Alexandra Gralewski is accused of taking Leo Liscum, 2, while he was being watched by a babysitter on Sunday at a home in the 1600 block of East Eisenhower Boulevard, according to the Loveland Police Department (LPD).
  • Leo's father, Jacob Liscum, has full, court-granted parental control, while Gralewski has no legal standing.
  • Gralewski is not associated with any known vehicles.
  • LPD investigators said they "have reason to be concerned for the physical safety of the child, but ... Gralewski is not a threat to the general public."
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Gerard Cortina at 970-962-2061 or North Metro Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868.

LPD has requested CBI issue a statewide missing/endangered alert as the facts of the case do not meet the eligibility requirements for an AMBER Alert.

Gralewski is known to stay in hotels along the I-25 corridor, they said.

Investigators believe Gralewski may currently be with a man by the name of Adam Russell Brooks.

Police said “no known vehicles are associated with Gralewski” at this time.

Leo Liscum is 3-feet tall with green/hazel eyes and brown hair. He weighs 40 pounds.

His mother, Alexandra Gralewski, is 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighs 127 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Loveland PD searching for 2-year-old boy, mother with ‘no legal parental standing’
Police stated the following about why an AMBER Alert was not issued:

“At this time the department has not issued an AMBER alert. The criteria for AMBER alerts is set by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and requires an abducted child, not just a missing child, who is 17-years-old or younger and in immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death. Additionally, law enforcement must have enough descriptive information to believe a broadcast will help recover the child.”

How did she arrive at the home? Any traffic cameras or doorbell cameras capture her travels? Did the babysitter have training in who she was and to not let her take the child? This is a strange case.

There are numerous businesses up and down that block and I have to believe there are cameras with footage available if AG's mode of transportation sat in any of those parking lots while the abduction took place. خرائط ‪Google‬‏‏

Loveland Police Department Facebook page added an update. Lots of comments.

Update:

Due to the limited responses to the initial press release, the department has requested the Colorado Bureau of Investigation issue a statewide missing/endangered alert. At this time, the facts of the case still do not meet the eligibility requirements for an AMBER Alert. This is still an active and ongoing investigation.

In an update, the police department announced that they’re issuing a statewide missing/endangered alert due to the lack of tips in this case. They said the apparent kidnapping doesn’t meet the requirements of an AMBER Alert.

Gralewski has an open warrant for failing to appear on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald.

She must have had access to a vehicle or another person that had one. Did person babysitting know this woman or think it wasn't a good idea to let this little guy go with her ?
Prayers for Leo !

From above: Investigators believe Gralewski may currently be with a man by the name of Adam Russell Brooks.

So Mr. Brooks might have a car.
