine, pouring gas on the mother of your child's deceased body, after brutally killing her? Then to show no emotion throughout the trial? This guy is way beyond rehabilitating.

This was worth repeating twice...

Wait 'til I tell that to all of my fellow "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" down at Princess Nails. MOO
Please tell me there are a couple of female prison guards that get their nails done, like my friend (bless her heart, I have no idea how she does that job!).

Still Missing - CO - Kelsey Berreth, 29, Woodland Park, Teller County, 22 Nov 2018 - *Arrest* #65

11/18/19 Day 11: The judge started Monday morning by reading 22 instructions for the jurors. Jury is instructed not to conduct any research on this case and not communicate with anyone about the case until deliberations are complete. Any verdicts must be unanimous. His charges are: 2 counts 1st degree murder (to align with the prosecution’s theories on how he did it), 3 counts of solicitation to commit 1st degree murder, 1st degree felony murder (death during attempted robbery) and charged (4/5/19) with 2 counts of crime of violence (sentence enhancer).
There are six forms of verdict in this case.
Verdict count 1– murder in first degree after deliberation. They answer questions: did he use or threaten use of deadly weapon, did defendant cause death. Both should be signed if guilty. Only one if not guilty. Prosecutors must prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

Verdict count 2 — solicitation to commit first-degree murder (allegations he told Kenney to poison a coffee for Berreth on Sept 23).
Verdict count 3 — murder in first degree felony murder. They answer questions: did defendant use or threaten use of deadly weapon, did defendant cause death. One signed if not guilty. Both if found guilty. Prosecutors must prove beyond reasonable doubt.
Verdict count 4 — solicitation to commit first-degree murder (allegations he told Kenney to kill Berreth with a bat on Oct 21).
Verdict count 5 — solicitation to commit first-degree murder (allegations he told Kenney to kill Berreth with a pipe on Oct 15).
Verdict count 6 — tampering with deceased human body.
Each side got 90 minutes for closing. Closing arguments by Assistant DA Elizabeth Reed (1 hour); Public defener, Adam Steigerwald for Frazee (30 minutes). DA Dan May gave rebuttal (30 minutes). Jury started deliberations at 11:15am MT (8:15pm my time). Judge Scott Sells says he’ll dismiss the jury around 5 p.m. if they don’t get a verdict today. Jury asked to see the security camera image of Frazee leaving Kelsey's condo on 11/22/18. After 3 1/2 hours of deliberations the Jury found Frazee GUILTY on all counts: first-degree murder, solicitation to commit murder, robbery (taking Kelsey Berreth's cell phone) and tampering with a body. Frazee received the maximum sentence. Life without possibility of parole plus 156 years, plus 5 years with parole for solicitation. He was put in cuffs and escorted out.

*Child: Review hearing on 12/5/19.

*Krystal Jean Lee (Kenney) – Plea deal-plead guilty to 1 count of tampering with physical evidence, a class 6 felony, with an open sentence. Will testify at Frazee’s trial. Review hearing on 12/2. That will NOT be a sentencing date. Assuming the trial is complete, she will report to probation on that day with sentencing scheduled for 8 weeks after that. Judge Sells says if the trial is delayed, he plans to just delay that review hearing as needed.

Deputy District Attorney Beth Reed talked on the honor to serve the Berreth family. Jennifer Viehman says the work to bring justice is something she’ll never forget.

Something new tonight on Sam's report to me, was the fact PF would not let Kelsey get her nails done,"Because only 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 get their nails done" That was something her Uncle read or spoke of. He was controlling her every action, that is just to sad to me. EBM sorry this was already brought up.

Seriously, this guy is a nutbag times septillion. If it wasn't for the fact that poor Kelsey is no longer a part of this world, his comments would be comical. What a shame that when MaF kicked her out, that she didn't go back home to parents, where she would have been away from these crazy fools.

I regret KK won't be spending the holidays behind bars. Hopefully, next year!

Not enough to actually do it. I initially thought the same, but after seeing the evidence, there is absolutely nothing to indicate that.

This is a guy who used people, and tried to solicit murders from behind bars. The same thing he did with KK, he tried to do with that John Doe.

It’s a pattern.

PF manipulated KK. I am actually surprised that she testified against him to save herself, because it was a 360 degree turn in her brain to do that. She had betrayed her parents, her reputation, her profession, her children and her husband for him. She had ceased to have a self by the time she was cleaning up his crime scene, IMO.

I don't believe she didn't poison the coffee. Kelsey just didn't drink it..
I agree, unfortunately, we can't prove she did poison it, and Krystal can't prove that she didn't poison it, because no doubt about it, Kelsey dumped that down the drain.

I’m still insanely confused about how PF managed to leave not just bread crumbs, but an entire loaf that led back to him, but somehow managed to fully dispose of Kelsey’s body in a manner where it has still not been found.

I feel like today was a bit tainted by the fact that her body hasn’t been, and may never be, returned home to her family.

Trash. I’m pretty sure that her whole body wasn’t burnt to ash because remains are frequently found after massive fires go through and area and also, bone fragments can still be found when people are cremated which is super high heat.

But I think he just took whatever was left and threw it in the trash somewhere and it was transported to the dump.

Once that happens it is exceedingly hard to locate.

You’re probably right. Would she really come all the way down here to hand Kelsey a regular coffee? She wanted Kelsey dead. IMO.

What we this about no DNA of PF's in the washer or dryer?

Can DNA stick inside washers and dryers?
