I stumbled upon this case today as I was trying to catch up here. Then I got home tonight, (in Michigan) and it was on the National news !!! So glad to see that as a lot of cases don't make it on the National news. Praying she is safe somewhere. I am hoping to dig deeper into this tomorrow.

My kids call them “homemade”. I need to step up my game I guess after reading so many sluethers make the real deal!
Nah, bottom line.. store bought , Mama baked.

But don't you think it would be highly elaborate planning to make a 28 hour minimum round trip as part of the ruse?

No.

I don't think there was a plan for anything "bad" to happen on Thanksgiving (in particular). But something apparently did, IMO spontaneously. Which means a quick and invariably faulty plan of cover. Crimes of passion and their coverups are rarely thought out in detail.

It would. If she is like most people, she would have spent it with friends or family.

The fact that no one reported her missing early on, means that she didn’t have plans, or if she did, her plans involved her assailant.

Assuming foul play of course.
Some religions do not celebrate holidays. I do NOT know if that is the case here, but it might explain why they were not particularly concerned about spending Thursday, Nov 22 together as a family.

Total speculation.jmo

I make homemade cinnamon rolls, so I kinda like the detail.

It would be awesome if the rolls provide the clincher clue to solve the case. (Yeah, I know that is corny.)

Like fingerprints in the icing!!

We sure did. They were brilliant in the Watts case, and I’d expect nothing different here.

Exactly!

I went to the beginning here and on the official Facebook page. I can’t find the reference to her having plans with friends that night. Maybe it’s another case or I dreamed it?

The lack of info to the public with her still being considered a “missing person” is concerning. LE knows a lot more or they’d be giving more details about her. MOO!

Right...sounds like fiance went to her place to pick up baby. So she was home at that time, obviously. Were the cinnamon rolls baked by then? Is the whole batch there, or did anyone eat any? Or were there no rolls when he picked up the baby and she made them after he left? If that is the case, she was home for awhile - long enough to at least bake them. Convenience rolls from a tube would take less time than rolls from scratch.

(I want the rolls to play a role, lol!)

Why in the world would she leave her place with her purse and not her car? The only explanation that makes any sense is that someone came to pick her up and she left home willingly, thinking she would return. Or, someone took her and the purse against her will.

Omg the rolls soliloquy made me LOL

Yeah. That would obviously change things considerably, if there were religious beliefs in play here.

I usually don’t think about behavior in those terms, although that’s something I should do.

We could definitely use more information there.

Well, I'd like to know if they did indeed see the baby over that weekend. Or, did he go out of town over the weekend?

Me too, glambing, campiming

Ok, so fiance pics up baby from mom's house because Kelsey live in separate homes? <modsnip - not victim friendly>

19, I took notes like a nerd lol
Good! Me too. With the bad reporting on this case, we will need WSers taking notes, imo.

Her religious sect isn't big on celebrating holidays and they are vegetarians. So, don't know how that plays with Thanksgiving.
Tofurkey??
