PF manipulated KK. I am actually surprised that she testified against him to save herself, because it was a 360 degree turn in her brain to do that. She had betrayed her parents, her reputation, her profession, her children and her husband for him. She had ceased to have a self by the time she was cleaning up his crime scene.

Well, once LE found her, she found her "self" :)

Trash. I’m pretty sure that her whole body wasn’t burnt to ash because remains are frequently found after massive fires go through and area and also, bone fragments can still be found when people are cremated which is super high heat.

But I think he just took whatever was left and threw it in the trash somewhere and it was transported to the dump.

Once that happens it is exceedingly hard to locate.
PF even forewarned his ranch hands if they find bones it is just elk horns.

That tells me there were some bones visable

Exactly, I think there was probably a decent amount left of her remains.

Like the ranch hand testified, the trash can that was near the fire pit was 40-50lbs

Frazee trial: Defense asks why Kenney didn't alert authorities

"He said when he came back to work after Thanksgiving, he noticed a silver, metal garbage can about two or three feet away from the trough. The lid was on, so he never looked inside, he said, but he assumed there were ashes from whatever Frazee had burned. Frazee didn’t tell him what was inside, he said. He helped Frazee load the garbage can into the back of his truck — he estimated it was between 40 and 50 pounds — and never saw it again, he said."

Forgive me if my excitement is premature, and also if this has been addressed in the 9+ pages that I've fallen behind (AGAIN! Damn, my dog is lucky he's so cute!), but... does this mean that KK could face additional charges in Idaho? Like, BIG charges?!?!
I was hoping this could happen, but I don't know if because she made a deal with the prosecutors, if they can touch her.

Maybe our legal experts could chime in on this?

I'm about 417 posts behind, as I signed off on page 6 after the verdict and sentencing. I saw there was a verdict on Twitter, after this site crashed and I figured something was up. I'm so grateful the jury came to the right decision. I thank God that Kelsey and her family got justice.

As always I appreciate the posters here who updated with media and twitter posts-I often saw things here that I didn't see on my twitter feed. The DAs did an amazing job to bring this verdict home. The public defenders did the best they could with the $h** sandwich they had in their client and the "bad facts" they had to work with.

As for the "deal with the devil", I believe prosecutors regularly find themselves in a situation where they have to make deals to get to the "bigger fish". If not for KKL, this case would have likely gone unsolved. Now, PF is off to prison, and baby KB should be safe from the (likely) toxic Frazee relatives. Thank God for that as well.

All I can figure is Steigerwald (sp?) thought maybe he'd get a break on some of the charges.

I don't see how but I suppose hope springs eternal and if you didn't have some, how could you show up and do that job everyday?

Then again, maybe he was just doing what defense attorneys do.....shake their heads at the end.
Or maybe he was shaking his head because of Patrick. I think they knew from the first week on, they were fighting a losing battle. It was probably embarrassing to them to represent him.

What we this about no DNA of PF's in the washer or dryer?

Can DNA stick inside washers and dryers?
I believe Patrick either took a change of clothes to Kelsey's or already had one there.

I don't see him ever doing laundry. I think that was just talk.

PF should be a case study on how The depths of despair can make some people/criminals make horrific choices in an attempt to escape it. Granted this is an extreme example. I think he murdered her to escape his despair over custody, his life circumstances, The implication that his mother wanted him to get rid of the “prostitute” (and stood on the balcony watching the fire, according to kk) Jmo. soliciting murder within the jail was an act of despair/ attempt at regaining control. he’s not the first guy to try Absolutely anything to escape a life in prison. I’ll be curious to hear where they transfer him.

I would think Patrick's lawyers knew they were sunk when they first learned of the cell phone evidence!

It's been a mighty long year for them!

Don't know if it's been said and I'll never catch up with this thread at this point. So glad the Berreths will adopt baby K!! Adoption will cut off all of PF's rights and hopefully SF's too!!!

Everything I've read says the deal KK got is the one and only and covers everything.

I don't think DA May would have expressed such grief over their deal with the devil if there was hope for more.

I believe she wanted she wanted it as much as he did.
MOO
I think many of us believe that. I know that I do. She will always be a disgrace and no good that she does now or in the future will ever wipe out her involvement in this.

I also think Patrick wanted both women gone- he was probably pretty ticked off that the coffee didn't kill Kelsey, as it would have been an easy frame without a mess to clean.

Then she came down two more times, but couldn't do it. He was no doubt angry because her second and third attempts failed. So he did the deed himself, had her do the clean up, had her bring Kelsey's phone and gun with her to Idaho, and he expected her to bring Kelsey's body back to Idaho with her. He was setting her up- two in one shot- one murdered, the other framed and behind bars for life, while he started a new relationship with another unsuspecting lady who no doubt would have been another woman in Patrick's life for his mother to degrade and insult.

It just amazes me how foolish Krystal was, to even consider partaking in all of this. Did she really believe that she was going to live happily ever after with her cowboy? He didn't want the child she was carrying, that was his, to which she later aborted. Then she finds out later, that not only was he seeing Kelsey, she had a baby with him, to which he appeared to love and be proud of! You can't tell me, she wasn't angry that there was another woman in his life, who bore his child- she had to have been livid.

Then Krystal basically played a game with LE- the childish elementary school game "I know something you don't know!", but refused to talk and lied to LE, until the prosecution agreed to make a deal that she was satisfied with. I've said before and I'll say it again, she's a narc. She's no hero, she is a zero, and even Dan May feels the same way- his comment about "making a plea with the devil" speaks volumes.

Oh, yikes! There are more paper towels?!
One thing I somewhat disagree with Dan May on, and it's probably minor, or just me, haha.

I do think that that last witness, Doe, with the letters of the hit list and names of witnesses on them, made a HUGE impact on the jury. While he might not have been necessary to get a guilty verdict, I do think that sealed the deal for the jurors and the judge. Plus, they had to let all the people on that list know to be aware and take precautions. They are pursuing this, according to May. I know if I was a juror and had any doubts at all, that would be the clincher for me. I can't speak for anyone else.

It'll be wonderful if DA May writes a book about this case.

If he's not a writer I'd expect someone has contacted him about ghostwriting one.

We may get answers to all the questions we've batted around this year and won't that be cool?!

Frightening! One thing I noticed was that he included all of KKL's adult family members but not her children. I wonder if the children were also on his hit list. MOO
I think they were on the list, which just disgusts me. I know I read somewhere, or maybe Sam said it in his video after?

If the Berreth's legally adopt Baby K, that will give them total control over who is allowed to see her. SF will have no legal right for visitation. It's all up to the Berreth's discretion for the well being of the child, from their perspective.

At one point, I read their names, on one of the notes. In other articles, their names weren't listed. So I am not sure.

I can see the adoption of Baby K move swift and speedily.

At this point I just can't see MaF or EF fighting for the baby.

MOO the court will by pass either of them getting custody and baby K then will be called: Kaley Berreth
Oh I wouldn't put it past them to try to get custody or visitation. They aren't normal people. They aren't people that do the right thing (except for Patrick's brother). I don't see them laying down. Right now, MaF is angry and hurting that her son is serving life in prison. You think she's going to go away anytime soon? I don't, unless she's arrested and charged in the future. Until then, her hatred for Kelsey will only deepen, now that Patrick is gone. That's what scares me the most.

I hope they won't have the money to pay attorneys to pursue the case.

I wouldn't think the sister would put up her inheritance and we know SF2 won't.

Besides maybe they'll all just keep fighting over the money until billable hours eat it up!

I believe he killed in order to have full possession of the baby. I think that attitude came from somewhere. So I won’t be surprised if she did continue to fight.

I think many people were standing at the 'GUILTY' door, about ready to open it...then those notes just shoved us all through the entry way, into the living room...
