It seems C152016M163 is a 2016 case, whereas the murder case would be a 2018 case.
There is only one case that populates for MACIAS-MORENO, EDGAR which is Case D152018CR189.

Judge rejects suppression motion in murder case

Edgar Macias-Moreno was not “in custody” at the time he reportedly confessed to the strangulation death of Madelaine Loh and his statements therefore will not be suppressed, a recent court ruling said.

On June 5, Macias-Moreno’s defense attorney argued the statements he made should be suppressed, because he was functionally in custody from the moment Archibeque began speaking to him — his interview took place in a secure area and although prior to his arrest he was told he was free to leave, Macias-Moreno did not think that he was, attorney Shandea Sergent argued.

In a July 9 order, District Judge Steven Schultz rejected most of the defense’s argument.

Archibeque was clearly interrogating Macias-Moreno about Loh’s disappearance, but the circumstances surrounding the interview “suggest the defendant was not in custody when he made his confession in this case,” Schultz said.

I checked Docket Search and I don't find MACIAS-MORENO, EDGAR.

UPDATE on the 2018 Madelaine Loh Homicide Case
Delta County District Court Judge Schultz ruled on July 9th that Edgar Macias-Moreno was NOT "in-custody" when he confessed to killing his girlfriend, 27-year old Madelaine Loh, last June in Hotchkiss and taking her body to Utah. Judge Schultz issued his ruling after Macias-Moreno's defense attorneys moved to suppress his statements in a June 5, 2019 suppression hearing. The case now proceeds to an August 12th plea hearing in District Court.

Edgar Macias-Moreno on Thursday pleaded guilty to second-degree murder as an act of domestic violence in the 2018 strangulation death of Madelaine Loh.

His plea agreement calls for between 25 and 40 years in prison. The felony-2 offense is classed as a crime of violence. Sentencing has been set for Nov. 15.

Macias-Moreno was initially charged with first-degree murder and animal cruelty; these charges were dismissed under the plea deal.

‘Guilty’: Man pleads in Hotchkiss murder
September 13, 2019
Edgar Macias-Moreno will spend between 25 and 40 years in prison for strangling Madelaine Loh last year in Hotchkiss.

Macias-Moreno, 25, responded with the word “Guilty” Thursday, when Delta District Judge Steve Schultz asked how he pleaded to an added count of second-degree murder, as an act of domestic violence, in the 2018 crime. Charges of first-degree murder, animal cruelty and concealing a death were dismissed under the agreement.

“Do you admit you committed this violent act?” Schultz also asked.

As he said in response to other questions, Macias-Moreno replied, “Yes, your honor.”

hmmm... just looking at my notes & what the article said his original charges were. I have:

charged (6/27/18) with 1st degree murder after deliberation, 2nd degree kidnapping, reckless endangerment, abused of corpse, aggravated car theft, illegal use of credit cards, fraud, concealing death, morals decency & cruelty to animal.

Some of these i.e. 2nd degree kidnapping - are not mentioned.

The felony-2 offense is classed as a crime of violence. Sentencing has been set for Nov. 15. Macias-Moreno was initially charged with 1st degree murder & animal cruelty; these charges were dismissed under the plea deal. 2nd degree murder is a class-2 felony that carries a sentence between 8 & 24 years, but because Macias-Moreno plead guilty to an offense that is categorized as a crime of violence, the sentencing range became 16 to 48 years. He stipulated to a sentence of at least 25 years, but not more than 40 as part of his plea.

I don't find any information on the NOV 15 sentence nor any current news of the case.
