At least she's not out walking the streets, at least the idiot judge locked her up somewhere.

From the link above:
"The judge ordered her to be held at the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo for treatment until she is deemed sane."

The questions is, for how long? I've heard of these people being released from psychiatric holds in literally months.

Her grandbaby?? 62 times?? How would one even differentiate 62 separatee stab wounds from a butcher knife on such a tiny body? Augh! I feel bad for the responding officers...I could never do their job.

So this dame's been in mental health facilities 6 times before...were those the result of crimes too?

There is a range of Bipolar disorder from less to more severe. Many people with the most severe form, Bipolar I, do experience psychosis, wherein they are unable to distinguish reality from delusions - hallucinations, etc.

I'm not a professional about bipolar disorder, but I have a good friend whose ex husband has one of the worst cases ever seen in our county. He would become so delusional that she could not go to sleep at night for fear of being murdered. He was not this way all of the time (thank God) but it became so bad that she had to divorce him and leave town for her own safety.
The part I don't understand is why someone didn't realize how bad she was getting. My friends husband would start showing symptoms several days before he got really bad and she would have time to take precautions. I am in no way blaming anyone for this, my heart is broken for everyone who loved this child and they will be in my prayers.
