The store she was last seen in would be a Dollar General, not a Dollar Tree. It appears that there is no Dollar Tree in Fruita.

According to the footage from the Dollar General, she was seen wearing Ugg boots - not sandals.

Thanks for noting that. The Dollar General outing was several hours earlier in the day but family has confirmed that she was wearing the Ugg boots at the time of her disappearance later in the afternoon.

Circumstances of Disappearance - Melissa left her nieces home in Grand Junction, Colorado after a visit and never arrived home, across town in Grand Junction. Her phone records show she drove directly to eastern Utah (remote area) and remained for a few hours before her phone went out of service. Searches in the area were unable to locate Melissa or her vehicle. She is known to have family in North Dakota, Oregon, and Washington, but there has been no contact with family since she was last seen.

I wish Melissa's niece would join WS and become verified. I'd love to ask about Melissa's state of mind while they visited. Was she depressed? Confused? Did she make any concerning statements? Did she mention any plans or appointments in the upcoming days? It would be nice to know more about Melissa and some of the things going on in her life in the days, weeks and months leading up to her going missing. Her niece or another verified loved one could certainly help shed some light on the circumstances surrounding Melissa's disappearance. Originally I thought perhaps Melissa took some time away to visit friends/family or just to get out and enjoy some time alone. I thought she'd be back in week or so but she has now missed two major holidays. I'm not so optimistic anymore. :( Where'd you go, Melissa, and why? MOO

Still no sign of Melissa or her car. It has been over 3 months. So unusual for someone of this age to be abducted and not found. Heartbreaking for the family. Really hoping for a break in this case soon.
