saying gunshot wounds then saying maybe it wasn't "gunshot"...then saying gun recovered, one suspect at the moment...Shooter is dead self inflicted; no other threats one student injured no other injuries at this time. *cnn* press conf.

Teacher inside school that entered school ID specific teacher was looking for that teacher exits allowing another teacher conf; armed suspect teacher shot dk details other than that. This is CNN so Ana Cabrera; just reported this on CNN about the suspect looking for a specific teacher. That teacher was sent right out of school safely; while other teacher conf gunman.

Press conference on CNN - saying that the shooter may have been targeting a teacher there? Did anyone else hear that? They said the teacher quickly left the building. And yes, they aren't saying what type of wound the shooter had that caused his death.

Main message of press conf; was that everyone is safe now and the incident is over but they will be back at 3pm for an update. Refused to comment on the "device" info...can't verify it but said he would at 3pm.

Not ruling out other suspects, this is for safety reasons, they are not indicating there are other suspects.

Please keep the shooters family in your thoughts, they have been notified per CNN; they do know the ID they have the student's ID and locker on shutdown..but parents hv just been notified that their child; committed suicide and also wounded others at school today. Let's keep that in mind, a moment of silence for them please, because only they know if there was something "off" or if they allowed guns in the home etc etc.
Everyone still being checked but they feel that the active "shooter" was acting alone per CNN. *transcribing vry loosely as they report* Off now, to go meditate.

I"m so very sorry, that of all days to do this again; to cause this I feel it's exactly what this person wanted. Bear in mind that this suspect was looking "for a specific teacher" that teacher was taken to safety outside of the school...while another confronted the suspect. That is all the sheriff would state until 3pm. Per cnn breaking news live.

I believe this will be the teacher with whom the suspect was confronted after teacher they were seeking was sent OUT of the school because he was armed.
He/she not established.

The dead gunman was a male student at the high school, Sheriff Grayson Robinson told reporters. He declined to identify the student.

"We have not been able to locate a second suspect, but that's part of our ongoing investigation," the sheriff said.


The shooting began after the student entered the school and identified a teacher whom he wanted to confront, Robinson said. That teacher was informed of the situation and exited, he added. One student was taken to a hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound; another was injured, though the cause was not clear, he said.

I wish it would, LambChop. My DH is a teacher, we've already been through one lock down a month after school started, students with weapons, and he teaches at a middle school. Scares me to pieces.

Witness on CNN just said the targeted teacher was the librarian, reporter quick to point out that it's unconfirmed. Now I have the shivers remembering the Columbine library

When will this stop?

When we outlaw firearms in our society; like Japan did. Semi Auto's any Auto's and parents need to lock up their ammo and their weapons. BE RESPONSIBLE!

I hope that didn't happen with this family; but look somehow this child was able to get a gun. Shooter ID as Male per cnn and scanner info airing live.

I feel horrific; and I think the info on cnn about a teacher being wounded has not been correct or not substantiated yet...

Still sweeping the whole entire area; in case there was more than one shooter; in case others were involved. It is an AMAZING FACT that LE was IN the school in 15 minutes. That is something else, let me just say. I feel so ill about this. I'm sure all of you do as well. Like the former LE office on cnn said; someone may have known "he" may have written about what he was going to do; so they are trying to "round up"
his friends asap. :grouphug:
