At the time of his disappearance, Nathaniel’s mother dropped him off for school. He apparently never made it to class. Nathaniel was wearing a black hoodie with the words “Mirage Recovery” on it, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes with white bottoms. His personal belongings were left at home. Nathaniel Holmes is a Caucasian male. He is 17 years old. Nathaniel is described as 5’9″ tall and 140 pounds.His hair is blond and his eyes are blue.'

Just watched this video. The sister said nothing about her brother having a girlfriend or anything like that. Also, I know here on the outskirts of Phila, there is one place in the city that people look if there is any question on drug use. There is a girl missing here for about 4 years now. Same thing. Its almost as if their life doesn't matter because there is a drug problem so the media dont make a big deal and the investigators don't try hard enough to find them. I hope and pray someone comes forward and says something.

Just listened to the "Vanished" podcast episode about Nathaniel. Surprised there isn't more info here about him, since he's been missing over a year now.

I didn't listen to the podcast, I just read what was written, as my reading skills far surpass by hearing ability!

Sad case! Seems like Nathaniel was a very interesting kid but looks like his interests would have made it hard to fit in at a traditional high school. Since Dad says Nathaniel "took something" that day before he went missing I'm guessing he means drugs. Wonder if he got in over his head in a situation involving drugs and came into the school to get help from a friend with the situation but couldn't get the friend out of class so he went to meet with someone himself and met with foul play. I would like to hear what the friend he wanted to talk hop that morning said when interviewed if he even was interviewed.

The other situation I picture is him being scared to get in trouble from parents after taking drugs the day before so he either killed himself in which case why hasn't he been found or he ran away in which case I also think he would have been found by now. He doesn't strike me as a kid who could stay in the streets for this long. He may have traveled extensively with his family but seems sheltered having been homeschooling on the computer until 5 weeks before.

Details of Disappearance
Nathaniel was last seen in Westminster, Colorado on December 19, 2017. His mother dropped him off at Hidden Lake High School that morning. He didn't attend classes that day, however.

He went to the principal's office and asked to speak to a friend, but the principal refused to cal Nathaniel's friend out of class. After this he walked out of the school. He called his mother and said he was going with a friend of his father's and he didn't need to be picked up. He never contacted his family again.

Nathaniel was using drugs at the time of his disappearance, and investigators believe he left of his own accord. His family is concerned for his well-being, however, as his disappearance is completely out of character. Prior to his disappearance, he didn't even spend the night at friend's houses. He left his belongings behind, including his iPad.

When Nathaniel was eight years old, his parents divorced, and his father got custody of him and his siblings. The family traveled extensively, including to Canada, Mexico, Scotland, the Virgin Islands, and Africa. Nathaniel enjoys playing the bagpipes, hunting, and playing the game World of Warcraft.

He began attending Hidden Lake High School just five weeks prior to his disappearance; before then, he was enrolled in an online high school program. His case remains unsolved.

His sweatshirt had Mirage Recovery on it. Was he interested in trucks and towing? Perhaps he left to work in the auto recovery and towing field.

Has the friend ever been identified or interviewed? Also why is the ipad not looked into? I feel like they should have done that to begin with. It does seem reasonable that drugs would be apart of it. I also want to know how vocal the mother has been, being that she was also one of the last people to see him. Was the principal interviewed too ?
