The thought mentioned above of KB going for a plane ride with a friend could be a possibility. She would likely have other pilots as friends and if the pilot friend picked her up, would she need to take more than a purse with her?

I don’t know if ride services like Uber and Lyft are available in that area, but a long those same lines as mentioned above, she could have also gone out with a friend that picked her up. In that case she would not have more than a purse with her.

In both the plan ride or car ride with a friend, either another person is also missing / incapacitated or someone knows something and is not speaking up. It has been national news for at least a few days, right?

And then there’s those elusive cinnamon roles. Not sure how to explain that, unless the outing was intended on being a short one.

Since I can't see anything happening to her in the Safeway parking lot, she makes it home on her own. Her car was found in the garage. Something happens after she makes it home. I don't think she went out for a run or a hike because it isn't likely that she would take her purse.

A text is sent from her phone on the 25th saying she won't be in the following week. Her mother contacts fiancé on the same day. I wonder if the text was sent to her place of employment and they contacted mom because it was out of character for KB (maybe mom was listed as contact person), then mom contacts fiancé.

Nothing was said about Kelsey's mother contacting the "fiance". The Police said that her work received a text and her "fiance" received a text on November 25th.

I think that’s just the way it is with some families these days.

Kelsey's mother was asking questions and contracting people related to Kelsey within 3 days, but police did not act for another 8 days and the fiancé never did react to her disappearance.

It's good to finally get some answers! She was last seen at the Safeway in relation to custody arrangements where her daughter was handed off to her fiancé. As someone mentioned upthread, exchanging children at a public place usually means that it is safer for one of the parents to avoid being alone with the other. I'm guessing that this was safer for Kelsey.

She went silent around that time, so that would mean that the last person who saw her, and who is known to her, is her fiancé.

The same day that Kelsey's mother called the fiancé to ask about Kelsey, Nov 25, texts were sent from her phone. These texts most likely placed her phone in Idaho.

The mystery seems to be more or less solved, with the remaining piece being to locate her body.

Yes - Nov 25 is key. Kelsey's mom started looking into her whereabouts on the 25th, and that's the same date that the employer receives texts from Kelsey and the same day her phone pings in Idaho.

So...was the fiance in Idaho on Nov 25? Do we know where he and baby spent Thanksgiving?

I wonder if I send a phone in the mail to Idaho, then when it gets there (still in the post office), and call the phone number (at night when the post office is closed) will it ping its location? Then the post office sends the package back due to incorrect address. Is that a possible scenario?

Any thoughts on why her mother waited until December 2nd at 12:37pm to make the missing persons report if she was already calling around looking for her 1 week prior?

Fiance received text from Kelsey's cell 11/25. The same day Kelsey's cell texted her job saying she would be out for the following week. 11/25 was when cell first pinged in Gooding, Idaho.

Some facts from the press I noted:

mother reported her missing to LE on 12.37pm dec 2nd

kelsey texted WORK on November 25th telling work she would not be in the following week

officers went to residence on dec 2nd ‘welfare check’ she was not there

mother reached out to fiance [are we allowed to name him yet or not since he is not a suspect?] saying he hadn’t heard from Kelsey since nov 25th when she texted him

the daughter was exchanged at Safeway on nov 22nd, child is now with father

Kelsey shopped with her daughter last sighting was 12.27pm nov 22pm

phone pinged 5.13pm Idaho on Nov 25th

home and vehicles have been searched

no suspects

mother last spoke to Kelsey 19 days ago

mother states:

Kelsey does not run off. out of character. loves her daughter and job. reliable, considerate, honest.

Journalists ask questions. LE answers:

Fiance isn’t there. he was invited. he is ‘co-operative at this time’

No indication that she has taken off in an aeroplane

the baby is with the father

nothing to indicate foul play

KB has lived in the area since 2016, he won’t comment on other factors which might have made her disappear

yes they searched the apartment, the buns were cold

they have not searched the fiance's apartment

Journalist asks to clarify that they have separate residences. Policeman is about to say he won't comment on their relationship when the mother interrupts to say 'they have never lived together'.

LE - ‘That’s a question we’ll have to ask [FIANCEE]’

They exchanged the daughter on Thanksgiving Day. It is still unclear who has primary custody.

The mother lives in Idaho.

No indication of danger to community.

No police records of DV.

Journalist asks to clarify fact that KB 'went missing' and THEN requested time off from work – via TEXT. LE says KB didn’t say why she was requesting time off. They end the press conference, saying that LE are asking the same questions.

A journalist asks if Fiancee is a suspect. The policeman says ‘at this time he is the father of her daughter, This is a missing persons case’

The FBI is assisting this investigation.

No. A phone turned on and mailed, will still transmit location data along the journey.

The package wouldn’t be opened by the post office, regardless.

The police in the presser when he went through the timeline specifically said that they did the check after her mother reported Kelsey missing which was on December 2nd. The police didn't say they did a check on the 25th.

Good to know - thanks for clarifying. Seems to be a lot of circle talk. We need a good time line posted.
